This was a wonderful episode. The writing once again does't let me down. I liked how this probably took place before A Better View For Gordon and it was really sweet seeing Elsie helping Thomas cope with letting Percy leave to work on another branch line. I feel visual wise this is the best episode you've produced. The layout of the different scenes is varied in pace and it looks great, there are some lovely looking shots here and there and the pacing feels like a mix between the classic era and the Arc era. It is a rarity we see an engine that has been working on a branch line for so long move to another branch line when you're so used to it and you've done this story perfectly.
Another great episode mate. Me, my friend and my friends little brother all enjoy this series thoroughly and we just wanted you to know. Sadly my friend has been diagnosed with liver cancer and he only has a shot time to live :( but we thank you for your awesome content. Oh god I'm crying now :(
This episode was very well written. Like the idea of Percy moving to a new part of the island to work. I also loved the music when Percy was a runaway. Well done!
A fine instalment. What's not to like? This had emotion and meaningful character development. Certainly a bold move to have Percy leave for the Kirk Ronan Branch but at the same time engines before him have needed to make changes too. In a way Percy was going through exactly what Toby was going through back in East Anglia.
Such a brave move to remove Percy from his usual workings to a new job, But the moral of the story worked well, I can't wait to see how your stories will work now.
Sad story but I am glad that you stuck to it and kept it so Percy went to a different position and not have him stay in the end as that would of been a cop out. This also opens up new stories in future :)
This kind of reminds me of some episodes of Pokémon where Ash had to let one of his Pokémon go or when after his journey from another region comes to an end, he and his friends go their separate ways.
And I'm finally caught up! I've really enjoyed binge-watching your series for the past couple days, and I'm looking forward to more in the future! :) Well done!
Nooooo....!!! Curse you Stanely! Aww, I'm sad that Percy's gone from the Ffarquhar branch line, but time moves on, wouldn't be the first engine to leave the branch. I love the montage of Percy traveling the mainline, great directoring and music choice. By the, when was James transferred to the branch line? Doesn't seem like his kind of place.
I was pretty surprised by this episode, especially at how Percy will no longer be working on the Ffarquar branch line. But still, I'm pretty impressed with the story. As Harold and Rusty once said in the episode Trucks!, "Cheers, and keep up the good work!"
now this is an episode i can really relate to; i've had to part ways with many people that i was close with, and coping with that hasn't always been easy. although i would love to know at some point how exactly james came to work on the kirk ronan after years of working on the main line
This episode was very well thought out but.. alittle too thought out (if that makes any sense)? This episode easily could have been a two-parter. The A plot with Percy wanting to be relevant on the branch line again was great but I felt like it should have been its own episode. The B plot with Thomas being sad about Percy felt so tacked on and rushed if I'm being honest. It could 've served as a perfect second part. Besides that gripe, I really did enjoy this installment of NWR Tales. Looking forward to the next one!
In the episode special attraction he pushed all the trucks in bullstrode sunk him and got no trouble for it I thought it be another story of that when he pushed then in sea.
A very nice episode with a great real life lesson. My only gripe, which isn't your fault, would be that at certain parts of the video, the track that Percy is traveling on disappears out of thin air. Again, I know that isn't your fault just a technical issue that I thought needed to be pointed out. Can't wait to see what else you have in store for the Kirk Branch.
This was quite an interesting episode. I could feel a bit of 'The Great Discovery' here. Percy feels like Stanley has replaced him in his duties and he tries to be useful and busy by playing a trick and delivering a train to Kirkronan. The end of the story looked interesting and I wondered how the next episode will follow on from this one. What music did you use for the runaway scene?
That was a very well done episode. Very nicely edited. The only problem I have, as with many of your episodes is that I had a bit of trouble hearing your narration over the loud music.
I gotta say this is a really good episode! To see Percy move on from his old position was a tough choice he made! I'm glad to see this development in his character! Though I am curious, where did you come up with the idea for James, Percy, and Emily to work on the Kirk Ronan Branch? Great job once again!
It was just a thought in my head after using Stanley a lot with goods train in past episode and I was also inspired from the idea of Daisy moving to the Harwick line. Plus I think for James and Emily that maybe they need some screen time too in future when it comes to Kirk Ronan
+NWR1991 Ah, I figured you got content like that from SLOTLT, it would be nice to see in the future! Your really do wonders with these stories, I like how there just simple stories of the engines being themselves, and I really like how your present the morals too! I was also curious, would Murdoch, Salty, or Harvey appear in your series someday?
+Khaden Williams Ah well sometimes when videos are first uploaded. It takes a while for youtube to process them properly so higher settings may not be available initially :)
Jakob Norman That’s fine but the reason I did it is to give room for Stanley’s purpose and considering he’s regarded as a strong engine I see him being a bit better than Percy in that field.

