Omg omg. I remember this airing on Showtime in the 80s back when there were only 4 movie channels and 15 or so basic cable channels! Malcolm McDowell scared the crap out of me! Look at these veteran actors! Wow! Thank you for this walk down memory lane! ❤️
Miss Kitty when this was aired in India in 1990, it was shown on the only channel available - the Government run Doordarshan channel. I was 4/5 years old at the time and I don't remember much except that the visual cinematography was of extreme high quality and I used to be scared and thrilled at the same time. I didn't know the name of this series and I grew up thinking this was a Russian series 😄 because at that time we were tight with the Soviet Union. only a few weeks ago I found the name of this and here I am to appreciate this program now that I've grown up 😆
Malcolm McDowell is actually very sweet and endearing as Reginald Von Lupin, even though this isn't the first time he was an unwelcome quest in someone's house.
its so odd i fell in love with a walter and i still say dilly dally and i saw this when i was there in 1983! and right now i always wondered where i got the word . oh miss shelly you were my first nanny! and loved you in popeye when i was 4 ! the most beautiful shelly!
I like the Grimm Brothers' version of Little Red Cap a lot better with the Hunter saving Little Red Cap and her grandmother by cutting the wolf open, filling him with stones, and sewing him up.
@@Nina_Olivia Yes. This episode originally aired in 1983. They were married for ten years (1980-1990) and produced one son who is married to Phil Collins' daughter.
I like Charles Perrault's version of Red Riding Hood a lot better with the Woodcutter saving Red Riding Hood and her grandmother by beheading the Wolf with his ax and unlocking the closet.
This would is way too much haha and he was kinda scary in this one when he was getting ready to eat granny/riding hood!!! Also how old are Mary & Chris supposed to be? Isn't she a child lol
omg how the world has changed. these were the good old days. they will never make stuff like this again.
@spirals 73 yeessss! 3 little pigs my fave!😃
True. These are so wholesome and quite cheeky for adults in some cases lol:)
I loved this one! Malcolm McDowell is hilarious as the Big Bad Wolf!
*The Big Bad Wolf is like a high class suave and fun to watch😂❤*
Rest in peace Shelley Duvall
i love it when you can tell an actor is having a hell of a time hamming it up in a cheesy role. malcolm mcdowell is clearly having a ton of fun here.
I’m 27 and somehow this on VHS as a kid lol but I’m so glad i found it on here
Almost 43 here but still have my DVD collection of all these and always come back to watch ❤
The hangry wolf is so relatable as an adult.
Kids should watch these beautiful stories 🥰🥰

I think this is my favorite one in the series. Followed by the Frog Prince
Ghjuystephe
Classic ❤❤❤
RIP Shelley Duvall
Chris is so cute for Mary!! Lol
I can't believe that is Malcolm McDowell from "A Clockwork Orange".
Thanks for sharing! Although this was never a favorite one, its so great to see it again!
I Do Like That The Creative Team Had The Wolf Narrate The Story
If u watch once upon a time they had the story of little red riding hood on there
It was okay in OUAT.
I was waiting for Grandma to say 😮 "my FABRIC SCISSORS?!?!"
Tips to deal with strangers:
1. Scream "No!"
2. Run as fast as a cheetah!
3. Tell a grownup!
What is her parents telling her
Carry a pocket pistol in your purse!
Why do I remeber having this on vhs lol
I ship Red and Chris 😍😍😍
gave me nightmares as a child
Mcdowell and Steenburgen were married in real life the time this episode filmed.
Really?!!
@@Nina_Olivia Yes. This episode originally aired in 1983. They were married for ten years (1980-1990) and produced one son who is married to Phil Collins' daughter.
Interesting
Dean Wormer!
"There's another old saying, Senator: Don't piss down my back and tell me it's rainin'."
At 40:56 I always wanted to insert the theme from "Clockwork Orange". Viddy well, Granny...viddy well! 😆🤣
Malcolm and Mary were married at the time. They met a few years earlier on the set of Time After Time.
I like Charles Perrault's version of Red Riding Hood a lot better with the Woodcutter saving Red Riding Hood and her grandmother by beheading the Wolf with his ax and unlocking the closet.
😂
This is one of the weirder episodes.
wow cant believe i found this

Classic 🤗
So happy Gilmores grandma was little red riding hoods grandma too?, LOL
There are no good or bad animals or wolves. They just are. And each animal has its own unique role to play in nature.
Wish all the episodes were this funny.
They all have their charm.
Mary Steenburgen portrayed Miep Gies in The Attic: The Hiding Of Anne Frank
Hey, the man who plays Red Riding Hood’s Dad also was in “Fuzzbucket” and “Killer Klownz from Outer Space”!
He also played a corrupt congressman in the tv miniseries " North and South ".
And an episode of tales from the crypt!
I like The Sleeping Beauty in the Woods Ballet's version of Red Riding Hood a lot better with the Big Bad Wolf carrying Red Riding Hood off.
clara clayton
I think the lady who played the grandma was the same actress who played the grandma in The Snow Queen?
And the lady who played Red Riding Hood was Professor Brown's lady love in " Back to the Future 3 ".
No lol
the path to Granny's. hmmm... whatever could go wong/
Red riding hood is more like vagabond, ready to go out, ready to date, ready to cut woods. Like bruhhh huh
It's kind of charming considering she was sheltered her whole life, and Red make's a point that she is no longer a little girl but a young lady.
@0:34 lmao
this is impossible
They're called fairie tales for a reason..
Someone stole Granny's marble rye.
