You did the best thing for Boris. I’ve had more dogs in the last 58 years than you could imagine. Lol We live in the country and most all of them are rescue dogs. I hope you don’t let that get to you. I think it was a win win for everyone. No one has the right to judge you anyway. God bless you and your family!💕

If you separate out what you think you will eat before it goes bad the day that he cooks the meat and then freeze the rest, it will make it so much easier when you're looking for an easy meal. You will have less waste and the meat will be frozen when it's the freshest. It can be a pain but it definitely seems much easier to do it the day that it's cooked.
Plus after you have it for a couple days it might not look appetizing anymore. But if you freeze it the same day and you look in the freezer in a few weeks and see you already have meat prepared it's really nice.

It’s wonderful you were able to find a good home for Boris. I know it is very hard. We had to do that with one of our dogs. We had five kids and he started nipping at other ppl when they came over. We were not able to correct that behavior and rather the. Some one get hurt, He went to live with my mom and it was a much better fit. They were completely best friends. He would get excited to visit us but he was very happy with her. And he finally passed away at age 16 and had a great life.

I'm sorry about the puppy, I hope all is well with him. It sounds like he is living his best life with your uncle. The rug I would turn and put about two feet under the side of the bed facing the door when you come into the room. I would keep the kids' toys in their bedrooms, declutter as much as possible. No kid needs so many toys. The rest I would put on a rotation. I would make the toy area into like a library, quite area of sorts. So you can have a place to relax. I would also lock that door so the kids don't go in there. One less space for you to have clean. Always ready for guests.

For the rug. Yes rotate it and move it under the bed up to but not under the bedside tables. Put it all the way to the wall on the window side of the bed so that when getting out of bed on that side, your guest is stepping onto the rug. This will also make the guest area feel more like it's own area. Where the rug is now it looks more like it's being used as a pathway and extension of the playroom.
As far as the puppy, it must have been surprising for you to realize how much he imprinted on your heart. It's so hard to make the decision to re-home a pet, but it does sound like a good situation for him. I would recommend waiting until your uncle feels that Boris has fully bonded with him and is in a routine of going everywhere with him. Seeing him too soon will confuse Boris when he does not get to go back home with you and he may become depressed at that point. Once he is happy in his new home and bonded to his new owner, he will be happy to see you all, but he will have developed more love and loyalty to his new daddy. Then when you get to dog sit him, it will be fun for Boris to get to spend time at your place, but be happy to go back home when your uncle returns for him.

I agree that bedrooms should be for sleeping or quiet time. Nice that you had a family member that could give Boris a good home. I don’t think it will be too confusing for him to visit with you for a few days now and then. He will get used to the change and enjoy going back and forth in time. I think you should turn the rug and center it in the room and let the bed be on it. 😊

That's a great idea. My daughter and her husband took the regular door off, when their twins were young. and went to home depot and bought a wooden screen door that was sort of stylish and put that up during that period of time when you wanted to keep them safe in their room to play but not feeling closed off. It worked really well and looked nice too.

As the older kids will probably be playing with smaller toys like Legos and Barbie shoes, this may mean a choking hazard for the twins until they are older. I think keeping the baby toys in the Twin's room is the better option for now, and not allowing the twins in the playroom until they are older and beyond the choking danger..
Leave the rug where it is, if you move it under the bed it will only collect dustbunnies.
It will be harder with the babies to vacuum under the bed, I hope you make it easier on yourself.
On the stained pot, try making a paste of baking soda & water, rub the stain with it. It does work for coffee/tea stains on cups so maybe it will work for your pot.
The baking soda paste is also good for bee stings.

  • @miminana-hd6nf

Hi, Jenia, you look amazing and I can't believe the energy that you have. I would put some sort of "screen" or "gate" between the play area and the guest area in that big room. It would help your kids keep their toys in just one area. I think people meant to turn the rug and put it under the bed, a little. I think it looks fine the way it is, though. We take out one trash bag a day, but a lot more in recycling so that cuts down on actual trash. While it is difficult to make the decision to rehome your pet, sometimes it is what needs to happen. You are having twins and will not be able to give the pup the attention he needs. Boris will be happy in his new home. He will get lots of attention and love with "uncle Jay". I make a chicken tortilla soup, which is similar to your taco soup. Great video.
