Wonderful! Just wonderful. Thanks also for clarifying the radical preterist vs partial preterist a-millennial views. These distinctions are important to discuss for anyone studying these things. Thank you so much!!!
Praise God Amen. I cannot thank you enough Lord for Bruce Gore. The way you join the dots through him. Amazing!. Thank you Lord for your living word and keeps transforming me. I love you Lord. Continue to grant Bruce Gore his heart desires according to your will and in Christ's name.
Awesome Pastor Bruce, amazing presentation!, the best teacher on the topic and this is the clearest explanation I've heard about the Millennial reign. Thank you very much for exposing the the Heretical claims of Full Preterism. I am truly convinced that the traditional view of Post/Amillenial view is the True and absolutely correct Biblical View. God Bless you always sir Gore!😊
When I decided to take a close look at eschatology, I found myself a Preterist and after careful consideration, I became a full Preterist. Why? For two basic reasons: 1. Time stamps (clear time indicators in a verse/s) and 2. Audience relevance (who is the writer/speaker addressing) Here are some examples (note all caps for the time stamps and audience relevance): Here we have Jesus speaking to his immediate audience about the "days of vengeance" to "FULFILL ALL THAT IS WRITTEN" in their life time: "But when YOU see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, YOU will know that her desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country stay out of the city. For THESE ARE THE DAYS of vengeance, TO FULFILL ALL THAT IS WRITTEN." Luke 21:20-22 A little further down, He reaffirms that all this would happen in their generation: "Truly I tell YOU, THIS GENERATION will not pass away until ALL THESE THINGS HAVE HAPPENED. Luke 21:32 "ALL THAT WAS WRITTEN" was to be fulfilled in the generation of those he was speaking to. He was speaking of the invasion of the Romans and the eventual destruction of the city and the temple in A.D. 70. He also made this statement regarding His soon return: "For the Son of Man IS ABOUT TO COME in His Father's GLORY WITH HIS ANGELS, and then He will repay each one according to what he has done. Truly I tell you, some WHO ARE STANDING HERE will not taste death UNTIL THEY SEE the Son of Man COMING IN HIS KINGDOM." Matt. 16:27,28 (Young's Literal Translation correctly renders the Greek word "mello" as "about to come." And these amazing verses, again from Jesus himself: "For ALL THE PROPHETS AND THE LAW PROPHESIED "UNTIL JOHN." And if you are willing to accept it, HE IS ELIJAH who was to come.…Matt. 11:13,14 ....before the "GREAT AND TERRIBLE DAY OF THE LORD." Mal.4:5 Daniel prophesied this: “Seventy weeks are determined for your people and for your holy city, To FINISH TRANSGRESSION, To MAKE AN END OF SINS, To make reconciliation for iniquity, To bring in EVERLASTING RIGHTEOUSNESS, To "SEAL UP VISION AND PROPHECY," And to anoint the Most Holy." Daniel 9:24 This is just a very small sampling of what I mean by "time stamps" and "audience relevance." The Gospels and the letters are full of these these two pillars of interpretation. Why is this so important? The "law and the prophets" are directed to the Jewish people ONLY. To draw any of these writings out of the sphere of the people to whom it was written is a dangerous error. The majority of our churches today, including partial preterists (who are really futurists), have done this very thing. They take portions of the Torah and its prophecies and pull them into our present time and even into the future through scripture splitting and pure speculation! Jesus made it very clear when He said to his audience: (the Jews of His generation) "THESE ARE THE DAYS of vengeance, TO FULFILL ALL THAT IS WRITTEN." I repeat..."TO FULFILL ALL THAT IS WRITTEN." Here's a statement that includes a shocking quote by the famous writer C.S. Lewis commenting on Jesus words in Matt. 24:34: "C.S Lewis wrote a theological book near the end of his brilliant, literary career entitled 'The World’s Last Night: And Other Essays' (1960). In it, he alleges surprisingly, “the first Christians have been PROVED TO BE FALSE. It is clear from the New Testament that they all expected the Second Coming IN THEIR OWN LIFE TIME. And, worse still, they had a reason, and one which you will find very embarrassing. THEIR MASTER HAD TOLD THEM SO. He shared, and indeed created, their delusion! He said in so many words, ‘this generation shall not pass till all these things be done.’ Matt: 24:34 AND HE WAS WRONG. He clearly knew no more about the end of the world than anyone else” (p. 97). So, C. S. Lewis said Jesus “was wrong” about something very important-when he (Jesus) would return. C.S. Lewis knew exactly what Jesus was saying just as I and many others have come to realize. Do you agree with C.S. Lewis that Jesus was wrong?" I believe that C.S. Lewis was wrong. Do we find a future second coming or a distant third coming in the following verses? Surely, such a momentous event would be every where found in scripture! The writer to the Hebrews makes no such mention: "But NOW He has appeared ONCE FOR ALL AT THE END OF THE AGES to DO AWAY WITH SIN by the sacrifice of Himself. So Christ also, having been offered ONCE to bear the sins of many, WILL APPEAR a SECOND TIME, without sin, to those who are eagerly waiting for him FOR SALVATION." Heb. 9: 26b,28 "For yet in a VERY LITTLE WHILE, the Coming One WILL COME AND NOT DELAY.” Heb. 10.37 God bless!
