"Keep It Greasy", a tune originally by Frank Zappa, contained a guitar part that stuck with Gergo Borlai which caused him to use it as part of his drum clinics. This whole jam is in 19/16 time, but it's easier to break down than you may think!

Huh. That's alright I guess, but it's sounding a bit dated now. I just did a 20/16 jam. Next year I will do a 20/17 jam.
For practice time signatures can be fun. But I feel drummers today are so obsessed with the technical, and technique of ridiculous time signatures it can really become "expected". Do you think drummers from the 70's put so much emphasis on time signatures when playing some tricky parts? No way, it was all feeling first. When you hear the groover here, counting isn't even necessary if you can follow the musical accents and patterns. I think musically the most unimpressive music is math metal, djent, or genres that purposely put emphasis on time signature changes. It becomes so overly written its not enjoyable because everyone does it, and heavily lacks feeling. Playing difficult signatures just for the sake of it doesn't improve your musicianship, at all. I think drummers need to learn to feel the music, and not count it. If you can write to any song by hearing the musicality of your kit through the notes. Than you wont be creating anything new in the world of drumming.
Reported for cheating in real life.
And I thought I knew time signature well...
You cant go wrong with a gretsch kit
Sometimes with grooves like this it's easier for me to get just by feel rather than analyzing it too much ya know
Dude makes it seem like chidsplay!
Mind blowingly good - just discovered GB and am... lost for words
He plays with the soul.

This is the best FZ odd-time influenced thing I’ve ever heard. It’s one thing to be in awe of Zappa but completely another to improve on it.
it's gone way beyond my comprehend. He is a beast in drumming no question. Just love his drumming world.
Az a megtiszteltetés ért, hogy vizelhettem egy helyiségben ezzel a zsenivel kb 2000 körül, egy Kaltenecker trió koncerten a Dózsában! 🤯
Wow, what a beautiful sounding drum-set...the cymbals seem to compliment the sound too. Really cool.
The kit sounds lovely
Those toms make me want to just cry, I have never heard such beautiful sounding toms. This guy has his stuff together!
I am glad I have discovered Gergo Borlai.
Thank you drumeo for consistently uploading awesome clips like this
Seriously Drumeo, no one is mixing as well as y’all are. Great job!
WOW that is insane. I love how it sounds, especially the cymbals
