- Loading up the T7 for a solo adventure in the deep south of Western Australia, I give the Dark Horse 2.0 a real adventure test through the sand. It's a challenging journey along the southern coastline and a true test of the mods I've made to this Yamaha Tenere 700.

I have to say you are truly a inspiration for me. I deal with depression and watching your videos really helps, honestly I have a ducati monster sitting in my garage with lots of miles and maintainence due but fi d myself wanting to explore more and the T7 seems to check the right boxes for me. I'm 54 and will try for a T7 maybe in another month or so. Please continue making awesome videos with your awesome self and want to grow up to be just like you someday..life is just throwing sand in my face so I just wanna go over it Instead for once..🙂
Such a great realisation mate. Get on your bike and make your life what you want it to be ... I think the T7 will help you do that.
Go for it. I am 55 and I have been suffering with long covid since Sept 21. I couldn't work for 7 months which meant I had to sell my beloved Suzuki DR750 so that I could pay the bills. Got back into work in May 22 and somehow the planets aligned combined with me selling some dormant projects and I managed to get a new world raid. It really picked me up and also helped with my symptoms. I managed to escape the UK on it for a week travelling in France and Belgium. It wasn't easy at times as my symptoms worsen in the afternoon. I managed to mostly ride in my safe window though and thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Can't wait to head off again in the spring👍
Dude do it 👍at 55 I just decided to pass my test and purchase the t7-WR first bike ever and she us something els fir sure ..all beat be safe buddy 😀👍
Yeah, go for it buddy. Time to throw some sand back. 💯
Thanks Adam for the video. Your place looks freaking beautiful. I am from France, I do many trips across Europe, we actually met at the European KTM adv rally in Bosnia in 2018 was very nice place to ride, a good ride memory for me ;). Anyway, I will really love riding same kind of places you show in the video. Riding in beautiful Australian forest, across the sea on the beautiful beach etc so could you please tell me which area, places or spots are in this video ? Thanks you Adam 🙏🏻
I wish you all the best and to keep us dreaming of adventure ! See u one day again 😉, Romain
'and always start on 2nd gear on the sand' ---> this will stick with me until the end of the riding days! Cheers Riemann!
Hi this was the best to hear from you, I was telling so many guys stuck in sand to use second and not many believed me.
it is the same sensation like my old Granpa used to tell me stories from his life. Same peace, same narration tone from the old strong generation. What an inspiration Adam you are. And I am sharing your channel with all my buddies MotoNerds here in Europe! They all end up like me.....unconditional admiration for you!
As always. Brilliant cinematography and a great story. At 62 I’m still allowed to have heroes! Great stuff!!
I'm not far behind you at 61, I'm having a blast on my T7.
I'm an armchair motorcyclist (worn out knees) of the same age fellahs and I echo the comments re outstanding production values of this vlog.
Another 60 here. Love watching adams videoing and riding. Don’t ya love WA.
Birchy from Rockingham.
62 is still pretty young mate, be the hero. I’m 67 next month and ride an enduro around South America and have done for years. Remember, these days 60 is the new 40. 👍
I’m 60 too, just found out Adam’s channel. That was inspiring. I started riding off road 2 years ago, now I’m learning how to ride deep sand here in Southern California. Saludos.
Adam, thanks for your ADV spirit and all the hard work and coord to bring us along. I’m stunned when I think that we only see a fraction of the ride and your face shows the tough parts we missed. Cheers from S Texas
You're the man! Such a great way to talk, to ride, to enjoy the Adventure.. being italian, whatching you crossing those streets, those mountain of Sand, that Ocean, where i spent two of the most incredible years of my Life, riding a Yamaha XT 600 and then a bicycle, makes me feel home again. Such a beautiful country Australia! Specially WA.
Keep goin this way mate! All the best
Haha this was even more fascinating for me as I have zero experience riding in the sand! The entire time I was like where on earth is he going with that monster of a bike. And hearing the engine rev in the onboard footage really helps you understand how difficult that is and yet how easy you make that look! And what a trail that! Wowza
I feel India is calling me again Sarge. In time I will return and drag you into a crazy adventure.
@@MotologyFilms Let's do this! 💪🏻 Cannot wait
@@MotologyFilms @sagar sheldekar official
Can't wait to see both legends in the same screen
If you want to gain deep sand riding experience and you like to travel, try outside Lima, Peru in the desert there - an amazing place with monster sand dunes ("The Tube") and unlimited deep sand desert but fairly close to a major city (Lima). Desert Sport Racing in Miraflores, Peru is a good place to start for some direction to find a local guide and a find a rental moto.
