I love the color of this Hemingway Chic Sparrow. I always wanted to get a passport and a narrow in it, but they were always out of stock in those sizes so I never got one. It looks like a big beautiful fern leaf.
John Rush I think they’ve been experiencing shipping delays on leathers due to COVID, but I think they will come back at some point, so hopefully you can get one of your sizes. PS, I love your channel!
As a first time TN (passport) owner I found this video helpful and inspiring. When you spoke throughout the video it was relaxing, fun and interesting, kinda like hanging out with a friend. Subscribed :)
I could never do B6 (currently in an A5) but I adore your set up! And I have and love that pen as well. Though I don't keep mine in the pen loop because I'm scared of the cap coming loose in my purse.
I think it's wonderful that you are committed to the B6slim. Has it always been that way for you? If I had 3 wishes, I think one would be to find planner peace when it comes to size. Bouncing back and forth between sizes takes a lot of the joy out of this hobby. Anyway, enjoying your videos! Hope you are well and healthy.
Thank you! I hope you are well and healthy too. When I first got into travelers notebooks, I tried a variety of sizes, but pretty quickly gravitated towards the B6 slim for my everyday journaling. It could be because I started out in a narrow and B6 slim is just a shorter version of narrow and is much more portable. My recommendation would be to think about the notebooks that you enjoy writing in and go with whatever size those notebooks fit in. Size preference is very personal, so, for better or for worse, you just need to find out what you gravitate towards. I still use other sizes for different things too, so there are a lot of options.

Nice job - my first time at your channel. I believe I'm the only one who doesn't like the Lamy 2000. I bought one years ago (btw, I've used fountain pens my entire life; for reference, I'm 62) and gave it the old college try. I eventually sold it to someone who loves it. The reason I don't like it is the nib is very small. I write a LOT (I journal). For long writing, the nib feels flimsy to me. Fragile. And so I just couldn't like it. I have a couple of the vanishing point pens and struggle with them for the same reason. Teensy tiny. Again, I'm in the minority. People generally love both brands. But I thought I'd mention why I don't like this pen so someone else can see another perspective before investing.
maryhazlett thanks! I have discovered that what fountain pen works for each person is very personal, so thank you for sharing your thoughts. What is your favorite fountain pen? I also really like the vanishing point and notice that I prefer gold nibbled fountain pens. Do you prefer steel nibs?
@@MysteryArts oh I think everyone prefers gold! They write the smoothest and are the most expensive! I've had really expensive pens (over $1000) and really inexpensive pens - look up "shark fountain pens" on Amazon or Goulet) and like both ends (of course the expensive ones have gold nibs). As for inexpensive ones, I really like TWSBI over Lamy. In the TWSBI I like a fine nib. If you get a TWSBI or Lamy Safari/All Star, try a Stub nib. Makes your handwriting look like calligraphy! I suggest a Lamy Joy in a stub nib. (small pen shops are unfortunately going on hiatus now, but you can get brands I listed above on Amazon).
@@maryhazlett I have several TWSBIs in a variety of nib sizes and really like them all--they are my favorite steel nib fountain pens. I've tried the Lamy Safari and All Star and am not much of a fan--I have a real problem with hard starts, even with the stub nib. I'll take a look at shark fountain pens--thanks for the recommendation!
Nicole Fallo it will probably fit, but you would have some extra space side to side. I’ve only tried it in a B6 e-class from chic sparrow and it fit with extra room. But you can use the extra room to store pens out of the way.
Hello to anyone that sees this; I hope you are well😀 Does anyone know if that Julian Alps Hemingway is corresponding to the Austen Col. Brandon? I'm LOVING that green. I agree with John Rush, it looks like a lovely leaf. Thanks for the video. Have an awesome day!
Hi! And welcome to my channel:) You are correct that the Julian Alps is the Hemingway version of Col. Brandon. Both are lovely, but I think I prefer the Julian Alps.
@@MysteryArts Hi! Thanks for the response. I think I need one in my life 😍 I'm debating if I should get a folio or wait and hope for a restock for a larger size. Decisions!
I put x’s on the days I have migraines (1-3 for the severity). I circles the x’s if I wake up with the headache. And then I note any medication taken that day for the headache with the abbreviation for the med. I think that’s all I take note of.

I think you said, that you can't use a fountain pen on a Jibun Techo. I don't use the biz, but I use the normal one and fountain pens work lovely.
Oh no-you can definitely use fountain pen on the jibun techo. If that is what I said I definitely misspoke.
Im new to Traveler Notebooks. I have a regular b6 TN. Thanks for the ideas.

Aw, thanks--I'm glad you found it helpful. And we could all use some relaxing right now, so I'm happy to help on that front too!
Oh, and passport is a great size! It is a size that is in my regular rotation as a wallet.
I love B6 slim as well. Just ordered the new folio in this same color. Can not wait to receive it. Great video! 😊
Thank you! Hope you love your new folio! I've been really loving this particular leather color.

So far so good on my pen staying in the cap, but things are usually kept pretty tight in my bag.

That is a beautiful TN. I like the greens a lot. I’d love to see a video on the process of filling a fountain pen. 😀

Nice setup! Gorgeous Sparrow!!!
Do you just put the techo and the cafe note on the strings like you would regular TN inserts? TIA!
Yes, I just put them on the strings like regular TN inserts.
@@MysteryArts Thank you! I've been nervous to do that with the Cafe Note--I didn't want to tear up my pages :)
@@redforrori the cafe notes has held up great and it’s been in this setup for over a year. The Jibun Techo however, needed some help eventually.