He goes over those hermeneutics of those verses throughout the series. (Which is probably why he didn’t reply to your comment) In short, the last two chapters of Revelation are clearly talking about things that haven’t happened yet. There’s nothing in those chapters that would correlate with the events of 70 AD. Hope that helps.
Thank you for continuing your lectures through all the Corona Virus restrictions. God's word can not be stopped. I must come out and it will come out somehow.
Hi Bruce, thank you for your answer. I watched this video Satan's doom #56 and you explained why radical preterism is wrong. thank you ! I was so confused before, we had been watching videos put out by "The Beroean Bible Church" not realizing they were radical preterists, as we are still learning. I had been so perplexed by their teaching! It caused me a lot of distress actually, i could not find any scriptural way to accept what they were saying and lost a lot of sleep over it. I can now be at peace with 70CE not being Christs second return, but his first coming was two fold, redemptive and judgment. We can be at peace knowing the resurrection will be on "the last day" just as Martha said to Jesus regarding Lazarus. We as a family have come a long way from leaving Jehovah's Witnesses false teachings 10 years ago to discovering the churches dispensational teachings were also false to finally arriving here. As we are isolated in Australia, and it would be nice to associate with like minded truth seekers ,we know of none that teach the truth as you teach, we rely on youtube and the internet for our family Bible study material each week. We have watched many of your videos, some of Gary Demar, some of Ken Gentry some of David Chilton. Is there any more out there that we can watch as a family? Thanks to our Heavenly Father you are here to teach us truth!
Thanks for the update! You have found good resources on the web, and I don't have any better suggestions. I hope you can find a church family. Even if it isn't perfect (and none are), a church fellowship is really essential to Christian growth and stability. Keep looking and praying. I'm partial to Presbyterians, but I have no idea of the options you have available in your setting. Blessings to you and yours!
Thanks Bruce for the detailed explanation of Radical Preterism. I have seen this concept debated in the comment sections of your videos, but never understood it. Now I understand it. Many thanks for all your teachings.
And the Spirit and the bride say come Let anyone who hears, say, “Come! ” Let the one who is thirsty come. Let the one who desires take the water of life freely. 70AD until Gog its called Partial preterism not sure its called postMil Even Sturt Russell said 1000 years was a long time in history and outside of visions, and of course the beloved R.C. Sproul is on board ! 21“To the one who conquers I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22“Let anyone who has ears to hear listen to what the Spirit says to the churches.” Revelation 3 Shalom 👍🏻🙏
What I don't understand, is that when it comes to eternal torment, people go to the book Revelation and interpret it literally. Why, sir, would you interpret that passage literally but not the rest? Also, you said something about that annihilation is not orthodox Christianity. Why is it that Jesus, the prophets and all the apostles never mention hell as a place of eternal torment? If you would like to make a case that eternal torment is orthodox Christianity, why did Tyndale and Luther never teach that as far as I know, or any one in church history? Can you give any links or any passages where this is taught in orthodox Christianity from the time of the apostles? I mean who would in their right mind think that God would torture a sinner forever? No, sir, the wicked shall perish, this is what the bible is teaching, and yet have I seen more than two or three witnesses in the bible teach contrary to this. God bless.
Thanks for your comment. For standard protestant affirmations of the traditional view of Hell as eternal wrath, see Westminster Confession, ch. 35; Shorter Catechism, Q. 19; Larger Catechism, Q. 29, which reflects Calvin's instruction on the topic. Similar affirmations may be found in Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic confessions.
Fully agree with you brother. If we take this literally 'And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever' then there should still be smoke rising in the middle east as per Rev19:3 And again they shouted: "Hallelujah! The smoke from her goes up for ever and ever." Also how is a corrupt religious system and corrupt politicis tormented forever and ever? Use the clear bible passages to explain the unclear. The Second Death in the next section makes it crystal clear......Satan and the wicked will be destoyed for ever. Death is the absence of life and where there is no life there is no existence. That is what the bible teaches.
@@HuntAD-nh2bm I say anyone who can say that another’s soul is on the hinge of eternal torment while not spending every waking moment of their life spreading this message is just as guilty.
Not sure if this will help but I did have this thought. Who says we stop sinning when we’re in Hell? If we keep sinning it would make sense that it would be eternal. Just something to consider.
Thank you, brother. I love your teachings. They give me hope and a sound mind. Also I would like to mention about the four corners of the earth; the bible describes a flat earth indeed. You can go and check the Greek word for "breadth" used in Revelation 20:9. God bless.
It talks about the world as a sphere in some versions, circle in this one. Isaiah 40:22 ESV It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them like a tent to dwell in;
Thank you especially for the Ezekiel stuff at the beginning. This was the first video of yours I’ve watched and I hadn’t heard that info before. Very cool! Reminded me of Psalm 1 where the believer is like the tree so were all the trees along the bank in that part of Ezekiel a metaphor for believers?
