Def didn’t become a regular cook till kids came along!! U are doing such a great job!! Moving, unpacking, cleaning, being a mom to 2 toddlers & making YT vid!! U should be proud of how much you’ve accomplished so far Jenia!! Can’t wait to watch as u make this house your home🥰🙏🏻 I’m so impressed!:)
From a long time wife and mom you did a great job. Always set up the kitchen first. Then the bathrooms and bedrooms. You'll find that some of what fit in the old place may not fit in the new one. Just the way it goes. Good luck and happy homemaking!
As long as your kids loved mama food is all that matters ❤️🙌 im an okay cook and my kids make me feel like my foods sooo good lol but of course when they eat others foods they like there’s a lot too
That is a great thought! I think there are so many things to do with it, I just need to do my research. And yes, you are right, I even told my husband that may be there is a way to make money with it.. Thank you for the thought, I 'll read on it.
Oh my Miss Jenia! I am so very excited and happy for you and your family. Your new home is beautiful and in no time you will have it looking and feeling like yours. I am also relieved your furbaby is not stressing to go outside. It’ll give you time to figure out what you can do to keep her safe, if she does. Hopefully she may never want to! Looking forward to watching this special time in your life unfold. Nothing sweeter than settling down and making roots. Until next time sweet Jenia. 💕💕
Loved watching you unpack the kitchen and seeing how lovely you made it look. So pleased your cat is loving the new home too and exploring it. Enjoy making it a home and the garden. Angie uk. Xx
Jenia, That is a great tip for cleaning under the lazy susan with a rag and turning it! In all of my houses over the years I have never even had a thought about cleaning under there!
Great job putting your kitchen together! Such a big project and it must be so nice to be able to cook again. I recommend one of the first things you do is reseal your sink around the counter. Butcher block counters are wonderful but need a little more maintenance if you have a sink set up like yours. You don’t want mold!
Wow ! What a great home. The yard is fantastic ! We have never bought a new home , that we were the very first owners. All our homes had families and none of them were spotless. So before we moved in I would hire cleaners to come in and do their thing. No it wasn’t cheap but it was so worth it. When you move you are under so much stress, why add to it? Another strategy was to set up the kid’s bedrooms and playroom first… a life saver.
I cook for myself, and don't do much eating out. My husband and only child have passed away so I cook a real meal a few days a week. Otherwise, I eat what left overs. I love your new place, it's so spacious. Enjoy!
You have made a great start on getting your new house cleaned up and putting things away. Kitchens are always such a trial and error while you see what works best. Good Luck 👍👍👍
Congratulations on your beautiful home!! I just fell in love with your backyard!! Cannot wait to see what you grow! Looking forward to seeing you get settled in 😘😃
Hello again Jenia....what a great video....love your chatting & explaining as you go along. I would LOVE to see you transform the kitchen again using paint, it will make such a massive difference and you will immediately increase the value of your home. Kitchens and bathrooms sell homes, so your hard work will be repaid over and over again. 😀 I'm sure you will find plenty of diy projects to make with that bamboo in your garden as you cut them back, don't get rid of them. Enjoy getting settled in your beautiful home, I'm looking forward to seeing your future videos. Jen from New Zealand. 🤗💛
Hi Jenny! Thank you so much! you are right, so many diy projects, I can't fit them in my head! With the bamboo bamboo - I will use the baby ones for my plants as trellis / support. We just need to figure out how to cut the big ones still. I am glad you enjoyed the video, thank you for letting me know. 💕😊
Thank you for making this video! I've had it playing as I have been unpacking at my new home. It has been lovely to have you for company (in video form!) and I felt less alone with all the work and the dirt!!
Congratulations on the new house! you are certainly making it your own by cleaning and organizing it to your standards.... Nice to "see" you again and am looking forward to videos from your new place.
Since it was just the 2 of us we didnt know how to cook for so long, but then we did one of those subscription meal kits and learned to cook. We are better at cooking then fast food now.

I had no idea the rubber thing came out! Now I’m terrified to go look at mine, but I have to lol & also my family and friends hated my meals when I first started cooking before I had kids. Your videos have been helpful. Thank you for sharing. I can't even express how motivating and inspirational you are. I have been working through my whole house, purging and deep cleaning everything, having yard sales almost daily, all in prep to move in 2 months. I have been so thorough, it's tiring, tedious, but rewarding. Started my storage room in the basement. Spent 18 hours total so far and am still excited to keep working on it. It's been the grossest part of this entire house purge, thanks to all the spiders and dust! It will most likely take me a week to fully complete because I can only spend so many hours down there before needing a break for fresh air and a shower. I would love to say I'm half way down with the house, but it is chaos from donation boxes, sell boxes, half packed boxes as I fill from other areas of the house, and like items piled together ready to purge. I got bored with the same scenery and decided to start the basement in hopes to reignite some motivation and it worked like a charm. I would drag everything outside for better air and to speed things up but there is a massive hive in the back yard and those bees are violent! I'll keep ya'll posted and check back on your updates. Have a good day. You're doing great! I only hope to move half as put together as you have.
