A DANCER has told of how a routine gynaecologist appointment led to the discovery that she has two complete reproductive systems. As a teenager, Paige, now 20, suffered from irregular periods - but didn't think much of it for years. That was until, aged 18, she went for a checkup, and was immediately referred for an MRI scan, which revealed that she has two vaginas, two uteruses, and two cervixes, separated by a thin piece of tissue called a septum. Initially, medics thought she had uterine didelphys, but it has recently been confirmed that she has a similar, much rarer condition called complete septate uterus. "Doctors hadn't seen a patient like me in 10 years," she said.
Last year, Paige decided to speak out about her condition on TikTok, in a bid to raise awareness. And now, while the complications her condition may present in the future remain unclear - especially when it comes to having children - she is determined to not be held back and has even found love with boyfriend Hugh. She said: "We shouldn't feel like we have to hide our bodies. It's our bodies. We were born with them. Let's talk about it."

I got diagnosed with two cervixes and two uterus after I gave birth with first baby. My water broke prematurely with all 4 of my kids which were all about 2-3 months early. Fortunately there all healthy but as long as your closely monitored while pregnant anything’s possible! 💕 I wanted to point out as well my second pregnancy I ended up with fraternal twins but they were both squished on one uterus instead of one on both. They came out the earliest out of all siblings but they were healthy and now thriving 1 year olds. Woman’s bodies can do amazing things 🙌🏻

I also had a bi-corniute uterus, I didn’t find out until I was 3 months pregnant with my son after having an ultrasound and then technician asked me if I had a bi-corniute uterus and I had no idea what she was talking about? My gynaecologist/obstetrician explained things to me in his office and I was told the risks of pre-mature labour, long story short, I did well, then I spent the final 6 weeks in the hospital to be on the safe side, they did a cesarean when I was 38 weeks because my baby was cross-ways and they were not even going to try to turn him because there was not enough data to know if it was even possible for my cervix to dilate to 10 cm seeing it was split in half, so my son was delivered by cesarean and he was 8lbs 4ozs💙.. I got pregnant again and had my daughter at 38 weeks by cesarean section and she was a whopping 9lbs 5ozs💖.. I had 8 ultrasounds each with both my pregnancies to make sure my babies were developing properly♥️..
I didn’t mention that I had a stillborn before both children, he died inuterus at 24 weeks, I didn’t realize he was gone, just that I was not feeling any kicks so they checked me out then did an ultrasound and I ended being induced and finally delivered him the following day, he was only about 1 lb😔.. My bi-cornuite uterus had nothing to do with him passing away.. I eventually had a hysterectomy because I was bleeding or spotting continuously and my ob/gyn said if I was not planning on having more children then it was for the best, I was 40 years old.. My children are now 31 and 32 years old, I am blessed♥️🙏🏼♥️..

    1. Do they only work in conjunction?
    2. Is there a septum?

    5. Is there a longer menstrual cycle with more eggs being released?

    • @rustynails8756

As I have this condition hope this helps.
      1. The two uterus don't necessarily work in conjunction
      2. The doctor mentioned the septum. In my case there is a a septum between the vaginas.
      3. Is she a twin? I don't know but this condition is caused by a glitch during development in womb. We all actually start with 2 wombs and during development the two become one one but occasionally it doesn't happen
      4. She probably is synced with herself
      5. Menstrual cycles can be different for everyone. In my case I did tend to have heavier periods ever other month and my cycles were a bit irregular but were still of average length. Hope that helps

My lovely cousin was born with the same conditions. Unfortunately her long term partner broke up with her for that ( I still don't know why?) Apparently due to the fact that she can't have children (while it's possible but harder than a woman without the condition).
It ruined her self confidence and self worth and made her afraid of relationships.
This happened when she was 26. Now, 5 years later, she is starting to accept herself.
I pray every woman affected finds a great doctor and have a supportive family, and partner ❤️

I had a Bicornuate Uterus a full heart shape. I elected not to get the surgery because they didn't know a lot about it 30 years ago. They said it would be a 50% chance either way. I have one child delivered at 7 months but was mostly bed resting and had to take brethine every 4 hours. I'd say try before you get the surgery you're still young.

Some of thee comments on here are so disgusting and immature. Also, it clearly shows how little people know about women's reproductive systems and how much we would benefit from better sex education.

There is always hope, I hope you can become a mother if you wish to❤️
My sister lost both Fallopian tubes due to 2 pregnancies where the baby wasn't growing on the womb but on her Fallopian tubes.
She was told that she could only have a baby by ivf. She and her husband decided to wait for a year in hopes they could still conceive naturally.
3 months later she got successfully pregnant with twins.
These things are really a wonder, don't stop hoping ❤️