Looks to me like Jesus returned, as he said he would, within the generation of his contemporaries. Coming to reign 1000 years after the tribulation, which was during Emperor Nero’s time, and when Rome fell. The magnificent architectural structures which reveal a level of accomplishment unmatched by humanity today, with its antiquiTech drawing free energy from the ether, we see these geometrically perfect structures all around the entire world, in my opinion, could only have been built by our King Jesus and during His millennial rule. After the 1000 years, “Satan was loosed for a short season” and set about to deceive the nations, destroying these structures, as much as possible, setting up lies to explain what couldn’t be destroyed, and making chaos on our world for a short season. This is where we are now. Soon we will see the final battle and Satan will be thrown into the lake of fire and then we’ll have the great white throne judgement and our New Jerusalem.
Thanks, @Bruce Gore for these lectures. It's going to be sad to finally finish, still need to finish the earlier material. I have got used to coming home and watching them after a hard day at work. One imagery that has really has stuck with me is being in Christ's army on a horse and the sword coming out of the mouth. Maybe I"m splitting hairs here (you don't need to comment on the following), but what's the difference between a nation and a government? a nation is a group of people bound together by a common culture, history, and tradition that usually live within a concentrated geographic region. The government refers to the group of people that currently have the authority to govern on behalf of the State (which is just a geographical area that has the monopoly over violence and has the power to tax and regulate by force). My point being, you can have a nation, it can have a government but it doesn't need a government to exist. Anyways heading off in the future, as Christs kingdom grows bigger and bigger its my personal view that I don't think governments will be around for very much longer.
Just to add to this, its going to get a lot worse before it gets a lot better, don't you love the current elitists, CCP, and the useful leftest idiots? I'm so glad that the lesson learned from the nineteenth century was not learned.
Hello Brother Bruce. Thank you very much for all your teachings on the Book of Revelation. They are clear, convicting, historical, deep - in one word : great! I would have one question, maybe you could point me in some direction. I see that the new heavens and new earth described by Isaiah and John have been inaugurated, but if I understand correctly you believe there will be final consummation of them. Do you have some teaching where you explain your view of eternal state? I'm trying to find some good teaching on this subject from partial-preterists and I can hardly find any. Thank you in advance!
Thanks for your message. I'd like to find something good on the topic you mention myself! The problem is that the Bible is pretty scant when it comes to details of the eternal state, probably with good reason, so at best we see through a glass darkly! The main thing we know is that it will be glorious beyond words, a theme repeatedly emphasized in the New Testament (e.g., 'eye hath not seen nor ear heard..., etc.) Thanks again!
LOL ....great comment! IMHO...way to political for American churchs or pastors to handle without backlash ! Dispensenionalism is part and parcel of one side of the political divide and very scary right now ! I'm Irish, no dog in this fight except pray lies and liars are revealed ! Could be the Gog and Magog alliance ! And we know who *are* the psedu religious dispensenionalists / political zealots ! They ain't looking at God's New Jerusalem spiritually, but the carnal *shadow* and being manipulated by lies ! Let's pray their eyes are opened to the Israel of God... Galatians 6:4-16 Shalom 👍🏻🙏
Thank you, once again Bruce your messages have been a blessing. What would be a major difference between the Amil and Postmil? Thanks you again for your ministry.
There are no major differences between 'post' and 'a' mil. The one point that is sometimes suggested is that the 1000 years refers to a period at the end of the Christian era rather than the entire Christian era, but that view would certainly not be held by all who call themselves 'post-mil.' Thanks for your interest!
Hi Bruce, praise God for you - your studies are enlightening. Quick inquiry, if I may - is Ezekiel's use of "Gog and Magog" prophetically referring to the same theological events in human history as described in Revelation 20? If not, how should Ezekiel's use be understood, especially in light of his "idealised temple" in the following chapters? Is there an immediate contextual fulfilment and an ultimate prophetic fulfilment for Ezekiel? I hope that makes sense. Thank you in advance, brother.
Ezekiel is predicting the defeat of the Syrians in the Maccabean war (c. 165 b.c.), just as Daniel does in Daniel 8 and 11. The terms Gog and Magog became proverbial among Jewish people for inveterate enemies of Israel, and it is the proverbial sense that is used in Revelation 20. Thanks for your kind feedback!
Thank you Bruce. I came here for eschatology and got something far more valuable. Right now I'm struggling to better understand Post-Millennialism vs Amillennialism and was always stuck up on 20:7-10 and where we fit currently in God's prophetic timeline. I was convinced of partial-preterism years ago, but could never accept the Full-Preterist view. However, when you began the part on "the climax of Satan's story" peace rushed inside me. Thank you so very much, for your offerings, your dedication, your sacrifice and your love for God's word. May you and yours be truly blessed!