I think you are very smart to start preparing 2 months ahead without putting it off! It is always going to be more then we expected to deal with. But I am sure you will do fine, since from what I am reading you have been a little busy bee over there! Good for you! At the end of our move, I though I had it together, but we had to just start throwing stuff into boxes because we were running out of time. I feel like this is only normal. So I wish you luck! I will hear from you before you move may be. And also, if you have a lot of stuff, I would leave some extra boxes or trash bags for the last day , there is stuff you don;t even think of, and it will need to be taken out of the house probably..
Wow your new home and yard looks beautiful. I can imagine being a kid and running all around the bamboo and exploring! How fun for your family ❤️ congrats.
Hi Jenia, very well done on getting the kitchen unpacked & ready for cooking. I like preparing meals for my family and feel that fast food & take-aways are not a healthy option. If the sink drain is the nastiest thing you find I’ll be so pleased for you, as this house was filthy when we moved in!! As always thank you for doing these videos and see you next time. Sending a cuddle for Katya x
Hi Jenia! So happy that you finally moved to your new home. I am excited for everything you will do in the future like makeover, DIY renovation and organization. Good luck!❤️
making home made foods. My grandma said that if you can read, you can cook. I so agree. Keep going Jenia. keep cooking homemade food and your family will feel better and its so much cheaper.
Hllo jenia, congrats on the new home. it looks amazing. That outdoor space is so beautiful and tranquil. i am like you with my cats. they are former strays but they will live years longer in the house. A catio would be great they are safe from large predators and they can also experience nature. Expecilaly if you put some non toxic plants for them in there. I find that even when I mop, I have to get down on the floor and do some manually becuause the mop doesn't always get in the nooks and crannies. Thank you again for posting wonderful content. Take care.
Hello Kimmie! Thank you for the comment! Yes, sometimes manual option is the best option for cleaning! I think I will buy a catio instead of building since I will not get to it soon. I will get a simple - smaller one for now, see how she likes it, and may be build one later, after settling down.
I cook well. My kids are all in college now and I don’t cook as much. I grew up in a poor family and we cooked all of our meals and my parents and grandparents were excellent cooks
Don't worry about the cat going out. Cats can climb trees so quick to get away from predators. They aren't as fragile as ppl think. They are tiny predators themselves. Don't let her out for a month or 2 then let her out. She will be fine. Put a crap load of ice down your garbage disposal and turn it of for 10 seconds. Then do it again. The ice is really abrasive and will clean it so nice. Its amazing how well it works.
Yes, I agree with the tip to clean the disposal with ice. I have that on my to-do list , the complete disposal deep clean with baking soda and all that stuff. But I will also try just the ice, like you said, sounds not very time consuming, we all like that. The cat... the nature here is worrying me. She used to go outside in the old house, townhouse type of neighbourhood, so I was not as worried. I am getting her a catio for now.
Hi Jenia! I like to cook, but I end up cooking twice a week Bc we need to use up leftovers 😆 However, I prefer 🏡 cooked any day. If I eat out, it’s a desperate situation:))🧺🧽🧼🧹
You did a fine job cleaning up the kitchen. I thought you had a very good idea for cleaning under the lazy susan. When I bought my last house it was from a young man and his fiance who is a nurse at our local hospital. I hope I never have her as my nurse, as the house was absolutely filthy. They did not clean anything. I replaced the stove & hood and the refrigerator in the kitchen as they were covered in grease. Scrubbed all the cabinets and painted them. Cleaned and painted all the walls and then replaced all of the carpet before I moved my furniture in. Then I replaced the bathroom floors and the toilets. Your house may not be "deep cleaned" but at least the surfaces look decently wiped down.
Yes, that is a challenge! You make a huge move and you think you are done, but now have got to put the whole house together! Must have cost a lot too. We just ordered a dishwasher as ours was leaving some red residue after finishing a cycle, but that is, thank goodness , so far , the only replacement in the house. Lol, that is interesting, that the lady is a nurse at your hospital.

I hear you, sorry. She is a bit confused as to where her place is in the new house, since I had to keep her food on one of the lower tables temporarily, because we have a baby.
@@fromjeniawithlove2506 anyone with one jot of sense would realise why you had to feed the cat on the counter with small children around, you are doing a fantastic job Jenia.
@@avrilvincent1997 OH thank you so much! 😊💕
