Lounge is the unofficial ranking system for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe! When you wish to compete, you will play against other players of similar match-making rating (MMR). Depending on your MMR, you will place in one of the numerous ranks in Lounge:
Iron 1: 0-999 MMR
Iron 2: 1000-1999 MMR (Placement: 1500)
Bronze 1: 2000-2999 MMR (Placement: 2500)
Bronze 2: 3000-3999 MMR (Placement: 3500)
Silver 1: 4000-4999 MMR (Placement: 4500)
Silver 2: 5000-5999 MMR
Gold 1: 6000-6999 MMR
Gold 2: 7000-7999 MMR
Platinum 1: 8000-8999 MMR
Platinum 2: 9000-9999 MMR
Sapphire 1: 10000-10999 MMR
Sapphire 2: 11000-11999 MMR
Ruby 1: 12000-12999 MMR
Ruby 2: 13000-13999 MMR
Diamond 1: 14000-14999 MMR
Diamond 2: 15000-15999 MMR
Master: 16000-16999 MMR
Grandmaster: 17000+ MMR
Depending on your rank, you will only be eligible to compete in some of the following tiers:
Tier G: Iron 1 + Iron 2 + Placement
Tier FG: Iron 2 + Bronze 1
Tier F: Bronze 1 + Bronze 2
Tier EF: Bronze 2 + Silver 1
Tier E: Silver 1 + Silver 2
Tier DE: Silver 2 + Gold 1
Tier D: Gold 1 + Gold 2
Tier CD: Gold 2 + Platinum 1
Tier C: Platinum 1 + Platinum 2
Tier BC: Platinum 2 + Sapphire 1
Tier B: Sapphire 1 + Sapphire 2
Tier AB: Sapphire 2 + Ruby 1
Tier A: Ruby 1+
Tier S: Ruby 2+
Tier X: Diamond 1+
If you're just getting started, you will be placed in either Iron or Bronze. You'll typically see the seasoned veterans in Sapphire or above.

I know this was miserable for you to play out, but holy cow that lounge was some of the best raw content we've gotten in a hot minute. A ton of rare tracks, kart moments left and right, just the wildest bit of chaos I've seen in this game. Watching good players is one thing, watching good players go full savage mode is another thing entirely.
Here's hoping to a better race next time.

@@amir_hamzah in squad queues they’re most spammy because the ranks are more dispersed
Idk if you play lounge but sometimes teams will actually target you because of overall placement

That was just a hyper aggressive lounge. Lost composure, but that's okay bounce back JP. When you notice the lobby is being aggressive, ya gotta adjust quicker and lock in just a bit more brother. Ay everything is a learning opportunity.

@@StarVermillion Feel like bro was downplaying how much JP was trying though. Was 100% a Mario Kart moment, and while JPG was trying to hold in demons he made a great attempt multiple times (as seen by that last race, which was easily a top spot for our guy if this room wasn't as crazy)
@@boom-jr8vi I don't think he was trying to downplay at all, he was just trying to offer some valid advice. We all know what JPG is about so its all good. It was a mario kart moment and he lost some composure, that's all.

See I'm Canadian but I love winter and hate summer.
You know the reason people like moo moo meadows is because there are only two item sets per lap and only one of them has double boxes. Which means there are significantly less items in play on a moo moo meadows race which really benefits front runners.
Case and point you missed the last set, which fucked you, but also meant the people in front of you were clear sailing, other tracks with 4-5 item sets are way more hectic and prone to the op items like shocks and bills.
It’s cool for comments to look out for jp but remember that he is probably better than 99% of his viewers so try to not be so overbearing or condescending with your suggestions
you know more about the game than me, but I really feel like once you get to halfway point of 3rd lap of a track, you really need to use the item quickly
sometimes people go for the last minute shock because by then everyone has burned their items. In these rooms it's not uncommon for people to save shock until last corner/straightaway/chain into last set so they can benefit as much as possible.
