Kerry, you were the first RUclipsr I watched when looking into the carnivore diet. This was back the week of thanksgiving. I've managed to keep on without falling off of this way of eating since. It sounds nutty, on first glance, going against EVERYTHING every doctor, food person, etc. has said how you should eat. But dang if it's not working. It's not so much the speed of the results that I'm seeing, but the quality of the results. I don't crave sugar. I don't crave carbs. I don't binge. There's a fresh loaf of bread baking in my house right now, and while it smells good, I don't want to eat any of it. I used to LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE bread. Keep up the great work.

Been doing carnivore since Jan 1 and there has been a 50% to 60% reduction in pain in my knees and achilles tendon. I felt it better right away but took a week to get to that point 50% reduction in inflammation

For those in a budget, you can get excellent nutrition for around 100 bucks a month per person.
80/20 ground beef is the way to go, and in my country I can find it for around 2 dollars per pound, which is usually what I eat in a day.
The fattier the ground beef is, the lower the price. Toss in another dollar or so for 2 or 3 scrambled eggs with a nub of butter for breakfast and there you go.
Of course, life is more than that, and I love the more expensive cuts of meat too, just saying it's possible ( over here, that is)

      @@FrostyDuc
That's great, but unless my math is wrong, you must be eating very little meat eggs per day compared to me, actually 4 times less meat and eggs (which is fine if you're happy with it).
Assuming your ribroast is 10lbs (the ones I've seen normally are 7-9lbs), this would total 15lbs meat (ribs+ground beef) in 2 months, which is 1/4 lb of meat per day,
4 times less than what I've mentioned.
Again, dont get me wrong, no problem with that as long as it suits your needs.
My calculations in my initial post were based assuming 1lb of meat and 3-4 eggs + 1 oz butter every single day of the month, so in the 2 month period you mentioned this would amount to 60 lbs of meat, 200 eggs and 4lbs of butter.
Im talking 80/20 ground beef here, which is normally the cheapest type of meat I can get in my neck of the woods. Of course, if I start eating the more prime cuts of meat, ribeye, picanha etc, this would push me way outside the USD 100 / month mark.
Actually 1lb of meat per day per person is the bare minimum for a carnivore diet. In fact I was supposed to be eating at least 50% more than that for a person of my size (200lbs), but it seems to be working so far in keeping me satiated. Normally I eat 3-4 scrambled eggs for breakfast, skip lunch and eat 1lb of ground beef after work, around 5pm, and that's it.
10 min to cook, 10 min to eat, 5 min to clean. Grocery shopping including round trip takes 30 min for the whole month, so avg 1 minute per day. A very minimalist way of life.😁

We're going to watch this tonight, but KERRY - I HAVE TO TELL YOU - I just got back from the eye doctor's office. My eyes felt like I needed a new prescription - I was seeing better without my glasses! At least with my right eye. So, today, I had it confirmed. My right eye has gotten 5 increments better and my left eye 2! The eye dr here is older and REALLY KNOWS HIS STUFF - he's a remarkable find in a small town - known well in Austin as being the best and most interested in weird eye issues. I told him I feel like my right eye sees better w/o glasses. He checked and was a bit shocked that my right eye is on the way (age related) to a cataract, but my vision has improved sooo much - those two don't go together. And nobody's eyes get THAT much better! He said he had to walk out with my prescription as the front desk probably wouldn't believe him. We all were realizing it HAD to be CARNIVORE DIET! I've heard this from many others on the RUclips channels, but never dreamed it would happen to me! Holy smokes! I'm so excited to tell you, and Dr. Berry about it! He said my far vision prescription is now my reading prescription! At least in my right eye. It changed THAT much!!!! I'M OVER THE MOON EXCITED - plus, you know I hand out cards with all your names on it, so people will watch you and the whole office was interested. I really hope they all will be Carnivores because of this!!! ♥♥♥

I want to be building these small rural communities on 40-80 acres, and source our own animals. I have about 80 chickens for eggs, and want to have enough people that we could share the large animals that we all raise as a community. Feeding the chickens pumpkins and squash during the winter, rotating grazing areas for them all, raising crickets, red worms and Black Soldier Fly larvae for the chickens and fish.

Please please please look into this phenomenon. In Aussie we use a hot plate more than open flamed grilled. If you do it occasionally, probs no big deal, BUT IF YOU COOK OVER AN OPEN FLAME ALL THE TIME ????? Let us know your thoughts pls

That’s a total myth my Kiwi friend from New ZEALAND.
Any Paleo Anthropologist will gladly confirm that Humans have been cooking and eating roasted meat over an open flame/fire for over a million years.
Also, humans have been super carnivores (eating 99-95% meat) for hundreds of thousands- and well over a million years- as a species (Homo Sapien Sapien) and fatty red meat was their main food source.
If eating fatty red meat grilled over an open fire/flame caused cancer, then we humans would be EXTINCT as a species on this Earth.
This brain washing by the Mainstream Media, Big Food and Big Oharma and the militant Plant Based powers that be are very good at using weak epidemic research (which uses food surveys/questionnaires to track what people ate over a period of a year, how silly is that!!) to try and show some sort of association (NOT CAUSATION!!) between red meat consumption, grilled or not grilled, and cancer.
Only RCT’s (Randomly Controlled Trials) can scientifically show or prove CAUSATION. Epidemic studies merely can show ASSOCIATION, which is nothing.
Keep on grilling those steaks and shrimps on the Barbie and fear not about cancer!!😊😊
PS. Please watch Dr Ken Berry’s many videos about “Eating Red Meat Causes Cancer”, or his other videos about Fatty Red Meat.

