Aphex Twin #3 "Rhubarb" | Live Cover w/ Guitar + Tascam 414

Like a lot of fans, Aphex Twin's #3 (aka "Rhubarb") affected me deeply as a listener (and still does). I really wanted to learn how to play this song in order to figure out the inner-workings. Why does it move me? After figuring out how to play it, I don’t have any new wisdom to impart that others haven’t covered already. However, for me, it’s really confirmed that songs don't have to be complex or technically difficult for it to be a great piece of music. The strength lies in its simplicity, the introduction and peeling away of layers, repetition, use of space, and its agonizing harmony.
This video was done in one take (no overdubs) on July 9, 2024, with an electric guitar, pedals, and a Tascam 414 to add drones and textures. Looping was done with the Boomerang III Phrase Sampler.
