  • The front brakes got hot and locked up on my 1997 Ford OBS F350 crewcab pickup truck. In this video I show the condition of the parts and remove the old parts and get ready to put on the new parts.

What a nice looking truck. Dang, good catch on the brakes. You have some work ahead of you.

Thanks, I like the older body styles. I think I came very close to a brake fire when the brakes seized while towing my 5th wheel.

Oddly enough I'm just wrapping up editing a brake job on my obs F350 😂 I was more fun though, I had the joy of drum brakes and rusted lines...

I imagine when dealing with the rust, you need different kind of tools and methods to get the job done.

    Is this the 4x4?

It's just a rear wheel drive. I pull a fifth wheel Travel trailer with it. I have a 3/4-ton chevy 4x4 I use when I need 4-wheel drive truck.

@@mikesworld60 do you know if the break set up with the 4x4 is any different?

@@cybergorilla4445 not sure, if your want to know if the parts are the same, I would look up the part numbers for 2wd and 4wd and see if the pads and rotors are the same. The hubs are the obvious parts that would not be the same and of course the procedure taking it a part would be different.
