This is the kind of girl you date and continually have a talk to her about fighting with your colleagues wives at dinner. Fun, sexy but complete pain in the ass socially. Eventually you really feel her insanity when you have to start ghosting her because you can't deal anymore, and realize she's insane.
One of Hollywood's most underrated baddies for the longest time. She's going to look amazing even in her 70s..

I didn't realize this iconic interview is so old already, or, that Dave was so recently on the air. It feels like he's been gone forever, but then again, so does good TV.
That's the truth, esp for late night talk shows. And, I'm not talking about the politics, which I agree with, for the most part. Although, some do get carried away with that. I mean the overall quality has slipped, significantly. And, too many damned ads!
Imho.
On the bright side, one can still watch Dave on Netflix. And, Aubrey has developed into the wonderful actress, that I knew was fairly inevitable. She is also quite fetching.
Good TV? That's debateable. Saw Dave live in studio during a taping. He's a hack at best. The whole process of The Late Show was a lesson in how to pump an audience to laugh at the dumbest things. If you saw it live then watched it the subsequent nights on TV it quickly lost its allure as you knew the secret sauce.
@@kraquin I hate to break it to you John but that's show bizz. You'd have seen the same with any show that taped in front of a live studio audience. Seinfeld, SNL, The Price is Right, Carson, Conan, Leno, the list goes on. Do you not think they're wringing the audience harder than a 50 cent towel at the tapings for Fallon and Kimmel? Do you think Seth Meyers has them sizzling like bacon in a pan? That's just the reality and while I'm sorry the experience didn't live up to your expectations I do miss things like this interview with Ms. Plaza, or the bits with Rupert Jee or even the occasional Top Ten List. Was it perfect? No. But is anything?

That’s what all shows are like. Letterman probably didn’t have much energy like in the 80s but he was always known to be a loner and during the commercial just did his own things.

Dave is an amazing conversationalists there were many times where the topics could have taken a wrong turn and he would walk the line and then pull it back. They didn’t get in a rhythm though, you could tell at the end it felt like it ended super abruptly. His pacing was a little off for her jokes.. her comedy counts on shocking comments and awkward silences… works but Dave would fill the empty voids too quickly.
Should’ve treated it the way he did Joaquin Phoenix
David Letterman always struggled on what to do with smart women, particularly once metoo kicked off. Likely helped contribute to the retirement decision.

@@seeker_-_ - If she’d eat and put on about 30lbs she’s easily a 9 to 10. For me, it’s her typical Hollywood, skin and bones body that ruins it. She looks so much better when she’s thick. She has a beautiful face and her personality is putting her a couple of numbers upward.

Wow this is 7 years old already. Dirty Grandpa is a great comedy.
That was one of the few times Dave talked about his alcoholism on the show. I don't know if the audience thought he was joking.
He talked about it quite a bit on the show and in interviews.
It's not like everybody around you doesn't know the truth so you might as well admit it and maybe make some difference for somebody...maybe yourself. Dried Out could not stand it. I got a ways to go but I really don't mind if my creator ends it today. Been a hard ride for 62 years. 47 if you count when I started. Accomplished everything I wanted and tired of all the drama. My only question is did I make any kind of difference and will anyone miss me. The answer to that question you will never know.
@@hankkingsley9300 The way I see it, if you devoted some of your time to people around you, you have made a difference. As for people missing you, I agree you can't know. But that isn't a concern for me.