I'm very sorry to hear that, thank you for the compliment :)
This episode was very well written. Like the idea of Percy moving to a new part of the island to work. I also loved the music when Percy was a runaway. Well done!
This is very good. The moral is the best part; because it'll happen to people in real life; a lot.

this episode is very relatable for me having to cope with being separated from my classmates
yeah i know how it feels
Not for me I hate my class
OMG IT HAPPENED TO ME TOO
This kind of reminds me of some episodes of Pokémon where Ash had to let one of his Pokémon go or when after his journey from another region comes to an end, he and his friends go their separate ways.
+Nickolas Montagnino this might be based off of those episodes
Nickolas Montagnino I agree, especially as Pokémon song was used at the start of the episode
Stunning. Really pulled at the heart strings
And I'm finally caught up! I've really enjoyed binge-watching your series for the past couple days, and I'm looking forward to more in the future! :) Well done!
8:29 What's the music from? I can see it being from Pokémon, but what's the name of the soundtrack?
Pokémon 4ever OST Friendship Theme i think.
Amazing camera work in this episode. Very well done
It's a shame that Percy has to leave Thomas, Toby, Mavis, Stanley, and Daisy on Thomas' Branchline. But, great episode by the way! :)
Simply magnificent I loved the camera angles it must've been hard!
AnYour sories keep getting better and better. Keep up the great work.
Excellent quote at the end

Excellent Usage of Shinji Miyazaki’s score!

Awesome video! This was a very beautiful episode. I can't wait for your next video :)

I was thinking this as a two parter, although I thought that plot B was a bit short and I don't want to drag on more and more :P
+FizzledFirebox Agreed; I, too, felt it should've been a two-parter, but it was still a good episode. :)
BRAVO!!! BRAVO!!!!! :)
What are the names of the music pieces at 0:20 to 1:22 and at 2:34 to 5:31?
This if my favorite episode.
Since you know Flying Scotsman has returned maybe the next story Gordon gets to see his brother again by the name of the story hallo scot
The music at the beginning is the best
When I saw this. I thought it couldn’t be true. Also love how you always used pokémon music
In the episode special attraction he pushed all the trucks in bullstrode sunk him and got no trouble for it I thought it be another story of that when he pushed then in sea.
a truer word was never spoken

+5ti01qs - It's not a technical issue, that's how it is in int.cam, which is used for the panning and moving shots in Trainz.
I loved this episode.
Have you ever thought of having a wiki of NWR Tales?
No

The narration sounds fine to me but it must be the volume of my voice :P
+NWR1991 That's alright, your voice is fine, it's just the music and a few sound effects that I think should be turned down a bit.
I gotta say this is a really good episode! To see Percy move on from his old position was a tough choice he made! I'm glad to see this development in his character! +MikeD57s depends if there are current models of them, I know that there's a Salty model from Hilltracktrainz
Was the music used when Percy was a runaway from Pokémon by any chance?
+PikachuBlaster yes
1 year tomorrow, wow times really does fly
i like the new version
Was there no better quality than 360? ;/
+Khaden Williams Yes, I'm on 720HD
Yeah, I restored the page and there are better qualities now. don't know why it was max 360 before.
+Khaden Williams Ah well sometimes when videos are first uploaded. It takes a while for youtube to process them properly so higher settings may not be available initially :)
This is so sad.
Did anyone find this a bit emotional
So sad
2:34 #my favourite
Music from Pokémon.
Ok that is definitely galaxy railways music im sure of it the good season one stuff
the emo train fan Once again It’s from Pokemon. Look at the composers name in the credits before claiming something.
SudanAfro lmao
I don’t approve of this
Jakob Norman That’s fine but the reason I did it is to give room for Stanley’s purpose and considering he’s regarded as a strong engine I see him being a bit better than Percy in that field.