This is incredible footage. Just a phenomenal and yet relaxed pace you keep, not just with the bike, but with the story.
Easily the best adv vids on RUclips. Thanks buds.
Love it Adam! Been watching for 10+ years now since your video with Hollis on the 350 EXC-F which I currently own a 2013. Been looking at the T7 since it came out and you have only helped me confirm my decision that I will own one soon. Thank you! Love your content! Keep it up and stay safe!
I wanna be an Australian after watch this video! beautiful footage, great riding and the most important, the camaraderie.
❤ It! keep on living my friend!! I, just bought a T7 -2 weeks ago and I can't wait to ride it down Baja California South this summer.
Cheers 🍺
Always a treat to catch a quick vid of your riding area and the new steed. Thanks and cheers to a great 2023!
Still one of my favourites, keep on visiting...that moment you got to the beach, the sound, the visuals, impeccable..just love it!
Dude. You're amazing. You make that deep sand look easy (well, easier). So cool to see you rocking the GL Coyote on this trip!
Another awesome video I’ve been catching up on, Adam. The south west of WA is spectacular. I’m looking forward to exploring the area on two wheels in the future.
I saw a video tip on inserting earplugs and it said to lightly moisten the tip, then reach over your head and pull on your ear with your other hand and then insert the earplugs. It works great and is in fact the instructions on the packet and what you see Valentino Rossi do.
Another tip is when filling your bladder from a bottle, create a vortex with the bottle by making a circular motion with the base of the bottle. It’s much faster.
Cheers, Andy.
I think this is the first time I've ever seen Adam come close to struggling. Sand is tough on the big girls.
Seems he put it in a ditch in Europe once. Then there was the time we found out he is afraid of wolves in Albania.
Right! super impressive that he can push that big bike all loaded down through that deep beach sand...definitely solid inspiration!
Jaysus - new subscriber from Ireland mate! I have a T7 Rally '22, the dream is doing even one day of what you seem to do every other day! Love your video quality, the effort you put into getting the shots, editing and just your down to earth Aussie attitude. I should be working but have just consumed a few hours of your content... keep up the good work and keep the T7 videos coming...
Just watching your videos brings back memories of my late teens, early twenties when i spent more time sleeping in a tent than in a house. The Ozark mountains called me and I stayed on the road as much as I could. Then married and my wife jumped on with me.
I'm 64 now and feeling that itch. Luckily I'm in perfect health.
My good friend is going to sell me his Honda 300 rally to get back in the swing then I'll be getting a T7 or Husky.
I've looked at the GS, ridden a few and while I love them, I don't feel they suit my riding style.
Like you I enjoy going off road for real.. not just gravel roads.
How cool is riding without having to look back, no rear view mirrors on the ADV. Just love the thought. In my part of the world just can't imagine that. Awesome video as always, Adam never ceases to impress. Godspeed
Even with mirrors I always glance over my shoulder before making a move on the road. But otherwise, like life, just focus and charge forward my friend.
Hello, fellow with the same name! I see you're riding KTM 390 ADV. How do you find it so far?
Great video, loved the sights and sounds! Thanks for sharing your awesome part of the world with the rest of us!
oohh man this video it was an experience from start to finish, thanks for sharing
nowadays these drones are pure magic..sharp eyes from the sky ..and the good thing is it follow you..
Perfect all around. Your T7, your riding skills, the scenery is absolutely beautiful, and your videography is top notch. Cheers from Wisconsin USA. I have money down on a blue T7, hope to pick it up May 2024.
Really is a funny thing how where you grow up and what you get used to changes a persons perspective. As a Canadian and avid outdoorsman, I am used to being out where the bears and wolves live, but I get unsettled when I think about the wildlife in Australia. Totally flipped around.
I thought that scenery looked pretty reminiscent of home. Glad to see someone from south west of WA doing well online. Albany to Esperance is pretty much my local hangout with a few trips out walpole way too.
I know my home turf when I see it especially when its West Oz dune riding. My weapons of choice were the old school Yamaha TTR250 and the ultimate dune ripper the Yamaha Raptor 700 quad. You learn real quick if your not balanced and powering through deep sand you'll get bucked off like a horse. The raptor has a similar engine and its just got torque in every gear. Great stuff mate!!!
TT600L in 1984, my first "Adventure" bike. Fantastic apart from the drum brakes. We are lucky in the South West with our tracks.
Fantastic to see you out in the backyard. 👍
Easy to underestimate fuel usage in deep sand. I ran out just before Misied in Morocco riding a KTM890 Rally on a Dakar piste up from Smara in Western Sahara! I now use a Kriega tank bag to carry 2L on my T7...
