- We went to Oklahoma for a 5-day long class for Entrepreneurs. Unfortunately, it ended up being... more for startup business rather than already-established ones. So, we went to the Oklahoma Reptile Show instead!

😂I was thinking the same thing!😂
Same
Same 😂😂
I wonder if deep down Emily felt a little bad for skipping 🤔🤔
(I would maybe just a little 🤦🏻♀️- Goody Two-shoes having guilt party 🎉🎉)
I think this is the 2nd time they've snuck somewhere while prominently wearing their logo 😂
Xd
You just taught everyone not to fall victim to the sunk cost fallacy.
Shhh, I use that fallacy to get myself out of bed at O’ dark thirty to go on fishing trips.
Repeat offender here. ✋ 😞
@@salemshannon5417 same here
I just learned about this 2 weeks ago in class 🤣
@@ShaeBabii I recommend looking up a list of fallacies and Chesterton’s fence.
Emily & Ed leaving the workshop - 🎶🎵Don’t Be suspicious…don’t be suspicious. 🎶🎶
Except/ Emily was all kinds of suspicious. 😂😂
Yea, she needs to learn that as a grown-up, the best way to "sneak" into or out of places is by not looking like you are sneaking. Lol. Walk purposefully and quick, like you are in a hurry to just quickly do something and then just disappear. People are a lot less likely to take note of or remember that you were there if it seemed like you belonged and weren't bothered.
But Ed and Emily, please don't ever try to rob a bank or something. Y'all will get caught before you even start. 😂❤😂❤😂❤
literally all you need to do is walk out with a purpose. if you're still worried, walk out with a purpose while pretending to be taking a very important phone call.
@eflarsen good idea. Social norms have taught us not to interrupt people on important phone calls.
When you're the good kid you don't have v much experience not being suspicious 😂 (and/or when else do you play mission impossible?)
Tbh it's not easy to start a business. However, they got a manager already with a team of employees to look after the zoo/shop when they go to reptile shows so they're good. Tho if we're being honest, Emily is a lot better at it than ed. Tho it helps she's doing programs with her animals(which is at least a small business). Entrepreneurship can be a class that you can take, but it's better you know absolutely nothing about it. Clearly Emily and ed are very used to it.
You said Lavender and Toffee and the only thing I could think was Laffee Taffy...
Omg I'm sure they don't call it Laffy Taffy but they TOTALLY SHOULD
If Emily ever gets to name a morph, there will be candy involved.
New morph name alert
Long as the copyright isnt an issue…
“Lavey Taffy” lol
The road work ahead joke made me laugh, I didn't think anyone still quoted vines lol
Have you seen my Barries??
That was my favorite vine
@@soralover2005 "OH MAH GAH! i think i found mah berreeez! **mlem** PFFHPP! not mah berreez
My generation (I'm 25) definitely does. Vines will never die! If you want an fb group to join that's dedicated to vines, I recommend "a group where you can only quote vines". It's great lol 10/10
STAHP! I almost dropped my croissant :(
My advice for finding resources to learn about running business and HR management is to reach out to your local college/university department of business. University professors are usually very passionate nerds who love any reason to talk about their subject. If they can't help you directly for some reasons, they can definitely recommend you some sort of resources to help you. Or go to a university library, they have so many random books that people use like once every decade. You are bound to find one on management.
At my local community college, we have a thing called SBC, small business center. It helps with creating, managing, guiding, financing, and so so so much more. They offer many different kind of seminars (usually an hour or two usually not more) so I definitely recommend looking for local colleges that can help a little more.
Heck yeah! Boost for this!
Your local community college might offer certificates related to business as well.
Thanks for this info!
Simon T Reptiles was READY for you with that 'I'll be in minneapolis' xDDD
"I've never skipped class before" 😂 made me laugh so hard. Must have been quite the mental barrier. It's ok Emily, you've already passed that class and it's recess. Glad you got to have a cool adventure.
I’m so glad I was able to meet you both!!! For clarification, only the Bedre products are Oklahoma based! I hope you enjoyed all the goodies! ❤
Luckily I got to meet them last year in DFW. Otherwise I would have been very upset that I missed this. Especially since I went to college up there and still have friends there.
I lowkey scrolled through the comments just to find you! Lol lucky!!! I can’t wait to meet them!!!!!
As a Tulsan I lol'ed when you said "does God hate tulsa?"
The answer is yes.
I live an hour away from Tulsa and can say, I dread having to go within a 10 mile radius of it. Idk anyone who likes it, lol
My first thought as well
What's wrong with Tulsa? Besides the usual generalized hate everyone has for regional cities, etc.
I helped a friend move from Tulsa back to KS & I can honestly say I have no desire to go back to Tulsa
@@mgk2020Tulsa has an unusually high crime rate, and is notorious for the very serious hate crimes. The rest of Oklahoma is fine.
Don't skip school, kids! (You were so close to where I am, I hope you had a great time!)

