Lounge is the unofficial ranking system for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe! When you wish to compete, you will play against other players of similar match-making rating (MMR). Depending on your MMR, you will place in one of the numerous ranks in Lounge:
Iron 1: 0-999 MMR
Iron 2: 1000-1999 MMR (Placement: 1500)
Bronze 1: 2000-2999 MMR (Placement: 2500)
Bronze 2: 3000-3999 MMR (Placement: 3500)
Silver 1: 4000-4999 MMR (Placement: 4500)
Silver 2: 5000-5999 MMR
Gold 1: 6000-6999 MMR
Gold 2: 7000-7999 MMR
Platinum 1: 8000-8999 MMR
Platinum 2: 9000-9999 MMR
Sapphire 1: 10000-10999 MMR
Sapphire 2: 11000-11999 MMR
Ruby 1: 12000-12999 MMR
Ruby 2: 13000-13999 MMR
Diamond 1: 14000-14999 MMR
Diamond 2: 15000-15999 MMR
Master: 16000-16999 MMR
Grandmaster: 17000+ MMR
Depending on your rank, you will only be eligible to compete in some of the following tiers:
Tier G: Iron 1 + Iron 2 + Placement
Tier FG: Iron 2 + Bronze 1
Tier F: Bronze 1 + Bronze 2
Tier EF: Bronze 2 + Silver 1
Tier E: Silver 1 + Silver 2
Tier DE: Silver 2 + Gold 1
Tier D: Gold 1 + Gold 2
Tier CD: Gold 2 + Platinum 1
Tier C: Platinum 1 + Platinum 2
Tier BC: Platinum 2 + Sapphire 1
Tier B: Sapphire 1 + Sapphire 2
Tier AB: Sapphire 2 + Ruby 1
Tier A: Ruby 1+
Tier S: Ruby 2+
Tier X: Diamond 1+
If you're just getting started, you will be placed in either Iron or Bronze. You'll typically see the seasoned veterans in Sapphire or above.

wow i think jpg is the only one who I like before the content starts, because the Intro already is worth the like imo.
I see some fundamental mistakes in your races JPG. I feel like you always get behind and try to get to a high spot right at the very last lap. I think that's why you always get some 7-9 spots because races are always too short for you to complete the comeback. I think that is harder to do a comeback in the last bit of the 3rd lap since everyone's trying to gain some spots, there's a lot of mayhem and is almost impossible to not get hit. That's why it feels so random.
I would recommend you to try to frontrun as soon as possible, even if you get hit or have to spam your defense objects and see how it goes. You're a really good driver but in this event, the placements were all over the place :(
Ps. Being in a position were getting hit by a "random green" or by anything in the last places in the 3rd lap is the most punishing stuff that it could happen to your placements. I would prefer to be anywhere else on the track
W advice. I would also add that being more aggressive with items in general would benefit his results as well, I feel. It would help when he's behind in a race and he's trying to catch back up, if he sees people and he has an item to slow them down, why not. Cause sum disruption, slow people down, gain a few spots potentially. Now I obviously don't mean to go crazy and then end up getting targeted, or use it at the wrong time without seeing what items they have themselves. Controlled aggression is what I'm advocating for.

I don’t know much about this game because i‘m an mkwii player but one thing i noticed is you don’t hold ur items long enough. In mkwii if u get a good item you try to hold this item for as long as you can maybe even 3 laps straight but I noticed you don’t hold ur items more than 10 seconds. As I said i don’t know much about this game and if holding ur items is not effective at all, but maybe u can try holding ur items longer next time to see if it makes a difference
He’s played at least a few hundred of these, I’m sure he knows how to manage his items at this point…
the shock can be held by more than 1 player and the boo can steal your items at any time
hey jp, i love your content and have been a fan for ages now, but I feel like you focus to much on your commentary to the point where it like causes you to perform worse in lounge. I remember your old videos when the commentary didn’t seem forced and you would perform really well, and the videos were still entertaining asf. This isn’t a hate comment it’s just something I noticed these past few months🫶🏽
not a knock on your content at all but ive noticed your performance is not nearly as good as it used to be. I think youre too distracted by your commentary sometimes and need to lock in more.
The bagging change is making fire and triples way more common than before and many people just spam them....thats one of the reasons people are suffering now (spammers just automatically get a buff )