South of Shannon River? Beautiful spot. I was out toward Walpole a few days ago and once I get these tyres, I'm definitely heading back from Albany to find some of these trails. We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful spot. Keep on doing what you do Adam. I keep dreaming I'll bump into you down here at some point! Love your vids so much mate. Your wisdom and experience is something I soak up like a sponge!
Awesome stuff champ. Love that part of the world spent many a great time down there.
Always a great watch. Love the commentary you provide. Keep keeping it real!
Fantastic video, that beach was just perfect. Loving the T7 and great news about the warhorse, looking forward to seeing it again on the channel ❤
I have watched two of your videos, and dude, they are such a fun to watch and I am so impressed by your riding skills. Thanks for the entertainment and greetings from Germany.
After 3 years on the fence I finally ordered my own 2023 T7 and should have it in June...can't wait to start racking up kilometers.
What a great place to travel on two wheels. 👍🏼 Love the isolation.
This guy Adam makes excellent videos to keep all sorts of bike enthusiasts happy. They are educational and interesting. Well done mate!
Went from gravel to single tack to no track/make your own track, back to single track to the ocean. Amazing shots and great production.
I could watch you for days Adam. I hope to meet you one day. Best regards from Serbia
Listened to your advice to ad more lightness into my luggage. Sent me paniers in retirement. Can’t tell it’s improved my off-road skills but as ham fisted as i am I can tell it’s becoming more enjoyable to ride. Cheers from Germany
Grear vid! Im in the south west also. Do a lot of 4x4ing and yeah sand chews up the fuel masively on 4 wheels also.
Bush Chook 😂 I guess any beer will taste good after all that sand riding. Beautiful part of the world down there in Walpole and so well shot. Great vid. Inspiring me to get out there and do some moto camping.
Haha, Langy lives on them
Fantastic views, can almost smell the sea...great riding!
Love this video, seen it over and over, so much knowlegde and stoff to learn. Thanks alot. 😊
look forward to comeing along on these trips with u ..fantastic good luck mate
Loving your videos! Cheers from Bunbury, WA!
6:05 sweet spot, love the advice for riding in sand too. i tend to take it too cautiously and of course, i am stuffed afterwards from battling the stupid bike ;)) fabulous riding through that sand and tight tracks
Epic adventure! WA seems like a great place to live
Sitting here in the UK missing Australia since my last trip there before the Rona. What a great video it's one I'll watch a lot.
nice place to spend the night and refresh the mind
Repost mate? All good - it’s still awesome the second time round thanks AR. I’m in QLD but watching your footage of WA I need to make a trip over. Stay safe mate look forward to some Warhorse adventures 👍
Yeah mate, same video just had to fix audio - only playing on one speaker/headphone. Should be good now! Warhorse will be on Aussie soil soon!
The drive onto the beach is spectacular. The sand incredible. Still feel lucky to be here in Northern Utah but there is plenty to envy about Western Austrialia. Ride on.
Yes UTAH -- wonderful scenery - Zion is incredible
Thanks dude, thanks to you I've just ordered my T7 world raid 😎 can't wait to get on with the adventure you are are inspiring dude thanks.
F legend, thanks for a great video! Appreciate you giving us your experience!!
Awesome riding in that soft deep sand....so brutal. Got a lot of that here on the Carribean coast of Colombia. Great vid!
Thanks for another awesome video Adam. I had a bit of a Revelation watching this one; Trip from Brisbane - Perth(to see my Big Bro), with a few days exploring the West coast while over that way. In all honesty, watching such a capable rider such as yourself doing it tough in the sand, makes me somewhat comfortable in the fact that I battle on my 'Big Girl' (KTM 1090). Keep the awesome videos coming mate, truly inspiring :)
Such beautiful trails for off-roading 😍
Greetings from Poland, what a amazing video there!
I am glad that I found than channel.
Best wishes!
Another great video helping us mere mortals keep the stoke. Followed your advice and ditched the heavy bike racks and went with soft panniers. Melted one of the straps but, luckily I had to foresight to use a self-taping screw as backup insurance. Added a few more and made it out and back. Also, bought a new lightweight sleeping bag and blow-up pillow. Made the ride so much more enjoyable.
You don't know until you know. Glad you're getting more enjoyment out of the ride mate
Always a good story and beautiful pictures. Thank you very much
Another great clip done mate. Look forward to seeing the Warhorse in similar settings
You and me both!
That's a triple S! Scenery and Spectacular Shooting! 🤟
There is a lot of nice tall tree Forrest tracks around Pemberton I ride my rego CRF in if your ever around those ways.