You two are so funny. It is a bit disappointing to attend a workshop that you think teaches one thing but really is aimed in a different direction. Been there, done that. Glad you had a good time and loved learning about the Strange Morph. Thanks Ed & Emily.
Lmao, it's like watching kids do their first cutting class
I love how you invite people into your world without resorting to clickbait! You are a major inspiration!
I love it!! They have never clickbaited us. They are so honest and real.
As a native Oklahoman, I died when emily asked if the crazy lightning was an omen.. lol nope ridiculous weather is our thing! we could have crazy storms, earthquakes, blizzards, 100°+ weather and that’d just be the weekend 😂
I'm so glad I asked if I could join the "cool kids" table. Thank you so much for making the event special for me and taking care of me. It was also not what I expected but at least I got to meet you guys and other great people. The experience was very memorable to say the least. Looks like your day was super fun.
I am so proud of you both. You do really well, already. I have extensive business and management experience... HR side of things and people management is one of the most challenging parts of your business.
From what they mentioned in their last video (having to let their creator go due to subpar husbandry) they're definitely getting into some of those much more challenging aspects of running a business
You are both 100% accurate. We're learning every day!
@@SnakeDiscoverygoing from sole proprietors to employers has to be a change for you. I imagine there are hr companies and consultants you can hire to help manage the people side.
“The stranger overpowers the clown”-this made my son lol big time!😂
Dang, I'm sorry the management conference wasn't what y'all were looking for. I've been to one before and they can be hit or miss. I hope you find something else that will give you the training you're looking for.
Self-paced online courses are the way to go!
THEY'RE NOT FOR EVERYONE!!!!!!! If you're like me and have a really tough time holding yourself accountable for stuff, don't take one! Seriously if I was in one of those, I feel like I would literally never get anything done.
@@lisachiappetti6092 Then you likely arent going to be running a business anyway XD
@@joking2052 Distance learning isn’t for everyone. Doesn’t make you a bad businessperson, it just means you do better with face-to-face learning.
You shouldn't feel guilty skipping a class that you paid for and found out it wasn't for you. Your time is valuable and you spent it doing something very productive...NETWORKING....which is probably one of THE most important things to do in business!
I am just finishing up my business management diploma. Honestly, you guys do a lot right. You have a good brand identity. You advertise well. You listen to feedback. HR is hard. and honestly it is subjective.
As a professor (uni Lecturer) of management skills, I congratulate you on making a good decision. You are not newbies in management and the fact that your business is continuing and your staff are happy and passionate is an indication of good management (despite all the challenges hidden in the background). Good not adhering to sunk cost fallacy. Do what is best for you and your business. I use you guys as an example of following passion in my Leadership and Entrepreneurship class (I hope thats OK). Love all your posts and I'm addicted to Ally, Rex and Busty Rhonda (and of course Chyanne)
The trick to making people ignore you is to walk confidently like you are where you're supposed to be and you know where you're going. You'd be surprised how many places you can get into/out of using that trick. 😂
Thank you for sharing at age 73 I truly learned something this morning 3:AM Saturday morning.😮
I got my first snake from Simon T reptiles! Theyre super cool and ive seen them expand in their collection over the years!
that Latoffee was so pretty! even on camera the colors were so striking
OMG I WAS THERE!! Can't believe I didn't see y'all! I hope everyone treated you well!
Welcome to oklahoma. The weather is never predictable.
One day we can have summer, winter, autumn, and spring.
Hail is common, be careful ❤
Same with Missouri. Nothing like a flash freeze on a 70° day
It's so funny that you posted this while I'm ditching a college class 😂
(Presentations and anxiety)
I've never been invested in a RUclips channel for so long. You guys are the best! 💖
Same - been watching since they were filming on their kitchen counter and I will still drop everything to watch their vids.
@@sladiewolf Omg sameee
Same. I'm so proud of them lol
This is a great channel cuz Emily and Ed are nice, and when you are nice, then nothing but nice happens to you (well, mostly, but into every life a little rain must fall!). I wish I lived near them, I’d love to work there!
I have two snakes because of you, i can't even think of what my life would be like if you didn't have a channel
I've been watching you for 4 years now
Same here, lol!
me too! :)
Instead of going to brain draining workshops that usually have NOTHING to do with your specific business, You may want to consider doing what I did.....I went to SNHU (Southern New Hampture University) and got my bachelor's in Business Managwment with a concentration in entrepreneurship. It was a GAME CHANGER for me.
Most those workshops are scams as is, i's better to go to a college then a "workshop". It's less brain draining and you actually get breaks and focus on what you need to learn.
They have online classes, don't they? Great idea!!
@@rebeccacamacho-sobczak4282 They absolutely do!! That's the only reason I was able to do it...8 earned mine while driving my truck.
'Why is it cold, Oklahoma is just north of Texas' Much of north and even central Texas get cold in the winter, probably not nearly as much now as 15-20 years ago. :p
Sounds like the business thing was a bust, nice that there happened to be a reptile show nearby :3
I cut one period in high school, had a panic attack, and cried to the teacher while ratting myself out the next day. She laughed and told me I get one free pass and practically begged me to go sit in my seat😂
Lol if it ain't broke don't fix it. The snakes are all beautiful... But WOW that brief shot of the frogs!!!
If you find yourself in Ok City again, and you like American West History you have to see The Cowboy Hall of Fame. I have seen it 3 times in my life. Once as a kid, once at 19, and once in my 30s. The Russel artwork that they have is amazing as well as several other Western artist. It was a delight no matter what age I went.
Happy to call Tim a good friend great animals and person!
Oh Jason is in this video too another great breeder love seeing both at shows when we all vend.
You were so close to me!! Oklahoma weather sucks and changes so drastically. The conventions here are HUGE and get crowded so quickly, but it looks like it isn't too crowded when yall were there! I hope you guys had fun in Oklahoma!
A fun little video, I hope you had fun in the west.
When it comes for help with management styles/business running stuff, you can probably find someone locally who would come in for a week and observe, tell you to fire too many people, but also give you some good advice specific to your area
When a class is so boring you gotta skip out for a reptile show instead. Great vid!
Okay but I’m glad yall are getting to go to a show for fun and not just strictly work. Yall deserve to just enjoy the hobby yall love. Ya made a video and that’s technically work but hopefully it was fun overall and a break
Fun fact: The musical Oklahoma ! takes place in Claremore, a town just East of Tulsa. It’s a really nice town with tons of things to do. And, if you’re into The Pioneer Woman, her Mercantile, studio and Ranch are in Pawhuska, just a little NW of Tulsa. It’s a neat place to visit and I highly recommend having breakfast at her restaurant, next to the Mercantile. ❤
Oh my gosh! Thank you for sharing this! I love the Pioneer Woman. I will be in the area visiting family, this on the list!
You two are very educated on what you are doing. Also you explain things very well, I love your commentary!❤❤❤❤
I love all your videos. I'm so excited for all your new adventures. Love you guys xoxo ❤❤.
Why am I not surprised that Ed had 'escaping school' shenanigans when he was younger?
Lmao the skipping out of the small business classes in the beginning & finding a reptile show 2 go 2 instead had me lol irl 😂😂😂
Oh dear those stranger morph ball pythons are just too precious and way outside my budget.
Save the cash. They are beautiful!
my old hog was a toffee belly, but one pattern i haven't seen people talk about enough is jag, which he had
That is Ok for you. Don’t like the weather wait 5 minutes and it will change. Can be a blizzard one minute and the next be in the 70’s and sunny or even raining
That is how the whole 4 state area is. I live in Missouri, we say the same thing.
I've heard that a lot here in Colorado too.@@evefarrel
I'm in socal and while the weather is "nice" sometimes I'd like a bit of weather like that to break the monotony of months and months and months of 80 degree days.
Michigan says it, too.
Same in southern Illinois
Thanks for visiting my home state of Oklahoma 😊 Wish I had of known you were visiting bc I really would have loved to of seen you in person 👍🏻
This is great so far! I can't wait to see more educational content from you guys!

