It was no foreshadowing. One piece was supposed to right there after the skypiea arc, Oda just used his old material to add to new and to connect the dots...which doesn't take anything away from him. He's a genius, but please stop the dickriding.

I still have Luffy beating Lucci (in the old animation style) as one of my top, if not THE top, due to how much it meant to Robin and how Usopp buried his anger to revive Luffy from almost dying in the same fight by yelling at him. That was one of the best arcs in the series - even Luffy revealing gear 2nd against Blueno was incredible (Rifle Spear Missile combo was HYPE). I miss the old animation style so much, even though the "art" wasn't as detailed and shiny or whatever, the actual combat just felt so much more dynamic and more felt at stake during those arcs (more damage was visible on the characters too). Although Luffy and Sanji's "fight" was also incredible. Sanji calling Pudding beautiful was also amazing. So many incredible moments in this series man.
Luffy awakening the true potential of the Hito-Hito No Mi: Model Nika and unleashing Gear 5 for the first time and beginning the final round of the fight against Kaido via his new power and Loony Tunes esque shenanigans was awesome and hilarious.
Being “left speechless” in reference to One Piece has an entirely different meaning… I am a 30yr old U.S. Navy vet, and I have experienced every single human emotion, and to the deepest of levels, whilst watching this absolute masterpiece of a saga.
You def forgot some moments like Odens execution or WB vs Roger..but the Most important one: "he laughed"! Referring to Roger in front of the One Piece at Laugh Tale
I mean, the fact that you can make a case for at least 5 scenes(including G5 reveal) that are less epic than 'Nothing happened here' and 'The Celestial Dragon punch' shows how underrated those moments are. Easily top 5 moments in the entire series.
Watching Gear 5 Luffy using Toon Force on Kaido Is definitely and totally one of THE Purest Unadulterated Extreme and Awesomeness! We're witnessing History right here!
You should’ve waited for the moment Luffy catches lightning with his bare hands and throws it on Kaido. In that scene,it can be theorised that Luffy was using Pokémon logic. Kaido is basically a Gyarados,which is a water and flying type,hence it is 4 times weak to lightning.
@@Compucles first,I was a bit stoned when I commented this. Second,no. Kaido's devil fruit is Mythical Zoan, Fish Fish fruit,model : Koi. Koi fish myth is the same thing that inspired both Gyarados and Kaido. Search Koi fish myth for more context. Kaido is a true Gyarados.
IMO Luffy smashing the celestial dragon was tops for me. The most satisfying punch in the entire series to date. However one that was not mentioned was more of an entire episode rather than a single moment and that was the goodby episode of the Going Merry. I really get choked up by the episode every time I watch it. It has to be one of the most emotional episodes in ALL of anime.

The most epic moment One Piece could ever have would be at the end Once The Strawhats finally get the One Piece and Luffy becomes the Pirate King, there’s only one line that could end the series perfectly Luffy says his signature catchphrase with a twist “My name is Monkey D. Luffy, and I’m the man who became King of the pirates”
Another epic moment is the fight against Rob Lucci. It may not seem special in any way, but the fight is so well structured that Luffy keeps getting beaten up by Rob Lucci but when he manages to use the Jet Gatling Gun, it feels so damn epic!
For me, my special most epic Moment in One Piece, was the "Luffy Punches a Celestial Dragon". That was the moment when i realized, luffy wont give a f***, whoever is in his way.
I dunno where it should be ranked but Luffy's re-emergence at Saboady after his training with Rayleigh and one punched a Pacifista should be in the top 20 epic moments.

As I am busy watching this video I must say you have picked great moments so far my only issue would be placing the ringing of the golden bell in Skypea higher than Sanji vs Queen and the minks loyalty towards the samurais is a bit of an odd choice. Not only because of the awesomeness of those moments but also the build up to those moments, emotional impact and aftermath are much more important to the story as a whole. Sanji reaching never before seen heights, awakening his dormant potential, having to come to terms with what that means and beating someone that represents a lot of the same horrible things as his crappy father. That along with the fact that he is a main character in the show and these new awakened abilities will come in handy in all the hard battles that awaits him in the final saga. The mink tribe moment is also much bigger than the ringing of the golden bell because the straw hats build up against the beast pirates at this point have been building up for at least two arcs. So seeing again how evil they are and then in contras how loyal and good the mink tribe is, is much more impressive. That along with the pay of for this moment when they get their revenge on Jack in the raid on Onigashima makes it a lot more important and impressive. Don't get me wrong the ringing of the bell moment is awesome but each arc has at least one moment equally as awesome where as the number 20 and 19 moment are ones people will be speaking of for years and most likely even when One Piece story wraps up someday. These type of moments will still be spoken of in great detail because of what they mean for the story and the characters. Also because of how awesome they where and still are. Where as the ringing of the golden bell most likely will not be spoken of in as much detail. Or really more than a few sentences along the line of it was an awesome moment and a great way for Luffy to ensure that the old man now knows his ancestor wasn't lying to anybody.
Oda is just a genius . These kind of power up in not so battle centric series was just doomed to fail as one piece heavily rely on story ( op is not battle centric because most of its epic moment are not battles )

No, Kaido only resembles a Gyarados in appearance, but he's a true Dragon type, probably Dragon/Fire, and Dragon types resist Electric type attacks.

These kind of power up in not so battle centric series was just doomed to fail as one piece heavily rely on story ( op is not battle centric because most of its epic moment are not battles )
