    Im curious how you afford housing as a foriegn student, I'm from outside of the EU and was looking at applying to the University of Iceland for my grad program in Geosciences, similar to you! But the website explicitly states that they do not give financial assistance for non icelandic students. I calculated an average rent for 2 years and it came out to about 20k..... I just don't see how that is possible for anyone doing school? My current university pays the foreign students a salary and completely gives them housing for free. 😅

      Hi Unfortunately I had to take student loans to cover those expenses but the government does offer housing aid and in my case, it covers 1/3 of my rent and also you can apply for jobs at the university itself (which is also my case), but if you didn't need to apply for the visas a normal part-time job where you work 2 days a week which is pretty compatible with the school would probably cover most living expenses.

    Hi dear…pls I’m an international student who intends applying to Iceland for Autumn next year, will like to ask if I’ll need to legalize my documents before applying and also if I’m required to apply for a residence permit from my home country or when I get to Iceland 🙏

    Hi! I have a question, in order to get the visa, do you know if I can prove my means of support with a student loan from my country?

    I have interest work as a nurse in iceland. Someone's told me " it easily if you come iceland as a student and atfast choice icelandic as a second languages programme from university of Iceland. Then after finishing this programme. apply for nursing licence in iceland. What do you think? It is right way?

    • @bypatriciajones
      @bypatriciajones  Год назад

      I would say so, the intense Icelandic program only lasts for a year so after that you would be free to try to get the license. Sometimes in healthcare here if they are really desperate for people they can hire you while you take classes so maybe you can see if they have something like that first
