Ooo your bedroom windows would be a fantastic place for a long bench with storage, and comfy pillows and a throw, and big plants at each end 😍 I think it’s important for everyone, especially moms, to have their own space to go to when they need that I spy your little boy and recommend getting outlet protectors 😳 I know it’ll keep you busy for a while to come, making your house your own.. but so happy y’all found just the right spot ☺️💜

From the beginning I was telling my hubby that I didn;t want to stuff it with furniture, the only thing I could think of was a bench under the window with storage. Exactly what you said. It is so satisfying watching all the unpacking and organizing going on. I am so happy you moved the furniture away from those beautiful bedroom windows. It must feel wonderful having that bedroom nice and clean with no more boxes and the clothes unpacked to be able to actually find all your clothes again. Also, I really love the colorful comforter you have that matches your pillow cases with the teal colored x pattern. It matches your paint and brightens your room up so nicely compared to the gray one you also use. I like the new matching night table you have for both sides of the bed. I love how open and nice your bedroom is looking. I have a lot of furniture in my room due to lack of closet space. I also have a vanity/desk for make up which also sort of turns into a desk area as paper work and mail and things creep in. We only have a very tiny one sink main floor bathroom outside the bedroom (aside from the kids upstairs and basement bathroom, but no master bath for private items), so I don’t have much storage in the bathroom. I’d love a separate little small/office room with a door. I can relate to what you said about people waking around behind you while you are trying to look at your computer etc.it is also great to have a room where you can close the door if you want to spread your mess/current project out. I have office furniture in the basement but its open and I’d prefer to have my own space. I also find its a bit far away from everything so not the most practical location. I also would love a desk area like you have in your kitchen. I have a little space where I could put a short bar stool, but we actually have a mini beverage fridge there. I wonder once you are settled in how that kitchen desk area will work out for you. So happy for you that you have space to be able to claim some areas in the home as your own. As a stay home or work from home mom, we spend the most time in the house and need our own spaces too. You’ve given me a few good ideas to try in my house.

The kitchen is awesome so far as desk, I bring my laptop every once in a while and can multitask while cooking. I agree about the green/white comforter, it is my favourite!! The grey one I am not a fan of either, especially that no matter how much I end up flattening it, it is made to have wrinkles. It somwhow ends up on the bed all the time as well haha. I hear you when you say that basement is a bit far from everything. I end up running up and down non-stop when doing something down there.
Hi Jenia! I love seeing your gorgeous new home! Personally, I'd try to keep everything but hand soap and tissues on your master bathroom vanity. To save money (in the long run) you can buy glass foaming hand soap dispensers, and just fill them ⅙ soap and the rest water, shake and mix and it works great. Saves a ton of soap, so you can buy the fancy kind since one bottle lasts forever. They sell the dispensers on Amazon, and I love mine!

You never need to apologize for talking about your new house or the differences or the getting used to things. Also do you like the vessel sinks in your master bath? We thought about getting those as we are in the slow process of renovating our master bath. I coudln't decide on them but would love the review of someone who has them.
Hi Jenia, I love watching your videos. You are such a great person. I love how you ae trying to unpack and clean and yet you stop to kiss your kids. That is so sweet. Your home is lovely and yes it is much work to maintain a yard and grass. We had a large yard when our kids were little. When they all grew up, we downsized and it is so much better for my husband who has a bad back these days. By the way, you mention about private spaces to escape from mom and wife life...lol We always had a small home with 4 kids, so there was no place to go so I waited until everyone went to bed just sit in my living room all alone. I called it my golden hour...It helped me with just winding down . We had a child with autism so we were so overwhelmed a lot. We all need time to just reflect on the days and just relax with reading or meditate. Whatever helps to have less stress. Have a great week.
Hello Michigan Grandma! 4 kids and a small home sounds like a challenge! Golden hour must have been truly golden at the end of each day. I'd probably need 3 of those at least. I have been learning to sit my kids down in the morning and get them an activity, while doing yoga. I noticed it has been helping my lower back pain. That is my meditation for now. No, I have received comments with ideas. Small couch is a good idea, that's what they had there when we were buying this house. I was thinking originally to have a storage bench under the window. I think it is such a great area to sit as long as the window is fully visible.
We keep the 2 cars in the garage but then that mean I use a tiny office room downstairs for storage. Stuff can get ruined in the garage, decorations ect

Hi Janna! If I were to ask my husband , he is not impressed with the Purple mattress, to him it does not perform for the money he spent on it. For me - I am comfortable , I probably would not care one way or the other. We are going to buy a king size bed in the future and I know my husband will buy a different brand mattress. I talk to the kids in russian as I can, however, I am the only russian around them and from my experience, kids like mine, who grew up in USA with russian parents, might speak little russian but their first language is definitely english. I keep the sheets for each room in that room! My linen closet is saved for towels, out of season duvets and comforters, bathmats and first aid/medical stuff. No more hunting for the right sheets for each bed. You are doing an amazing job!

I now have a spare bedroom when my eldest son moved out we painted the room & refreshed it so it's my place where I go.
