I’ve been wanting a review of this thing ever since I first saw it on the podcast two years ago. My patience has been rewarded at last. I think it sounds great. Now we just need that TF51 review 👀
Bro that music test was so beautiful it inspired me to play guitar. Like dude I would love to feature with you on music. You have no idea how much that made me happy. Please bandrew
I can't stand mics with that design. The resonance is a deal breaker for me and I'm very glad you point those things out. I had an Avantone mic with that design and had to sell it within a few days of getting it. The resonance made the mic completely worthless for Voice Overs.
The U47 is my favorite mic for trumpet. I watched the video thinking I would want to try this mic sometime. However, I am now curious how the TF51 sound for trumpet.. once I have an extra 4 grand I'll have to try them 😄
Your voice sounds a tad too bright to my ears using the 47. Would have loved to have heard the Gefel UMT 70 vs the 47. The tf51 gave your vox more body and warmth imho. Really anxious about that 51 to see if it beats the Austrian Audio oc818.
Hey Podcastage, can we hear your heartbeat sound with a microphone standing there? Or, which mic can do that? Maybe we need layer-by-layer sound filtering to reach your heartbeat's sound.
On the one hand, assembled in the US means they're outsourcing a lot of the manufacturing process. On the other, it means QC is done in the US, which is possibly one of the most important parts. It also means warranty work would be done from here instead of being shipped to Taiwan or China.
Warranty work would be done via a local address (i.e. same country) for other Chinese made mics. You don't send them off to China yourself. Assembled in the US always makes me smile. They could tighten a few screws and claim it was "assembled" in the US. More often than not it is an excuse to charge more.
You got a thumbs up just for saying nineteen hundred dollars at :22 seconds in without even cracking a smile. Pro. (My bias: I just blew my budget *today* ordering the 441 flex instead of the 440 pure...)
I have the first version of this the ak47. It sounds unbeleivable on voices. I always end up using this one over my tlm103 or at4040. I know they redesing some stuff in the mic, I would be curious to compare it to the ak47. But gosh I still wish I could try the tf51 HAHAHA. On your voice the tf47 for me beats the u87. I Heard it sounds amazing on strings, i'd be really curious to test that.
I'd love to see you cover the Maono PM500. Based on every review I've found, it seems like a really good value for a $150 large diaphragm condenser, but the brand seems a little hit-or-miss. I'd like to see someone do a really thorough overview like you do in your videos.
There is one important test you are missing out on, no one does it and could add extreme value to your reviews and WILL set you apart. I'd love to share with you $$ hehe
Bandrew's back! Why would they put the polar pattern switch on the power supply? I'd expect the power supply would be tucked away someplace as opposed to easily reachable... The Lewitt 1040 continues to sound awfully good to my ears.
Not related to this mic, but if you get around to making an MK-012 review could you compare it to the VideoMic NTG indoors with an extended untreated room test? The MK-012 is a pretty common budget TV and film audio mic for interiors.
@Stefano Pavone Yeah, they're great but need a good shockmount. Really any decent Rycote one should do. It's definitely a better mic than the VideoMic NTG, but the latter has a rechargeable battery and runs on plugin power, as well as functioning as a USB mic. The MK-012 can sound a bit boxy because they have pretty decent low end and the bump in the highs is typically 2 or 3 dB, and quite narrow. I find them less boxy than the Audix SCX1HC.
Can you upload a video of Cu29, i thought about buying it. It's a telefunken, i found most of the microphones of neumann sounding nasal and thin sounding. That u87 ai it sounds natural both at the same time a little bit thin and boring sounding. The tlm 103 is very bright and trouble boosted and you can hear it when you hear the mic so i like better the u87 ai than tlm 103.
TF47 better as Vocal then "Speaking words". And for instruments that be a banger for Brass. Still my favs KSM32 and Souyz (which not so bad for Bandrew voice).
For a mic that costs that much, you'd think they care about plosives and handling noise. There's also a hollow, resonant low-end that's pretty pronounced, especially on the acoustic.
I think it sounded great for the music portion. I wasn’t feeling it for spoken word. The rode and shure sounded much better for spoken word for me. But the u87ai is unmatched for spoken word, it’s just so tight and smooth.
We all know you got the Rodecaster pro 2 before they even landed their promo trailer so the question is why haven't you put out your review video since they've already uploaded the trailer? We all know that is what you should be all excited about right now. They should be raining money on you for at least a week now.
This video cost more than my house.
Me too. Me too. Wait...I don't have a house. DAMN IT!
@@Podcastage omegalul 😂
@@Podcastage I thought all those mic boxes were your building materials. :-)

Yeah the 51 was the 'ooooh helloooo' here.
The TF51... WOW!!!! I loved it!!!
Damn, that TF51 sounds smooth as hell
glad you took a break, Baseballdrew :*
This was a superb episode! What a way to come back :D
Bro that music test was so beautiful it inspired me to play guitar. Like dude I would love to feature with you on music. You have no idea how much that made me happy. Please bandrew
Wow. Came for the TF47... Now I'm obsessed with the TF51. Would love to hear a more in depth review of that one.
TF 47 better than TF 51.
@@HarvinderSingh-yy8th they’re both great 🤝
@@HarvinderSingh-yy8th Not better, they're just different
Danke!
Glad you took a break, so important to take care of yourself and loved ones! cb
I actually think this is the mic for Bandrews voice. This sounded great on his voice! He sounded amazing!
Yeses new reviews! Thank you
Your channel is very relaxing, it puts my birds to sleep.
I was just thinking “I see a 1073 clone in the background, I wish he’d test through that, too” and then you DID!!! Thank you!!!
Grating nails on the cover gave me similar feels to seeing rainforests burning
Welcome back! This thing sounded excellent on the music tests. Sadly, its price tag is a little less excellent haha.

2022:
When buying a Neuman and putting it on a shelf is a better investment than having money in the bank.
That U87ai. You convinced me.
Welcome back. Be sure to take regular breaks to recharge your batteries. You can't get Telefunken in Australia but they seem pretty impressive.
Love the content bro. Stay blessed fam.
this mic suits your voice. the shure ksm32 sounded great too tho
The KSM32 is such an overlooked mic! I use it all the time for Voice Acting gigs.
Please do the AKG P820 Tube, i love that one!
The Master delivers again!

It's good to see that you're prioritizing your health and take time off! Don't skimp on it, that's an order!
Damn that TF 51 would be great for rap vocals
Looking forward to your Rode Caster Pro 2 review!
I suggest the Audient EVO 16 for upcoming review.
Another great review mate. How does it compare to my Neumann TLM 49 for Voice Over? I noticed you weren't sold on the TF47 for this usage.
He did a tlm49 review check that out you’ll get that answer
@@ItzrealMusic Thanks for the heads up. I did catch that one. As always very detailed reviews from Podcastage.
@@walterwilliams1323 no problem man & I agree totally I appreciate this channel such a big help with loads of information
What is your opinion on a good ASMR microphone?
Thats funken TeleFunken for you!
Cool! Thank you man!
I could be wrong but I heard a major difference between the TF47 and the KSM32 (preference to the Shure). Sounded pretty well for acoustic guitar too.
My favorites were the telefunken you are testing and the KSM32
How can we compare without live singing on these mics ...
Should try TF39 too
Ngl mic looks so clean🚒
damn bro. my last visit 4 years ego. How many stuff did you get ?? your room so crowded.
Ahhhhh yessss....ive been craving some podcastage deep dives. I bet you're gearing up for audient evo 16! Can't wait!!:)

The Lewitt 1040 continues to sound awfully good to my ears.
Historically the reason for this was for when recording orchestras and the mic was put high up in the room and hard to reach

I wonder how the 29 and 39 Copperheads compare to the 47 and 51? If they're positioned halfway between the two, or if they do something else?

Do a singing review of tf 51
Man, other brands are going to get really tired of getting compared to the Lewitt LCT1040 really fast!
I’ve got a TF39. It’s good enough.
For rap vocals…how would you compare this to the TLM 49 and WA 8000?…I have the TF51 but want a more mid forward sound…
It’d be nice if the Rode K2 was part of the comparison.
I have a K2 and honestly it sounds closer to the TF51
ultralinear (neutral). handheld DPA. microphone, DeFacto 4018 VL, (not the "normal" Defacto 4018 V ) Will Bandrew test it? will he like it?
Just bout 2 of these...idk why.
For a mic that costs that much, you'd think they care about plosives and handling noise. There's also a hollow, resonant low-end that's pretty pronounced, especially on the acoustic.
I'm missing the air on this thing...
Their TF51 would be more your speed then.

Take this opinion with a whole big block of salt, as I watched this on my phone: I liked the LCT1040 the most, but is it $1600 better? Hard to say…
He bacc!
REVIEW TF 29 !!!!!!!
oh no bandrew is stuck in a time loop
I had the telefunkin AK47. Amazing on cymbals, but for my voice not so much. Actually the worst mic I ever owned for my voice.
Ah yes, casual 300$ increase in price because *inflation* it's absolutely nuts. can't wait for the sm7b to run at 499$
(Decides to order the Telefunken TF47😬)
Sound of the mic is not tasty like naumann mics.
Thanks for sharing, I appreciate it.
Mojave MA 201 fet is much better cm than TF 47.
Very different sounding mics, so if you prefer the tone of the 201, that's great.
Which will you choose.
TF51 crushes the 47.
I'm gonna need a wrist check before each video! ⌚
Di el tercer like, increible!!

Oooops Sorry dude Tube mic 🎤 $ 1900.00 out at the one minute mark . Sorry zero interest. 🥱 Better luck next time.
Good to see you moved on from acting as if you wouldn't have the money to buy these things.
