this is something i haven't talked to anyone about, but the moment where ace talks to garp on the execution stand and we get the flashback where he asks garp if ace deserves to live made me more emotional than anything anime in general. idk it just resonated with me in a way that made me feel a connection to ace I've not had before.. don't get me wrong before also I wanted ace to be saved but because he was luffy's brother not because I was attached to him directly. RIP
