I almost cried when I saw Collin's letter and recognized his handwriting, I knew him and he was my best friend. I knew he watched Snake Discovery but never knew he sent fanmail. He passed away a few months ago. 😢

Precisely. Also, the difference between real fresh toothsome delicious pillowy turkish delight and the stale chocolate coated stuff is huge. AND Edmund hadn't tasted hardly any sugar in YEARS- Wartime Rationing. So imagine a snow queen offered you a giant Reese's PB Cup when you hadn't had chocolate in like two years, AND you didn't know it was enchanted to make you want it and to make you tell her everything about whatever she asks. It's like that.
Yep even without rationing, smthn like Turkish delight would be v rarely experienced- if at all.
And that is why we don’t accept candy from strangers…

Life hack:
Swirl the chocolate umbrella into a hot cup of milk and add one tsp of sweetener/sugar.

I’ve been obsessed with these vids for a year. I’ve never been a reptile person. You changed my mind so I just got my first snake today! A 5 year old corn snake, called Salazar. I think we already love each other cos he’s content wrapped around my arm and was happy enough to eat a jumbo mouse straight away! Thanks for converting me!! 🐍

I went to Canada on a class field trip when I was 12. Our French teacher (it was a French class field trip) had already brought us some ketchup flavored chips before, so we had a van full of sixth graders craving ketchup flavored chips and eagerly awaiting our grocery store dinner trip. The store had only two bags left. Thankfully my sister was able to grab one of them and shared it with our family. I don't even like ketchup normally but ketchup flavored chips are so good.
Wow! Such amazing gifts!!!!! I am a Canadian and I agree that Cadbury chocolate from England is THE BEST, and I was really surprised you hadn't heard of Maltesers. They're basically the same thing as Whoppers. And Ed, I agree 100% that ROBOTS is a great film!
Disagree! Maltesers are SUPERIOR to Whoppers! Whoppers taste sour and gross whereas Maltesers are chocolatey and creamy.

If you’re reading this, Emily and/or Ed, I just want to let you guys know that you got me into reptiles with your egg videos, and I’ve been watching you through your journey of building your facility since the start. You’ve opened my eyes to these adorable creatures, so I must thank you. My boyfriend and I plan to go on the herpetology weekend coming up, and I’m so excited.

The conversion kits would be great to have online - I’d been looking for something like that a few years ago and wasn’t able to find them. You guys get so many people into exotics that they would be able to find them through you. I’d LOVE to get those tank labels, too!!

All dressed is the best kind. It's hard to find them in MN but some summers it appears. It's sour cream and onion, salt and vinegar, ketchup and I believe BBQ flavor

BTW you should try more traditional turkish delight. Very sweet, sticky and soft almost like a jelly. I think the most traditional flavour is rose which is nice. They're usually coated in powdered sugar. Would recommend.

I held my first snake a few weeks ago always wanted to I’m 26 but parents are scared of them and growing in the South a lot of them are harmless 38 species but only 6 venomous but it was the best feeling in the world.
Legit love all snake discovery videos just because Emily and Ed are so cool and relatable. Never have had a reptile pet but they made me fall in one with snakes 🥰🐍

OHHHH! Edward from the Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe ate some bewitched Turkish Delight, but REAL Turkish Delight is light years better than that stuff in the "Big Turk" candy. REAL Turkish Delight isn't that scary, bright pink colour either.....and it isn't covered in chocolate. It's usually dusted with icing sugar, or rolled in chopped nuts.

Emily - if you're looking for puppets for your learning space, look into Folkmanis puppets. I remember once, at Adelaide Zoo, I was carrying around a newly-bought alligator puppet, with my hand inside it (carrying it on my other arm), and people thought I had a live alligator out in the zoo. It was awesome.
They are incredibly realistic. I have the chameleon puppet and you can move its eyes from the inside so they point all around the place.