Thank you for your teachings. I've been checking out the "The Apocalypse In Space & Time" videos and enjoying them a lot. Concerning Satan's doom what do you do with Paul telling the believers in Rome that *"The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet."* in Romans 16 : 20? and What do you do with John telling the believers in the first century, "But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because *he knows that his time is short.”* in Revelation 12 : 12? If Satan's doom was in the far future to John's day, then John would have been told to seal up that prophecy (like Daniel was told to do with his prophecy (Daniel 12 : 4 & 9) which was fulfilled about 600 years later which Jesus mentioned in Matthew 24 : 15). Instead we see John being told to not seal up the words of the prophecy (which includes the doom of Satan) because the time was near (Revelation 22 : 10). So the New Testament has Paul telling believers God will soon crush Satan under their feet, John telling first century believers that the devil knows his time is short, and John telling believers that the prophecy which includes Satan's doom will not be sealed because the time was near for its fulfillment. ==================================== You mentioned "the last day" points to the last day of history and you brought up how Jesus attaching significance to it (the Resurrection) and the grammatical sense of the phrase itself suggests that it's not something that happened in 70 AD. What do you do with John telling the believers in the first century they are living in "the last hour" in 1 John 2 : 18? The grammatical sense of the phrase itself should be held up to the same level as "the last day". Also, Daniel's prophecy that Jesus mentioned in Matthew 24 : 15 being fulfilled before his generation passed away *includes the Resurrection!* Daniel's prophecy is not only about the abomination of desolation. It also says : *"Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.* Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever. But you, Daniel, roll up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end." (Daniel 12 : 2 - 4) Daniel was told he will rise (the Resurrection) to receive his allotted inheritance at the end of the days / the end. “As for you, go your way till *the end.* You will rest, and then *at the end of the days* you will rise to receive your allotted inheritance.” (Daniel 12 : 13) What else was Daniel told would happen at the end? Daniel was told by an angel that the words of his prophecy would be unsealed at the time of the end. He replied, “Go your way, Daniel, because the words are rolled up and sealed until *the time of the end."* (Daniel 12 : 9) This places Daniel's resurrection at the same time when his prophecy is unsealed = at the end / at the end of the days / at the time of the end. So when Jesus tells us Daniel's prophecy about the abomination of desolation will be fulfilled before his generation passed away we know the words of the entire prophecy were unsealed before 70 AD in order for them to be fulfilled in 70 AD like Jesus prophesied. The abomination of desolation was a part of the entire prophecy. It was not a separate prophecy. This means the words of Daniel's prophecy which also includes the Resurrection were fulfilled at the end in 70 AD. This also means the end of days occurred at 70 AD so Daniel rose up and received his allotted inheritance in 70 AD. So we have "the last hour" with the weight of its grammatical sense taking place right before 70 AD and we have Daniel's prophecy with significance (the Resurrection) being unsealed and fulfilled in 70 AD (the time of the end). and since we know the time of the end / the end of days / the end occurred in 70 AD, we can conclude Daniel rose up and received his allotted inheritance in 70 AD.
I did some research on the Hebrew here at Dan 12:13. It means " end" קֵץ "day" יוֹם which is exactly what Martha said to Jesus regarding the Resurrection of Lazarus he will rise on the "last day" or "end day" . Bible translators try to make it flow so they translate it "At the end of the days" which can be confused with the time of the end being the end of the days.
Hey Bruce. Solid hermeneutics up until this chapter. Seems like more editorial comment then scriptures interpreting scripture. What exactly does the Beloved City represent( the church?) if the New Jerusalem is not introduced until chapter 21? Keep up the good work Bruce!
Bruce Gore thank you for your teachings. God used you in my wife’s and my life. It’s a long and very providentially cool story, maybe one day you will hear it. Quick question: your argument on still taking The Lord’s Supper, which I agree we are to do, seems to be based just on what people prefer or what most Christians are not prepared to do. Can you please solidify this position, the continuing of The Lord’s Supper, when you get a moment?
I believe that baptism and the Lord's Supper are mandatory for Christians. My point in the video was that Jesus commanded that the Lord's Supper be observed 'until I come again.' If Jesus 'came' finally in the first century, as so-called 'full preterists' affirm, then it appears Jesus' command to keep the Lord's Supper no longer applies, a state of things that any sincere Christian would find unacceptable. This is one of many reasons I reject full preterism, but I certainly affirm the non-negotiable nature of the command to observe the Lord's Supper.
Yeah, the Resurrection happens in Daniel 12. All of the 70 weeks with their promises are all finished, when? Dan.12:7 "when the shattering of the power of the holy people comes to an end" . If this was not fulfilled in 70 ad then please explain. Thanks.
I think you might need to expand on your question a bit because it doesn’t quite make sense what you’re asking. What viewpoint are you leaning towards?
Rev 22 is like a bookend that reaffirms what is to “ soon” take place and to reiterate that it was a warning and comfort to the churches addressed in the beginning of Revelation. In Daniel, the book was sealed, but here he is told not to seal it. You have to notice that the time between this book and the end you describe is much much longer than between Daniel and Revelation. Much of your arguments against full preterism is anecdotal or based on the creeds rather than scripture. Having said that, I think your work is phenomenal and I continue to listen and learn.
you are a very knowledgeable blessed man. god bless you for every and all that you do. just a quick question because i'm interested in your feedback. what would your feedback be if i told you donald trump is the breakoff of the bloodline lineage of Judah ?