Welcome to the south! It’s cold and the lightening is fierce. ❤
The big escape was SO funny. That’s gonna become known as the snake discovery run away or something like that lol😂
I love you guys and your videos. it is so cool that you went to a reptile show instead of sitting in a room for 3 hours. I just started watching and I love you so much.
The beginning of this video made MY DAY. It’s my favorite vine 🤪🤣
Simon T Reptiles is so cool! Would love to see him on the channel again in future! 💜

I got a bullsnake (albino white side het hypo) from simon T a year ago from a reptile sow where i live. I was so surprised to see him in the blog all the way in oklahoma.
I’d have driven from Tulsa to OKC to meet you! I’m learning to be “ok” with snakes through your videos!
OK, as in Oklahoma!?
I'll stop now, I just love puns :)
Ahhh! I've been to the Albanese factory in Indiana! So cool to hear the shout out

OMG I'M OBSESSED WITH THE STRANGER MORPH 😍😍
Great to know there is a reptile show in Oklahoma. Sorry for the bad experience in tulsa but everyone feels that way after being here 😂 me included
Javanise is a cool name. And Tulsa is too muggy hot in the summer.
Yeah another reptile show! The first table you visited I love so many of the hognoses. Then the Stranger morph snakes were so beautiful. I'd have a hard time picking one out but the Stranger clown morph was so beautiful. Great call you guys for slipping out to the show. I look fwd to your next adventure!❤
It's nice to see you come to Oklahoma, I've lived here for all my life. Also the weather is just like that in Oklahoma. I remember one day it was like 90°f outside and the next day it was around 40°f. I hope you have a good day. (:
