Thanks to all real vegans who are here.
Signs That Someone Will Quit Being Vegan - (Because They Were Never Really Vegan in the First Place):
➡ 1. They seem SELFISH - They talk about themselves all the time instead of the animal victims. They show signs of not wanting to change their lives or their habits because it takes mental energy to do so.
➡ 2. They appear EMOTIONALLY WEAK - They don’t want to be seen as “pushy” or “judgemental” around their friends, family and colleagues, so they choose to simply “fit into society” instead of speaking out for the innocent animals who are being raped (sexually assaulted by being forced to be pregnant), kidnapped, stolen from (eggs, milk, honey) and murdered by the very people who surround them.
➡ 3. They show signs of being VAIN - The person’s focus is on weight loss or “health”. They look in the mirror often and don’t eat enough calories so they get sick and then they blame veganism instead of their own vanity.
➡ 4. They seem DRIVEN BY “PURITY” - They focus excessively on raw foods or juicing or eating a very narrow assortment of vegan foods which ends up backfiring, because they then have unhealthy cravings, or a lack of overall nutrients.
➡ 5. They appear LAZY - Instead of buying lentils, beans, rice, potatoes, cans of veggies and other vegan foods in bulk and preparing them in advance, they give in to cravings because they were too lazy to plan how to handle obstacles.
➡ 6. They show signs of being DISINGENUOUS - They lie to themselves and say things like that “being vegan costs too much” or “is too difficult” which are simply factually untrue. Boiling noodles, rice, oats and vegetables, or making peanut butter and banana toast is so easy that even a child can do it. It’s not expensive or hard. It’s extremely easy to prepare these and have them ready to instantly eat and take as lunches out of the home.
➡ 7. They seem IGNORANT - They lack scientific education about how veganism is good for the animals, the planet and also human health.
➡ 8. They act like COWARDS - They only speak out to defend what’s popular (dogs, cats etc) but not to say what’s really important which is to be against speciesism, which is the first form of racism.
➡ 9. They appear UNEDUCATED - The person doesn’t understand that being vegan is not about them - it’s a social justice movement based on the moral obligation not to eat, wear or use animals for food, clothing or entertainment.
➡ 10. They say STUPID things - They’re either religious or spiritual in their decision-making, not logical. For example, they believe that the earth is flat or that Santa is real or that Jesus walked on water so they are unable to fathom that being vegan is the right thing to do.
➡ 11 They seem STUBBORN - The person is resistant to working with plant-based health professionals; they stubbornly follow random advice they hear on the internet, or their own instincts, which are often wrong, instead of going to vegan doctors or vegan dieticians.
➡ 12. They appear to be DRIVEN BY SEX - NOT ETHICS - The person has a new meat-eating partner who influences them to be more self-centered, as opposed to continuing to think about the animal victims.
➡ 13. They have UNHEALTHY habits- They rely heavily on processed foods instead of eating a wide variety of whole foods.
➡ 14. They give off SHALLOW, “PICNIC VEGAN” VIBES - They like eating vegan foods and want to have “cool friends” so they go to food events like potlucks and picnics with vegans, but they always seem to have excuses for being late to protests - or they simply never show up at all.
➡ 15. They’re NOT “OUT” AS VEGANS - They never go to protests and they never remind people that it’s their duty to watch Earthlings, Dominion Movement, Cowspiracy, Seaspiracy and to read up on the latest studies about vegan dogs, etc. They avoid controversy like the plague and make fun of “those vegans” by adding to veganphobia, instead of defending the heroes of our movement.

As language evolves with cultural behavior, I think pignorant is a wonderful new word.
The old phrase used to use pigs as a term of insult.." pig ignorant ", indicating someone who was base, uncouthed and unwashed Neanderthal type.
One of the tired old anti vegan taunts is people who obsess over bacon. The "ummmm bacon ", posts or "juicy steak", with adjoining carcass pictures etc. Tired , base unoriginal taunts.... a very appropriate use for the new word..someone who is pignorant.

I agree about the whole supermarket thing but even the managers of these supermarkets are just as blinded as its not down to them where their food comes from they literally manage the employees and do it all in a way that head office for that supermarket asks for. So its head office headquarters of a supermarket which makes the big decisions the actual owner of the supermarket is whos to blame who they buy from etc and its all about profit.

Oh, this brings back memories of the NY hardcore scene here in the late 80's and 90's. I was told they would pin you up against a wall and ask if you were vegan. lol...only slightly kidding.
    - What about food? Is it not absolutely essential to be a Vegetarian for Spiritual Growth?
"What you do is never essential, what you are is always essential. Being is essential, doing is not essential. Being is essential, having is not essential. Consciousness is essential, character is not essential -- because it is not character that creates consciousness but consciousness that creates character.
If you are religious, if you are spiritual, things will change around you. You may become a vegetarian, you may not. It depends -- people are different. But to be a vegetarian cannot be an essential condition for being spiritual. There have been spiritual people who were vegetarians, and there have been spiritual people who were not. And it is good that life consists of variety, it is good that life consists of different kinds of people. Otherwise it would be utterly boring.
Just think -- only Mahaviras, roaming around the earth, naked vegetarians. No Krishna, no Christ, no Buddha, no Mohammed, no Mansoor. It will be a very poor world, it will be really ugly. And remember, Mahavira is beautiful but too many Mahaviras won't be beautiful. God never creates the same person again. And the reason is that once is enough, once is more than enough. God is completely satisfied. He never repeats, He never duplicates. He believes only in originals, He has no carbon copies.
So I cannot say that food has any essential thing to contribute to your spirituality. But your spirituality may change your food habits. That too cannot be predicted; I keep your freedom intact. less used to drink, and he is not less spiritual because of that. Patanjali will never be able to even conceive of a spiritual man drinking, but that is Patanjali's angle of seeing things. Jesus will not be able to understand: 'Why is Patanjali not drinking? If Patanjali cannot drink, then who else? If Patanjali cannot celebrate, then who else? He should be dancing, he should be singing, he should be celebrating -- he has arrived.
    '
But celebrations are also different. Somebody may celebrate by fasting, somebody may celebrate by feasting. People are different. If you can remember this you will never become a fanatic. Otherwise the danger is always there: on the path of spiritual growth the greatest danger is that of fanaticism. All so-called religions are fanatic, because they only allow that which THEIR scripture says, and THEIR founder says -- everything else has to be denied. That is making life very very limited. And life is unlimited, it is an infinity.
You ask: WHAT ABOUT FOOD? I don't talk about food, I talk about you -- the real thing is to happen there. When it has happened then I am not worried about you; then whatsoever you do will be right. Let me say it in this way: There is no act which is right and no act which is wrong, there are only persons who are right and persons who are wrong. When the right person does something it is right, when a wrong person does something it is wrong. Right and wrong are not qualities of any act -- all depends on who is behind the act.
For example, it happened: Buddha said to his disciples, to his monks and nuns, 'Whatsoever is given to you, you have to eat it. You should not demand, you should not become a burden on the society. You should simply go and stand before a house and if the people feel like giving they will give. You are not even to ask and you are not to give the details of what you need. Whatsoever is given, accept it in deep humbleness, gratitude, and eat it.' One day it happened, a monk was returning after begging food from the town and a crow flew upon him and dropped a piece of meat into his begging-bowl. Now, Buddha had said 'Whatsoever is given...'
The monk was disturbed. He had not asked for this meat; it had fallen, it was in the bowl, he had not desired it. What should he do? He started thinking 'Should I throw it away or should I eat it? -- because Buddha has said "Don't throw anything away. People are starving, food is always a scarcity. Don't throw anything away; eat whatsoever is given." Should I throw it away or should I take it?'
The problem was such that there was no precedent. So he thought 'It is better to ask the Buddha.' When the assembly gathered he brought his begging-bowl and he asked the Buddha 'What am I supposed to do?'
Buddha closed his eyes, for a moment he meditated. He meditated because of two seasons. One: if he says 'Throw it away' then he will be creating a precedent of throwing things away. Then later on -- such is the cunning mind of man -- people will think that Buddha has given the freedom, if you feel that something is wrong you can throw it away. But then they will start throwing away foods that they don't like. That will be a wastage . And then he thought 'Crows are not going to drop meat every day. This is just an accident and the accident should not be made a rule -- it is an exception.' So he said 'It's okay. Whatsoever is given, even if the crow has dropped meat, you have to eat it.'
That transformed the whole Buddhist history -- in subtle ways. The monks and the nuns started spreading the news to people that whatsoever is given, even if meat is given, they would accept it. And Buddhism became a meat-eating religion just because of that crow. You see? The crows are more important than your Buddhas. They transform things. Man is so stupid that he will follow a crow rather than a Buddha."

David, you mentioned Wayne of DXE. He's nothing like any genuine animal activist I've ever met. I get no sense of any passion for animals from him. My question is why does he promote pharma and vivisection if he’s so up on data and statistics? The red flag was that his org did a video specifically promoting the CV vax, condoning animal blood ingredients and torture, like he had made a deal to do it. Many vegans were outraged in the over 600 comments.
He seems to skip out of long sentences with only probation, and was even acquitted after turning down a plea bargain, which is unheard of. I don’t trust this guy, he’s very suspect in every way. What has he ever done that was effective, like other real activists? Surely you know there’s infiltrators in animal rights. Don’t be fooled by this guy.