Very impressive work, both riding and photography. Great scenery, and some helpful tips on riding sand.
Used to ride the original Yamaha TT500s on these same tracks back in the 1970s. Not much has changed in 50 years.
Adam you gotta do a couple more of these short trips down south mate, love it.
Thank you MASTER 😊
Awesome riding!
Always fun watching your videos :) - fantastic beach and trail drive what an adventure
That's a bloody awesome adventure there. I'm inspired.
Thanks
The sand there is super deep. I got bogged on a dune in Hawke National park near Pemberton. Took nearly the entire day to dig the jeep out of the crater that I made.
Awesome Video Adam, really good to see WA again.
Great part of the state to ride, even better finishing with the best beer in the west
What a location it was for camping, this is what we love about down under
Brilliant ride thanks that was just wondering.
Beautiful, I see why you advise to travel, light! Most Ténéré owners stay mostly on the road because of where we live. You made a good choice👍🏴🏴
Great video, hope your property gets through unscathed.
Epic ride. Camping night one and the coffee seemd verycool.
Very nice drone shots ,incredible views , beautiful place.
About to go hit esperance this weekend, so your tips are invaluable!
Another great t7 fix. What is it about watching someone doing great stuff on the same bike you ride. Glad to see all was well back at the ranch.
It's nice when people appreciate the journey and perhaps even get some insight into what these bikes are capable of. Even if I wasn't making a video, this is the type of ride I would do with this bike ... I like that it can take me places beyond the usual access of vehicles.
@@MotologyFilms Keep making the films. For me, the best content out there. Added bonus is we share a love of the t7. 👍
I got the Acerbis fuel tank, pretty good tank, only downside is the mounting bends the front plastics out a bit, but not as much as the Safari tanks do, I want to get decals made to continue the Blue background with the Tenere lettering, but once again due to it being a plastic tank, I'm not sure on who would or if they would be able to make a decal that stays stuck. But that extra 6 litres with being full is roughly the same weight as the steel tank it's so much better for the long hauls.
Gotta love the southwest. Beautiful bush. West is best!
One more Arileman adventure awesome moto ride. Thanks mate!
That beach sand smashed up by 4x4s is no joke. Amazing riding Adam
Great videos, thanks for making them. Reminds me of Baja California.
Beautiful peace and solitude.
Another cracking video Adam, fair play. Sending my best for the bush fires too, hopefully now well under control
Fantastic Adam
Yes that sand riding is tricky, my Son said leave it in third & hold it flat.
Great scenery awesome place WA.
Can I ask why the T7 rather than a 690 or 701.
I guessing more comfortable it does look a great bike especially yours.
Ok keep safe thanks for sharing Cheers
Barry, your son knows what's up.
As far as single-cylinders go, I call it at the 500EXC / Enduro bikes. Beyond that, twin-cylinders are the go simply for the enjoyment and feel of the balanced motor. I love the sound, the feel and novelty of the big engine in a dirtbike chassis.
They just do it easy on the road. Singles for the racetrack or Enduro loop, twins for the bigger off-road expeditions.
Hats of to you, I'm a WA boy as well and I hate sand
Complete fun. One of the craziest adventures you've done. Lot to learn from you mate. Keep it up. Love from India.
Amazing few days out to tear up some sand and dirt, you could tell that gent had those single tracks burned after years of ripping on them …. Hope your farms remains unscathed Adam. God Bless 👍🏻
Hey Adam, what’s this about, mate? Legit?
Awesome adventure! Gotta love our state WA, the South West is magical!
Awesome inspiring video!!! The T7 is top of my list of bikes for purchase ☝🏼✍🏼🏍️
Very cool to see you down here in Walpole and surrounds. Some awesome riding trails in these great forests and along the coastline. Very lucky to live down here and ride these tracks every weekend. Stay safe in the fires mate. My crews were up there for the week, glad it is now contained and controlled. Thanks for another great video. 👍Hopefully see you on the road one day.
That rear wheel is done!
Fantastic. Loved every minute.
The fuel gauge on the T7 is not linear. I would suggest running it to E one day making note of mileage at what bars and then using your trip meter to gauge fuel range from that point forward.
Its fine on a car or when commuting. Offroad=you never know how much fuel you have used.
Loved your video, sure wish we had trails like that here in the Midwest USA. I I could what tires are you running. Thank you. I'll be watching your other videos.
Take care and ride safe.
Wish we all could ride like you mate. 95 percent of adventure bikes are sold to people with a 9 to 5 job. We don’t get to practice as much in order to get so skilled.
謝謝,對初學者來說有很大幫助。