Can you please clarify your thoughts regarding ecclesiastes 1:4 ,it states generations come and go but world goes on forever, if there is an end to history how do you coincide this verse it seems it would a contradiction of scripture...thxs
Ecclesiastes is a book of wisdom in a world without God and shows a meaninglessness without him. So they do not contradict as I think you've misunderstood the genre of the book.
You have a great gift of teaching, but, you are missing the fact that Satan only had a short time before his end. Rev 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Rev 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
Here is something that may be useful for these verses. There is no blatant sign to look for here, but the key element is that the nations in a broad sense have to be deceived to the degree seen at the time this video was shared. The deception would be directed against God and Christians such that Christians again would be seen as an enemy. Perhaps seen as intolerant or being against unity -- but in a worldwide sense. The fire from heaven could be any action against the evildoers.
There are four terms that all refer to the same view: full preterist, consistent preterist, hyper preterist, and radical preterist. Those who embrace the view tend to use the first two terms. Those critical of it (as I am) tend toward the latter two.
The last 2 views are hyper and extreme in themselves. I would add the term Covenant Eschatology to the mix. The Great White Throne Judgment was for Israel and thusly was in 70AD.
As a Full Preterist, I would say "Radical Preterist" is a pejorative. It's never proper to stoop to this level. It's what people do when they can't really answer the opposing view. It is the grownup version of name calling. Even though Full Preterism is as obvious as the day is long, those in the Religious Establishment can't afford to acknowledge this. Literally, they can't "afford" it. They'd be out of a job and what else is a seminary graduate qualified to do?
Where is there any terms in the Bible you use "Judgment in history" and "Judgment for eternity"? There is only one "last day", which is read as a judgment throughout the Bible. So, either the last day was in 70 A.D., or there was none at all, because to have a judgment 2000-inf years later is a violation of Jesus and apostle's promises of Jesus' of the approaching last days in their generation.
The book of Revelation is a book that is events that's only referring to the Wilderness World the City of Jerusalem and the Roman Empire by coming into this important knowledge you will realize that the scriptures have been fulfilled. Satan from the very beginning of the ministry of Jesus Christ he was in Jerusalem tempting Jesus while he was fasting for 40 days then Satan used King Herod ( Rev.12 ) to try and kill the baby Jesus but while at it killed almost every child up to 2 years old. What I'm trying to illustrate is Satan's home base in deceiving and attacking was always in Israel but in Revelation chapter 17 he was prohibited from attacking and deceiving in Jerusalem because the Ten horns which represents Ten kings they made War with the Lamb and the Lamb overcame them and God used the Ten kings according to his will and the Ten kings represents the ten wars that occurred in Jerusalem from 115ad through 1967ad the six day war these wars were the great tribulation that Jesus spoke of in Matthew chapter 24 These wars were according to the will of God Satan had nothing to do with these wars because God prohibited Satan from any kind of authority or power in Jerusalem during these centuries and this is what the Bible means that Satan was bound for a thousand years. Satan was released to once again attack the Jews by using Adolf Hitler he became the Chancellor of Germany 1933ad to 1945ad and this is a key event in the history of the world because Hitler after becoming the Chancellor of Germany he began to set up his Concentration Camps When the scriptures says that fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them this is Apocalyptic language but what this means is that. LIBERATION OF NAZI CAMPS As Allied troops moved across Europe against Nazi Germany in 1944 and 1945, they encountered concentration camps, mass graves, and other sites of Nazi crimes. The unspeakable conditions the liberators confronted shed light on the full scope of Nazi horrors. 2020 marked the 75th anniversary of the liberation of prisoners from Nazi concentration camps and the end of Nazi tyranny in Europe. KEY FACTS 1 Soviet forces liberated Auschwitz-the largest killing center and concentration camp complex-in January 1945. 2 American forces liberated concentration camps including Buchenwald, Dora-Mittelbau, Flossenbürg, Dachau, and Mauthausen. 3 British forces liberated concentration camps in northern Germany, including Neuengamme and Bergen-Belsen. Before 1933 Satan was attacking within the Roman Empire from the early middle ages up to For example, it has been estimated by careful and reputed historians of the Catholic Inquisition that 50 million people were slaughtered for the crime of "heresy" by Roman persecutors between the A.D. 606 and the middle of the 19th century. This is the number cited by John Dowling, who published the classic "History of Romanism" in 1847 (book VIII, chapter 1, footnote 1). Only seven years after its first printing, it could be said of Dowling’s book, "it has already obtained a circulation much more extensive than any other large volume ever published in America, upon the subject of which it treats; or perhaps in England, with the exception of Fox’s Book of Martyrs." Clark’s Martyrology counts the number of Waldensian martyrs during the first half of the 13th century in France alone at two million. From A.D. 1160-1560 the Waldensians which dwelt in the Italian Alps were visited with 36 different fierce persecutions that spared neither age nor sex (Thomas Armitage, A History of the Baptists, "Post-Apostolic The scriptures have been fulfilled the reason most preachers and Christians don't believe that the scriptures have not been fulfilled is because they are applying the book of Revelation to the whole world but this was the time of Jacob's troubles and only Israel was identified as Jacob. God bless 🙌 🙏
Your main problem is your assumption the “we” is talking about you and I rather than those living in the first century. The Bible clearly says Jesus was sent in the last days “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;” Hebrews 1:1-2 KJV Also written “Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.” 1 Corinthians 10:11 KJV
Bruce, I'm a bit disappointed with your attempts at refuting full preterism. I've enjoyed many of your videos and had perceived you as a better, more consistent Bible interpreter than what this video shows. Your arguments against preterism are sentimental and to be frank, exegetically quite weak. I might be a different full preterist than you would normally encounter, because I don't believe that it is hermeneutically sound to say that the "thousand years" happened before 70AD, but I do believe that the return of Christ was to be understood, not by us as 18th century western rationalists, but by 1st century Jews who saw the Father's coming in clouds as national judgement. Regardless, thank you for your videos and I have found much of the material very useful. Blessings, brother.
The major events of Revelation, the defeat of the harlot, the defeat of the beast, and the defeat of the false prophet are separated by the defeat of Satan and then ultimately death itself, by a minimum of a thousand years. The reason why we know this is that Satan's influence is still at work in the world, as evidenced by the progress of evil, and people are still dying, so death has not yet been defeated.
As always, great insight and knowledge, thank you and God bless you and your family, hope to see you on the right side (Mt 25:31-34) in the day of his coming (1 Co 4:5). It's hard for me to understand why you have a literal interpretation of Rv 20:10, (apart from the rest of the book/chapter), so I beg to disagree. The word torment is better translated as torture and, I, myself, can not perceive a loving and merciful God, torturing the greater part of his creation for ever and ever, and the rest living for ever and ever in bliss knowing where so many of our loved ones are, unless God wipes our memories clean (not going there). I understand "Day and night" to be figurative speech for in Rv 22:5, it says there will be no more night. So I take it to mean for all time. Keep in mind the bible says it is appointed unto men, once to die, after this, judgment - Hb 9:27 I have no doubt on the foreverness of the result of being thrown into the lake, but I see the lake as representative of something we humans can understand and perceive, for even angels are going to be thrown into it, but not only angels (devil and demons), death and hades (grave or place of the dead) are going to be thrown in to that same lake. And we also have the fire and sulfur, why would any one think that fire and sulfur would do any harm to a spiritual being, or even to death and hades, to all humans, yes, because we perceive the results of fire and sulfur on a human body. As I see it, men have died in all manner of ways throughout the centuries, their bodies destroyed and deleted from existence, some drowned, others burnt, some eaten alive and some decayed. The bible teaches there was/is/or will be a first resurrection (depending on you eschatological view) , and there will be a second resurrection or general resurrection (not going in to other resurrections as in dispensationalism), point being, the second death, or lake of fire and sulfur is the end of all that is evil, it is the annihilation of every cause of pain and sorrow, the true end of every shadow or root of darkness. Now, I can also understand why the doctrine of annihilation is abhorred by so many a preacher today, people know they are going to die, they see it happen all around them all the time, just as in the past, in the time of Jesus, and it is easier to scare people into belief through the idea of eternal life(torment) in hell, than through a second a final death - inexistence/annihilation. It is precisely on this mind sight that our Jesus speaks on in Mt 10:28 and Lc 12:45 - Fear not those who can kill the body and not kill the soul, fear him who can kill the body and soul in gennan(hades/hell) [alluding to a place of constant visible fire]. Apart from annihilation, the word "kill" here loses all meaning and purpose. Oh well, already wrote too much. Still trying to follow Salm one, day and night. God bless and keep you.
14:38 Satan goes out to deceive the nations that are on the 4 corners of the earth generically called Gog and Magog. 15:45 4 corners.. Gog and Magog.. Sons of Japeth tabled in Genesis.
Those posting in support of FULL preterism, I will remind them of this: Oneida Community in New York. This is what happens when the fear of God is removed due to false teaching like Full Preterism. Unfortunately, I place some responsibility with Mr Gore as well. By strongly advocating full preterism up until Rev 20 is a hermeneutical bait and switch. Mr Gore has fallen for the post millennial, over optimistic, over spiritualized frame of Revelation that conveniently metaphors the symbols to the historical to support 70AD and spiritual to perpetuate Augustinian supersessionism. While the Full preterist are few in #, the partial preterist has only evolved to its current application in modern times. Sure, Clement saw preterism in the Oliver discourse, but that is a far cry from the mental gymnastics required for the 66 AD date, and spiritualizing Rev 19. I know of no one in antiquity that would have agreed with Mr Gore in his view of Rev. Sure, they were Chialist, waiting faithful in expectation, still influenced by Jewish apocryphal ideas. My 2 cents.
Who doesn't just love this man!!
I listen to Bruce Gore's teachings over and over and am strengthened in The Faith.
Thank you!
When I decided to take a close look at eschatology, I found myself a Preterist and after careful consideration, I became a full Preterist. Why? For two basic reasons: 1. Time stamps (clear time indicators in a verse/s) and 2. Audience relevance (who is the writer/speaker addressing) Here are some examples (note all caps for the time stamps and audience relevance):
Here we have Jesus speaking to his immediate audience about the "days of vengeance" to "FULFILL ALL THAT IS WRITTEN" in their life time:
"But when YOU see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, YOU will know that her desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the
country stay out of the city. For THESE ARE THE DAYS of vengeance, TO FULFILL ALL THAT IS WRITTEN." Luke 21:20-22
A little further down, He reaffirms that all this would happen in their generation:
"Truly I tell YOU, THIS GENERATION will not pass away until ALL THESE THINGS HAVE HAPPENED. Luke 21:32
"ALL THAT WAS WRITTEN" was to be fulfilled in the generation of those he was speaking to. He was speaking of the invasion of the Romans and the eventual destruction of the city and the temple in A.D. 70.
He also made this statement regarding His soon return:
"For the Son of Man IS ABOUT TO COME in His Father's GLORY WITH HIS ANGELS, and then He will repay each one according to what he has done. Truly I tell you, some WHO ARE STANDING HERE will not taste death UNTIL THEY SEE the Son of Man COMING IN HIS KINGDOM." Matt. 16:27,28
(Young's Literal Translation correctly renders the Greek word "mello" as "about to come."
And these amazing verses, again from Jesus himself: "For ALL THE PROPHETS AND THE LAW PROPHESIED "UNTIL JOHN." And if you are willing to accept it, HE IS ELIJAH who was to come.…Matt. 11:13,14 ....before the "GREAT AND TERRIBLE DAY OF THE LORD." Mal.4:5
Daniel prophesied this:
“Seventy weeks are determined for your people and for your holy city, To FINISH TRANSGRESSION, To MAKE AN END OF SINS, To make reconciliation for iniquity, To bring in EVERLASTING RIGHTEOUSNESS, To "SEAL UP VISION AND PROPHECY," And to anoint the Most Holy." Daniel 9:24
This is just a very small sampling of what I mean by "time stamps" and "audience relevance." The Gospels and the letters are full of these these two pillars of interpretation.
Jesus made it very clear when He said to his audience: (the Jews of His generation) "THESE ARE THE DAYS of vengeance, TO FULFILL ALL THAT IS WRITTEN." I repeat..."TO FULFILL ALL THAT IS WRITTEN."
Here's a statement that includes a shocking quote by the famous writer C.S. Lewis commenting on Jesus words in Matt. 24:34:
"C.S Lewis wrote a theological book near the end of his brilliant, literary career entitled 'The World’s Last Night: And Other Essays' (1960). In it, he alleges surprisingly, “the first Christians have been
PROVED TO BE FALSE.
The writer to the Hebrews makes no such mention:
"But NOW He has appeared ONCE FOR ALL AT THE END OF THE AGES to DO AWAY WITH SIN by the sacrifice of Himself. So Christ also, having been offered ONCE to bear the sins of many, WILL APPEAR a SECOND TIME, without sin, to those who are eagerly waiting for him FOR SALVATION." Heb. 9: 26b,28
"For yet in a VERY LITTLE WHILE, the Coming One WILL COME AND NOT DELAY.” Heb. 10.37
God bless!
#55 & #56 in this series = my very Top Favorites! God bless these teachings & let them soften hearts & open eyes. 🙏
Amen 🙏 truly blessed. Thank you
always a pleasure Mr Gore..
God bless you and your family...
Thanks Bruce. God bless.

God bless.
The Greek doesn't in any way imply a flat earth. Do you know how the Greek word there, and its derivative used elsewhere, is used in other contexts?
It talks about the world as a sphere in some versions, circle in this one. Isaiah 40:22 ESV It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them like a tent to dwell in;
Thank you especially for the Ezekiel stuff at the beginning. This was the first video of yours I’ve watched and I hadn’t heard that info before. Very cool! Reminded me of Psalm 1 where the believer is like the tree so were all the trees along the bank in that part of Ezekiel a metaphor for believers?
That's a good thought! Thanks for the feedback!
The reign of Christ doesn't have an end. "Telos" means accomplished.
Agreed!
Can you go and dismantle the current dispensationalism as well in a similar short format?
Galatians 6:4-16

@@larrythepcguy5474I have a question
Thank you, once again Bruce your messages have been a blessing. What would be a major difference between the Amil and Postmil? Thanks you again for your ministry.
There are no major differences between 'post' and 'a' mil. The one point that is sometimes suggested is that the 1000 years refers to a period at the end of the Christian era rather than the entire Christian era, but that view would certainly not be held by all who call themselves 'post-mil.' Thanks for your interest!
@@GoreBruce thank you
Hi Bruce, praise God for you - your studies are enlightening.
And what is the beloved city that is mentioned in the verse 9?
Concerning Satan's doom what do you do with Paul telling the believers in Rome that *"The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet."* in Romans 16 : 20?
and
What do you do with John telling the believers in the first century, "But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you!
====================================
You mentioned "the last day" points to the last day of history and you brought up how Jesus attaching significance to it (the Resurrection) and the grammatical sense of the phrase itself suggests that it's not something that happened in 70 AD.
What do you do with John telling the believers in the first century they are living in "the last hour" in 1 John 2 : 18?
