Eclypse responded saying they are going to try and work with the IP owners to push the project forward regardless as a respectful (and legal) adaption. So its pretty much in the air right now.

This is my first time ever experiencing the story of Berserk. I've heard numerous accounts personally and non-personally alike about the impact it's made. Anytime I hear something like these accounts about I story I've been recommended I always have some sort of notion of what it is like, especially if I get ever so miniscule glimpses into small portions of its nature. And every time I am gladly and happily surprised and intrigued by it's truest and ultimate nature. I am only 4 hours and 35 minutes into this story and I couldn't be more thankful for a such a masterpiece of tale to be told
Now it seems that I have to start reading the manga… The story has captured me, and I really want to find out how did he make it out of the other dimension. Tried season two, but animation and style make it barely watchable.
Agreed, grew up watching dub anime. As I got older I became more of a sub purist but hearing old VAs is strangely nostalgic. They actually gave a damn and had component writing/acting
@ agreed i think there was a wider range of sounds in their voices back then. Modern day dubbing has a strange performer homogeneity that i cant describe other than speaking with a weirdly “gruff” tone or sounding like a character a child would make while pretending to be a tough guy. No matter the anime or character they speak with this strange gruffness.

Was literally about to comment this exact same thing. It really gives you a great feeling of the emotion Berserk wanted you to feel in each scene. The backing track played when Guts n Kaskas have those conversations under the stars where they talk about their dreams just makes you understand there was something growing between them by them opening up to each other about there goals in life. It’s beautiful man, I love Berserk.

When I first watched Berserk I got to about episode 5 and then I lost interest (god knows how!) and resumed it SIX months later and then I stopped right before the eclipse… I had heard things and was fearful of how sad it would be. I’m now choosing to rewatch it - fully - so I can remember the story without breaks. I really regret watching it in the order I did since it ruined the impact of the ending but I still balled my eyes out and was devastated. Either way, this anime will always have an impact on me. Such a masterpiece and movingly philosophical. Guts’ theme was my 5th top song this year. It’s beautiful, and solemn. RIP Miura

This is God level Tier anime. Back when it was gritty, and creative. EDIT: NOV 1st. So after some comments below, I want to clear up what makes this God Tier. First: The story, is beyond great! 2nd: Characters are all great, most have their own backstories that could be anime's all on their own. 3rd: If you were alive when this came out, you know this was the best animation possible for the time period. You don't compare a 72 corvette to a 2004 corvette. Thank you
And wasn't entirely CGI and digital which makes it look worse. Anime has gone from being a beautiful style like this to looking like cheap shiny plastic figurines or PS1 cutscenes in 25 years.

I respectfully disagree. I watched this for the first time a month ago, and one of the main things I was thinking throughout the show was , “well how did he lose an eye?” When I saw it was the last episode I was still wondering, then when I actually saw how it occurred, it obviously Waaayyy worse than I was thinking, which added to the emotional impact of seeing the eclipse for the first time. It also made me just feel terrible for the guy I saw in the first episode and understand they are a tremendously tragic character where they are in the first episode.

Beautiful depictions of man’s dreams and how they can lose themself in others dreams. Griffith is a different kind of evil and I love it. We are all a bit of Griffith and Guts. I live this story so much. Griffith speech about a man dream and how we need it to be alive is so on point.
Love this take. We all have qualities of both the hero and the fallen hero. Being aware of that fact alone is incredibly important. Some of us are charming, but if you use that skill too often and maybe too well it starts to become manipulation like Griffith. Some of us are strong, but how you use that strength is what matters like Guts. know when you maybe have taken something too far, and know when not to give up a the same time. Check yourself constantly to be the best version of the evil and good in you.
Try the Manga... It's like eating a Pepper X after enjoying this nice sweet pepper.. Kentaro Miura makes some of the most brutal pieces of art look like an episode of Pokémon
I like this type of anime style. It did not give to much away and it introduces people to the manga. It also gets you hyped if there is another season. I never even heard of Puck until I read bits of the manga. The manga was never in stores when I was growing up.
Thank you for making this series super easy and accessible for my watching pleasure. Me and my oldest brother watched the movies, but I could never really get into it because of the horrendous CGI usage within the series. This has streamlined the whole show into such a watchable thing.

Downloaded this with J Downloader in a few minutes for my upcoming trip. Thanks a lot for doing the hard work of removing the intros and outros. I always wanted to find my fav anime's in this format but it doesn't seem to be popular because so many love the intro songs and what not, lol.

I respectfully disagree. I watched this for the first time a month ago, and one of the main things I was thinking throughout the show was , “well how did he lose an eye?” When I saw it was the last episode I was still wondering, then when I actually saw how it occurred, it obviously Waaayyy worse than I was thinking, which added to the emotional impact of seeing the eclipse for the first time. It also made me just feel terrible for the guy I saw in the first episode and understand they are a tremendously tragic character where they are in the first episode.
What does it mean when he got the Bailet at the end of ep 1 ? Just watched the whole thing… will he do the same thing Griffith did?

Beautiful depictions of man’s dreams and how they can lose themself in others dreams. Griffith is a different kind of evil and I love it. We are all a bit of Griffith and Guts. I live this story so much. Griffith speech about a man dream and how we need it to be alive is so on point.
Love this take. We all have qualities of both the hero and the fallen hero. Being aware of that fact alone is incredibly important. Some of us are charming, but if you use that skill too often and maybe too well it starts to become manipulation like Griffith. Some of us are strong, but how you use that strength is what matters like Guts. know when you maybe have taken something too far, and know when not to give up a the same time. Check yourself constantly to be the best version of the evil and good in you.
That fact you anit put yo face in this just shows you made this for the people AND I LOVE IT DEFINITELY GOT MY SUB

I can't believe how many Dark Souls things are just lifted straight from Berserk. I recognize so much in just one of these episodes.
I like this type of anime style. It did not give to much away and it introduces people to the manga. It also gets you hyped if there is another season. I never even heard of Puck until I read bits of the manga. The manga was never in stores when I was growing up.
Well... That took a turn, 10/10 family friendly

Thank you for making this series super easy and accessible for my watching pleasure. Me and my oldest brother watched the movies, but I could never really get into it because of the horrendous CGI usage within the series. This has streamlined the whole show into such a watchable thing.
