I remember watching the first episode and me and my friends were hanging out and then the Clayton Bigsby skit came on. What a way to start off one of the best shows ever. That cemented dave Chappelle as one of the funniest comedians ever in my opinion.
Charlie was a gentleman. I saw him at SFO, and I nodded, and he waved back. The flight was delayed and I was sitting across from a woman and her 12 year old soon. We got to talking I said Charlie Murphy is sitting over there with a small group. The kid went up to him and asked for his autograph. He couldn't be nicer. RIP Charlie 🙏
I can't imagine how it feels for Eddie these days, Charlie really looked out for him and was there for him so much during his career. RIP Charlie Murphy but also my thoughts are with Eddie cause I dread losing my big brother like that

I grew up with people far richer than me in and one of my friends in high school in the 1980s had divorced parents. His father lived in L.A. and was a big wig in the music business. My friend would spend summers in LA and a few times I went to visit him. He had connections, so he could get us into the clubs, despite being underage. I never met Rick James, but my friend claimed to have met him, and told me stories about how crazy he was. I always thought the stories were bullsh*t, until I heard Charlie Murphy telling his stories decades later.
Man, Charlie was a helluva story teller. This shit never gets old. May God rest his soul.
