Love Margaret River. We drive down from Perth a lot. Caves Road, the aquarium, Canal Rocks, Witchcliffe. So many great and quirky places.

Thanks for the tip about the fridge fan. I was never sure how good they worked until Bryce showed us your blue one. I bought one based on your experience, and wow, it has made a big difference. Even the cans and bottles in the fridge door are icy cold. Thanks for the tip. Your vids are excellent.

Hi guys, I live in Perth and every time we've gone to Hamlin, we've seen stingrays. I will say that over New Year, I met an elderly couple who'd been there over 10 times and had not seen a ray yet! The good part is that while we were chatting, I spotted a ray moving in to the beach. That ray was soon followed by a few more, so they got to see the rays.

Yeah a lot of old CP in WA are on non portable water, ( Hamelin bay CP water is non portable marked like that on WikiCamps )
that’s why I’ve got sink drinking tap to isolate from tank pump gives 190L of drinking water, and run non portable thru twin filters to van mains inlet water lines and with creek pump as well, gives longer stays
Hopefully you can get away from coastal and go inland.
If going north, then head up Midlands rd thru Moora to Gascoyne or Mt Augusta

For fridge de-icing try using a 40mm wide plastic paint scapper, takes 1min. Bunnings under $1.

You know how fisherman always say “you should have been here last week”, we were fishing at Hamelin Bay a few days after you left & saw a few rays, even accidentally hooked one. (It got away luckily).

Been to Hamelin bay numerous times as we live down that way and see rays every time we go, think you were just unlucky! Or maybe it’s the locals just telling you fibs!
You also drove past our family farm on the way to Colonial brewery, we seen it just as your google maps kicked in haha so cool.

The stingrays are there, you just need some food/fish for them to come in
Okay there was people in the water a few times but none ever came. I said we weren’t able to feed them unfortunately 😔🐟

Think that you will only get the rays around when plenty of boats are out, that is what they do around here.
When the boats are out must be a good enough day for the rays to come out of hiding 👍

You guys stayed literally 0.5km from where I live. And yeah colonial do terrible ipa. You should have gone to brown hill winery it’s like 3 k’s from where you stayed.
As for the stingrays they are always there, did you guys scare them off 🤣

We went in 2019 and it was brilliant wading in to the sea and have the sting rays swim right up to us !

The male twenty eight parrots/Australian ring necks have the red feathers on top of the beak. The females don’t have red feathers.

Time for a new fridge freezer guys
Nar it works perfectly fine actually. We only have to clean the freezer every 3 months roughly.
You’ll find lots of other people have similar experiences when travelling full time.