    • @Papacarnivore15
      @Papacarnivore15 4 месяца назад

Also, I challenge you or the person or Doctor who told you that grilled/seared meat causes cancer to show you the Randomly Controlled Trial/Study that definitively and scientifically proves this…
and then watch them squirm and backtrack.
You know why?? Because there is ZERO scientific proof that eating meat (red or other kinds of animal protein), whether grilled over an open flam, seared on a pan, boiled or steamed… causes cancer.
      This is utter rubbish.😊😊

I slow cook a big cut of beef ribs OR ox-tail in the crock pot with water and salt. Once these have cooked until tender I remove and leave the liquid in the pot.
I brown 2Kg of ground beef (Mince in the UK) using tallow and butter - once browned I add the ground beef to the crock-pot liquid and set to low heat for an hour or two.
I'm then left with ultra fatty tender ribs/tail with all the fat, minerals, collagen from the bones AND the flavourful mince from the crock pot - which is also ultra tender.
    Delicious & very nutritious.
The mince is often added to eggs to make a power-bowl (I call it a 'beef scramble')
My only comment is that this meat is ultra-cooked. There also needs to be a balance with some rarer cooked cuts - too much ultra cooked beef does less for me so I mix it up with some rare steaks as much as I can.

Have eaten bacon intermitently as I need to take DAO enzymes to eat it because of histamine issues. I haven't lost any way and have had crazy oxalate dumping for the whole 6 months. Am trying bacon free for a while to see if I can get some movement in my carnivore results. Would be great if you can let me know about what bacon you use.

The best way was to get pork belly from Costco and smoke it myself. Else I got the lowest cleanest bacon I could find I think it was zero carb but still had a tiny bit of sugar in the cure

Eggs eggs eggs... if i could i would keep chickens in my yard and eat the eebee diet! Eggs and butter.
As it is i eat eggs butter beef + lamb...
Boiled eggs are the perfect travel snack hiking food.
    They dont need a container.
They come in their own packing.
Just put half a dozen in your pockets.
Missing crunch? Eat one whole - shell and all!
In the absence of backyard chickens of my own, I buy organic low density pasture raised eggs because - it makes a difference to me & more importantly to the chickens...
Carnivore seems expensive at first, but when you cut out everything else that you used to buy, and factor in the value of better health, an easier life, way less stress - it's a bloody bargain!
Add to which - supporting regenerative farming - the absolute best thing we can do to help the environment. The ecological footprint of plant-based foods and drinks, when you include the eco-footprint of the health industries, is stamping out life on earth faster than she can replenish.
Chickens and cows like woodland mixed with meadow...
Cows and chickens also prefer a healthy happy longer life...
We have to do more to put our food supply back in our own hands.
We can't leave it to Costco.
We can start there but we can't stay there...
    Thankyou Kerry.

I haven't gone full carnivore yet, but have already seen many benefits. I'm off all my diabetic meds except for Metformin and have dropped from 245 down to 228. My A1C has improved down to 6.7, which prior to the diet change was 10. I thought eating so much meat instead of the traditional amercian diet would increase my cholesterol levels but the numbers have actually dropped, including my triglycerides. The fat stored in my liver has reduced (I'm in a liver study due to having been diagnosed with NASH non-alcoholic fatty liver). I'm down to 4.6% fat which is down from the 11.5% I was at before. So am happy with all the changes. The only veggies I've held onto so far as spinach and broccoli. The spinach I've held onto because of chronic low potassium. I've been slowly cutting back on the veggies and most of my meals are meats. Bacon and eggs, and flat iron steaks are favorite meals!

Hey Carni’s…. Best way to add fat IMHO - Make your own bone broth (which y’all should be doing anyways) and don’t drain the fat that rises to the top. Warm it up in the microwave, mix it all in and sip 😎

I've been doing this for around a week or so. My favorite like you is Ribeye. Today, I've had about 4k calories. How? 5: hamburger patties, 3 eggs, 4 slices of cheese, a dab of milk. I used to be able to eat a bunch of sweets.. 🤣
But, I came to the conclusion of fixing my diet. We'll see how it goes. I'm not a fruit or vegetable person...

I start carnivore, I end up going back to CICO way of eating and I always feel hungry and not nourished. I see the people in the anabolic cookbook community talking about variety. Some of them eat sub 2k calories and talking like they have the best diet. When I eat 2k calories, not carnivore but just weighing out and counting, I always feel so hungry. I know it's the carb addiction for why I flip flop.

"Buy what you can afford..." Dr. Berry says this in several videos. We did. Just read the labels and stay away from anything with "Added Sugar." Ground beef. Eggs. All beef hotdogs. Chuck Roast on sale (crock pot all day! :) You'll be surprised how much you save by NOT BUYING chips, pretzels, snacks, alcohol, crackers, peanut butter, jelly, BREAD, rice, etc.!!! IF you stick to it, I predict you'll see benefits within 10 days. Stay with it for 30 days - you be pleasantly surprised. Continue for 90 days - you'll be AMAZED! Enjoy! :)

Problem w olive oil is that they mix it with seed oils and are still allowed to call it olive oil. Basically there is a big risk you will consume bad oils when using olive oil. I completely switched to beef tallow mixed with butter. Love it
