If anikan was able to be in that moment of power he would contend with mace but since the amp is coming from the dark side mace will use vapaad and crush him it would be close but anikan would still lose Trust me Anikan is one of my favorite characters in star wars and I admit I am biased towards Anikan but given Maces performance against darth sidious in episode 3 how he utilizes vapaad I Think he bests Anikan.

How does everyone miss the point? With Dooku, Anakin said it wasn't the Jedi way. Palpatine told him to do it anyway. Then when it was Palpatine about to die, he said the same, and a Jedi Master didn't care. He realized the hypocrisy.
