Kenma is a good lesson in training. He knows he’s not the best at the workouts and doesn’t try to be, but he always finishes. At the end of the day, the only person that you have to beat is your previous self.
@@HarshReviews If I were to compare Kenma to another anime character, I would compare him to Shikamaru from Naruto. They're lazy, unmotivated, and scarily smart.
He is the definition of someone that can love something a lot but also still do really well at something that at first doesn't peek your intrest till later. I'm so glad there is a character like Kenma
Honestly think Kenma and Nekoma could have been the main characters for this show, like they are written so well and I love the friendship between them all. These episodes were so awesome to see in the season and I love that it's kinda hinted that Kenma dyes his hair blonde to match his friend as we see that Taketora dyed his first. Can't wait for the Nekoma and Karasuno match to be animated cause it is for sure one of the best matches in the entire manga. Keep up the great work on the videos man!! And maybe we see one on Tendo soon?
@@dontask9000 yeah I checked them out, they are really good. They show how they qualified for nationals and you get some more depth on the squad like with lev and the 2nd libero
Adding onto the conversation above, you should really read the manga of Land vs Air, since the anime adaption cut out like 90% of the stuff from the manga
a moment that really got me was in the manga (SPOILERS) when the trash can battle finally happens, and nekoma looses. it was generally just super emotional for me, because i love nekoma and karasuno both a lot. but the biggest thing was when nekoma lost, and kenma was lying on the ground, exhausted, but smiling. he says, “that was fun”, or something like that. i don’t quite remember. but it really showed his growth as a character, from someone who plays just to win, to someone who plays to win, but also enjoys just playing.
as someone who really loves nekoma's playstyle and nekoma as a team, this analysis on kenma made me understand him a bit more, specifically with the points that i didn't get before when i first watched the fourth seasom of haikyuu. thanks for the video!!
Kenma is that type of friend who would never say no to your stupidest idea but won't say yes either, he will just do it with you, for better or worse, as long as it's fun. Another great video!
Can’t hate Nekoma such a good team with great characters with there almost mirror image of some ov the characters from karasuno but still being great individuals. Great vid as always man 👍🏻
man, you're really good at analyzing and interpreting their actions and characteristics into words. I love how you explained it very well and relatable to the real-life situations. I realized that kenma and I have similarities, where we just don't know why we keep on doing something we're not REALLY passionate about at first, and also, I hate losing. kenma is such a great inspiration. he's really a genius, and I want to learn from him.
Thank you! Kenma is a great character to learn from, even though he might not seem it. I love it when people can relate to these characters haha it’s so cool!
One of my favorite lines in all of haikyuu is Kenma just shouting 《Tora!》 while sending him a pass after the flash back were he told Kenma that's what his friends call him or at the end of the match were he says he can work hard and push himself for his friends letting show that not only he thinks they're a good team, he genuinely trusts them and considers them his friends
I loved this too!! It was such a great depiction of how their friendship developed after seeing they clearly didn’t like each other in the beginning of the flashback.
From Brazil, I have to say: I'm really happy that this Channel It growing faster and faster, great content, as a volleyball player, these analysis are Just on point

Kenma’s arc, Kenma’s character is actually a goofy one, however, he didn’t actually show it. We see his goofy side and smile, when he becomes a youtuber and a ceo. He watches the match between MSBY Black Jackals vs shwieden adlers. He admires the skills of both the setters. (Spoilers for the manga)
i love kenma, his growth, and his dynamic with the rest of nekoma (especially tora and shohei (fukunaga)). kenma is the logical one, tora's the emotional one, they're on both extremes, but their friendship and rivalry is the balance, and shohei is the mediator who keeps said connection balanced! shout out to shohei btw he's such a funny guy

I loved this review! Kenma is one of my favorite characters of the show, and his lessons and personality are such cool things. Maybe analyze his wonderful captain and best friend next? (Kuroo Tetsurou)
9:16 aaaand now you've gone and taught me something about myself xD I'm similar to kenma in that I'm very logical/methodical, and pretty introverted. As you were saying what kenma did wrong, I was thinking you were gonna say "he didn't think about how HE was saying it", as that's what I would think I did wrong in kenma's position. But no, it's not about kenma/me, its how the other person is feeling... also, turns out this is another dynamic for me to relate to lol. the logical kenma and the hard-working taketora, two sides that I try to use when I play yet again, you saw the show from a different perspective than I did :D great vid as usual man another thing, great job keeping the analogy/theme running throughout the video, of the extra step. I'm surprised the creators didn't use that same idea in their wording, at least for the titles. its a really good analogy for kenma, especially compared to hinata who always took that extra step, even from the start. they might have used it in the actual episode/manga, cant remember lol
I always love it when people can relate to these characters, it makes it that much more nuanced. I'm glad you enjoyed the theme of the video, I tried my best to make it make sense haha. Thanks for the comment :)
Being an INTP I always found to weird that I could relate to Kenma. In high school I didn’t care for weightlifting, running track I would be on my phone constantly playing gachas and TCGs, whenever I hate doing something or find something boring I take the easy way out, and I’m someone who hates exerting lots of energy towards things that I have no interest for. Gaming, Anime, Manga, TCGs, Reading, Music, these are things I appreciate the most, it also sucks that I’m not a people person as I generally dislike talking to people or just being forced into doing something. Perhaps I should watch Haikyuu and learn from this anime. If putting in effort into everything really does make a difference, then I guess that should be one of my beliefs.
I just want to be like kenma's friend I want to be good at something to be able to enjoy it so much but I don't want to be like a leader put directly in the spotlight
Kenma is the soul reason why I want to be a setter. I relate to Kenma so much. Kenma isn’t very athletic, I’m athletic but I have no stamina. Kenma is amazing
I got this video recommended to me after watching the movie, and the movie really rounds off Kenma's character so well when it comes to taking a match seriously and how it reflects his appreciation of people around him 😭
If this isn't an amazing way to develop and unpack a character throughout the seasons I don't know what is Kenma to me has the best development arcs throughout the seasons
I binged watched on all your videos and I think it's really great on what you are doing. Anime is often overlooked because it's just so called another form of cartoon but people don't realise the message they bring about. Especially haikyuu. There is no special plot about haikyu but every episode keeps you on the edge because you just want to see what happens next. I think that Haruichi Furudate did an excelled job really because its one of those anime/ manga that is so human-like. It encompasses all the qualities and traits, the thoughts, thr progress of our community. What we all go through but fail to see clearly. The amount of diverse people, how they leave a stamp in the world is really fascinating and you can see that through haikyuu. Honestly when I first started watching anime this series was the one I was recommended. I wouldn't say I liked it at first. Season 1 seemed slow and boring to me until it got to the training camp and saw karasuno's growth. That's when I was reeled into the whole series. I'm not sure if many haikyuu fans realise this or they simple like it for the very attractive players(if I do say so myself haha) but the element of reality is very strong. It unknowingly gives a sense of hope and the hardships you have to face but at the same time that determination that you can do it. There are soo many great lessons to learn from in haikyu and its really great you are making these commentaries for others to realise as well Lots of love :)