The grammatical sense of the phrase itself should be held up to the same level as "the last day".
Also, Daniel's prophecy that Jesus mentioned in Matthew 24 : 15 being fulfilled before his generation passed away *includes the Resurrection!*
Daniel's prophecy is not only about the abomination of desolation. It also says :
*"Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.* Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever. But you, Daniel, roll up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end." (Daniel 12 : 2 - 4)
Daniel was told he will rise (the Resurrection) to receive his allotted inheritance at the end of the days / the end.
“As for you, go your way till *the end.* You will rest, and then *at the end of the days* you will rise to receive your allotted inheritance.” (Daniel 12 : 13)
What else was Daniel told would happen at the end?
Daniel was told by an angel that the words of his prophecy would be unsealed at the time of the end.
He replied, “Go your way, Daniel, because the words are rolled up and sealed until *the time of the end."* (Daniel 12 : 9)
This places Daniel's resurrection at the same time when his prophecy is unsealed = at the end / at the end of the days / at the time of the end.
So we have "the last hour" with the weight of its grammatical sense taking place right before 70 AD
and
we have Daniel's prophecy with significance (the Resurrection) being unsealed and fulfilled in 70 AD (the time of the end).
and
since we know the time of the end / the end of days / the end occurred in 70 AD, we can conclude Daniel rose up and received his allotted inheritance in 70 AD.
@@thecrisisfortruth Thank you for the information about Daniel 12 : 13
When was this originally recorded?
The date is included in the title, see above.
@@GoreBruce Thank you.

Bruce's preterist view, reference: 3:40 and 26:20
You have a great gift of teaching, but, you are missing the fact that Satan only had a short time before his end.
Are radical preterists and full preterists the same?
What I'm trying to illustrate is Satan's home base in deceiving and attacking was always in Israel but in Revelation chapter 17 he was prohibited from attacking and deceiving in Jerusalem because the Ten horns which represents Ten kings they made War with the Lamb and the Lamb overcame them and God used the Ten kings according to his will and the Ten kings represents the ten wars that occurred in Jerusalem from 115ad through 1967ad the six day war these wars were the great tribulation that Jesus spoke of in Matthew chapter 24
These wars were according to the will of God Satan had nothing to do with these wars because God prohibited Satan from any kind of authority or power in Jerusalem during these centuries and this is what the Bible means that Satan was bound for a thousand years.
Satan was released to once again attack the Jews by using Adolf Hitler he became the Chancellor of Germany 1933ad to 1945ad and this is a key event in the history of the world because Hitler after becoming the Chancellor of Germany he began to set up his Concentration Camps
When the scriptures says that fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them this is Apocalyptic language but what this means is that.
LIBERATION OF NAZI CAMPS
As Allied troops moved across Europe against Nazi Germany in 1944 and 1945, they encountered concentration camps, mass graves, and other sites of Nazi crimes. The unspeakable conditions the liberators confronted shed light on the full scope of Nazi horrors. 2020 marked the 75th anniversary of the liberation of prisoners from Nazi concentration camps and the end of Nazi tyranny in Europe.
KEY FACTS
1
Soviet forces liberated Auschwitz-the largest killing center and concentration camp complex-in January 1945.
2
American forces liberated concentration camps including Buchenwald, Dora-Mittelbau, Flossenbürg, Dachau, and Mauthausen.
3
British forces liberated concentration camps in northern Germany, including Neuengamme and Bergen-Belsen.
Before 1933 Satan was attacking within the Roman Empire from the early middle ages up to
For example, it has been estimated by careful and reputed historians of the Catholic Inquisition that 50 million people were slaughtered for the crime of "heresy" by Roman persecutors between the A.D.
From A.D. 1160-1560 the Waldensians which dwelt in the Italian Alps were visited with 36 different fierce persecutions that spared neither age nor sex (Thomas Armitage, A History of the Baptists, "Post-Apostolic
The scriptures have been fulfilled the reason most preachers and Christians don't believe that the scriptures have not been fulfilled is because they are applying the book of Revelation to the whole world but this was the time of Jacob's troubles and only Israel was identified as Jacob.
God bless 🙌 🙏
He’s wrong about full preterist
worldly rituals of opening the abyss happen ALL THE TIME
the earth STILL HAS four corners though
Your main problem is your assumption the “we” is talking about you and I rather than those living in the first century. The Bible clearly says Jesus was sent in the last days “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;”
Hebrews 1:1-2 KJV
Also written
“Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.”
1 Corinthians 10:11 KJV
Satan Won't be freed to bring up gog and magog til the last day After the Ressurection being during the last day history.
What do you suggest the 1000 years are?
@@N81999 Honestly not 100% sure.
@@StretchJED thats fair
Keep in mind the bible says it is appointed unto men, once to die, after this, judgment - Hb 9:27
I have no doubt on the foreverness of the result of being thrown into the lake, but I see the lake as representative of something we humans can understand and perceive, for even angels are going to be thrown into it, but not only angels (devil and demons), death and hades (grave or place of the dead) are going to be thrown in to that same lake.

Who are the sons today?
My 2 cents.
I appreciate the unusually thoughtful assessment.
