this is true...ive used a few bonneville parts on my "09 Speedmaster. So far no issues. But in USA, you can still get older America/Speedmaster parts no issue.
@@WinterMotors its easy. I have tried the 18 tooth front sprocket and the 19 tooth front sprocket. just change it. its easy and only takes about 30 minutes. it really made my ride from Alabama to Mexico that much better on the 18 tooth
I know your pain about custom parts for the america but you got the LT with some nice upgrades over the standard model. I can recommend Hagon shocks if you do decide to change the rear suspension. You going to do anything with the seat?
I don't mind the suspension on the Triumph, but I want new rear suspension on my road king xD Yeah I am looking for a solo seat for it, but all I find (That I like) is low profile for over 200€
@@WinterMotors I'm sure Hagon build for the roadking and can recommend as they will build for your weight for best ride. As for the seat, i'm considering a universal seat as the choice and price is a lot better than something specifically designed for the america/speedmaster. Finally, you going to spray the mirrors black, to match what you did with the rear indicators or replace entirely?
@@juddphilby9015 thanks ! I will look in to that :D Yeah maybe? In that case I'd like to test one before I buy one so I know it fits, or buy of a company that has a easy return policy, if you know of something, I'd appreciate your recommendation :) Yeah I am thinking to replace them all in all, just haven't got much money now thanks to covid -_-
Love what you've done with it. Cannot believe you have not done something to the console. I hate it when the sun hits it. Fast Eddy Sports is a great source for parts here in the states. Triumph Twin Power in the UK is a great source for performance.
Thank you man ! I kinda like that the console is still shiny and original, it's like a tropical island in a rusty sea xD But I might change it up, this bike is forever changing haha Yeah there are lots places in the UK for parts, but getting it over here has become a pain in the bum after Brexit
Thanks man ! It's a great bike ! You won't regret it ! My only complaint is that I quickly needed more power, but that's just me :) I am just short of 1.90m
I am doing something awful to my America. Painting it white and blacking out all the chrome/polished aluminum pieces. Also adding club style t-bars and fairing and a speedmaster front and rear fender.
Dis moi pour le freinage avant t'as trouvé un disque de remplacement, il parait que sa freine pas du tout cet engin. Je comptais en acheter une de 2012 mais s'il n'y a pas de freins "j'hésite ", help!!!!
I'm currently in the market and had my eyes on a 2011 for sale. My only hesitation was the chain drive, because I'm not into maintenance. But when you said that parts are hard to get, that's turning me off of the America.
Luckily things like a chain is easy to get, and chains are not as much maintenance as you think. It's hard to get parts like a new fender, or a tank and so on, the parts that a custom bike builder would like, so you end up making things fit instead, that is also fun, but take a sportster for example, you have a overwhelming amount of aftermarket parts for those
Wow 1 year already? Time flys when you got good channel’s to watch. Congrats brother the bike is coming along nicely. I keep spamming your channel on Shadetree Surgeons channel. Doing my part to get you to 1k subs. 👍🍺🙏
I am so proud of this monster I created!! what do you think?
Good video, if you need to change your bushings the Thundercat bushings fit just fine. 👍
I usually use regular Bonneville parts on my America. They all fit and are easier to find!
That's good to know :) cheers :)
I used to steal parts when my Mrs had her Bonnie 2016 and they fitted my 2005 speedie

I run a 19/42 sprocket combo and love it. You can ride it like a 4 speed with overdrive.
Yeah exactly, I might do that in the future :)
I love mine, but you're right it needs another gear 😆
glad i am not alone with that opinion haha

This bike looks amazing now... love the custom jib you have done...🤘🔥🤘
Thanks mate :D
Let's see how far I can take it for the 2 year update haha
Love that you’ve knocked all of the old man chrome off! Looks cool.
Yeah cheers ! :D I am not able to keep chrome shine since I ride all the time
Love the chrome on mine 2007😂
I had the option to buy a slightly used America for $3500 and now I regret passing it up! Awesome video as always 🤙
Yeh man, that's a good price for a solid bike.. maybe a nother one comes on the market, mate :D
Man, I love your bike! You do you! GREETINGS from TEXAS!!
Thanks man! She looks quite different already, stay tuned for the next update :D
Wild! Like something from movie Mad Max 👍.
That's a huge compliment, man ! Thanks :D
looks nice sean, what about bar end mirrors, downwards?
That is something I considered, but I have these bar end indicators that I really like :/
Mate what pipes have you put on it? I still have stock and they sound awful
I don't know what they are
They were on when I bought the bike, and I was told it was original

Sounds cool man, not awful at all! I suggest sanding down the chrome before you paint it if you don't want it to be flaky like mine
I got Triumph Speedmaster -07. Just perfect "moped" in Finland when riding anything under 100 km/h on the backroads.
Finalnd is so fuckibg expensive for buying motorcycles due to stupid autovero tax
