Thanks so much, after a stroke 2yrs ago I just danced for the first time to a great song I remember well when it first played over the St. Louis KXOK radio station. I dont move as well but it felt good anyway.
Glad to hear that you are recovering from something so scary. I was a freshman in high school in 1966 and remember this song as a favorite. Keep dancing brother.
This brings back a lot of fun memories. I was a drummer in a rock band and we got tons of requests to play this. I was lead singer and drummer. It all ended too soon for me. Drafted right out of high school and haven't been in a band since. I bought a set of Gretsch drums a few years back so I bang around some in the basement. BTW, the year was 1968. It's been 50 looooong years of not performing, but life was good to me and we go on. You guys got it goin' on, so keep on rockin' :)
@cactuskid1950 ....man, you are breaking my heart!! (Seriously!!) I can't understand how / why you wouldn't have pursued finding new / old musician friends and "getting the band back together"??? It's NEVER too late!! A singing drummer is always a AAA+ find for a band! Hope you have had some musical fun over these past 5 years, and that you are continuing to do so!
My old high school band played this, AND the Outsiders actually played at our high school prom. Yes, at Bishop Miege in Shawnee Mission, Kansas - 1968.
Fantastic job! You gals and guys really captured the original vibe and soul of this song . A pleasure to hear. So much depended on perfect bass line to stay true to original. Wonderful job from everyone. Thanks!
Great cover of a great song! I play, but haven't gotten to play good hot Sixties American rock and roll like that one in a very long time, so it's pretty fine to see folks getting after it. Cool touch with the fem singing lead.
Sad thing is I heard with Mr. Gerfaci after he had aneurysm , there was a collection of about 24k raised for his family. But there was funny business go ING on. News team confronting some guy making excuses about out red tape etc. Hope it was settled AnD went to his loved ones. Great song. I heard Outsiders released this song in January of 1966. I came in the world 8 months later.
A little late to comment, since this is an older post, but great cover. And as a bass player, I think that dude did a great job. I've played this song with a band, it reminds me me of how cool it is. Cheers 🍻
Very nice! Most bands play that song too fast. The vocals are right on, the bass player has it down perfect, as does the drummer. Every player nails it.
Excellent cover... well done. Drummer gets a B (needs a bit more) and the singer's shorts and flip-flops need to go away! On stage, the presentation matters > regardless of the gig. But, again, music was well done.
Great cover - all the instruments were so close that I could almost hear those screaming trumpets from the original and that is amazing. And also the lead guitar solo was just like the original. Only thing was , no offense, the lead singer sounded sorta country - maybe one of the guys could do a little better job. The original was one of the 1st 45's I bought back in the day and I still have it. Sonny Geraci would be proud that only a Precious and Few could do it this good. LOL
Great song done well
You see what happens when you let the garage band age, you get young people joining you and making sweet music.
It feels very very good to hear young people singing the songs of my era. Thank you so much
Young people? WTF? Where?
younger than me...@@Eadbhard
They are great but they certainly are not young
This is the best. I am 73 and your group made it magic. THANK YOU!

Great job, guys! You did this song justice, absolutely splendid!
Sonny Geraci would be proud! Rest in Peace Sonny!
WELL said. INDEED.
One of my favorite songs when I was a kid. 🙂
Many oldies/classic hits/classic rock cover bands do this song for one simple reason: It gets you up and dancing!
It’s always great when somebody does this song keep the memory alive
you killed it youngsters but thnik those elders on guitar and bass/drums helped a bit ! ( just an old 60's guy)

My old high school band played this, AND the Outsiders actually played at our high school prom. Yes, at Bishop Miege in Shawnee Mission, Kansas - 1968.
Checked to see if you nailed the tambourine.
Nice job.👍👍

@Wayne Green I get it: you disagree. But I am not lying.

Pretty good job on a classic tune.

Nice sound. That lead killed that riff. Super job. I took me many months to do it correctly.
Very nice! Most bands play that song too fast. The vocals are right on, the bass player has it down perfect, as does the drummer. Every player nails it.
you're kidding right?
@@donaldtalton1357
No, I'm not kidding; they do a better job of it than about 90% of local bands. And the lead singer is easy on the eyes too.
Would like to hire this band to do a spiritual Jesus song
Great !
Love it!
WOW!!!!!!!! ... great job kids

Add a couple of horn players and you’ve crushed it.
You folks kick ass!

Great!!
Need stronger vocals/harmonies, though.
Na. Too many over-singers with digital crutches. Its good the way it is.
Kool
Angellica Huston knocks another one out of the park.
