Aussie truckers are a different breed. Awesome stuff
We sure are. Ha ha
Love these videos great insight to trucking and also great music
Awesome. Thanks Michael and its great to have you along
Greetings from Glesno, Poland where a lorry driver is passionate about watching such clips from the other side of the globe. Cheers mate
Hello there and great to have you along.
Great channel , trucker from California 40 years , always wanted to drive a roadtrain in Austraila , a work vacation , keep the the great videos !
Thanks Charles. Great to have you along.
Thanks for taking us along
Thanks for coming along.
Really impressed by this, I'm pleasently surpised to stumble on an Aussie Truckie who can share this underappreciated lifestyle which so many take for granted. Keep this going!
Thanks for your support.
I drive truck In USA and I want to become a driver in australia. someone help me please
Unless you live in Australia, I don't know any way you can get here.
@@JordanShackelford Learn how to drive RHD.
My wife and I are from Canada . We rented a caravan and drove from Sydney to Perth . Was fantastic !!!!!
It's good to see someone else who uses proper English. These days you see way too many people saying for example "me and my wife' etc etc etc.
Yeah I'm not very good with the slang. I English good... 😂
Why you drive in AU when you are from Canada.
@@HarshJain-it2bg Sure seemed to be the best way to see the country.

That's a hell of run to deliver vermin restricting fencing but you crossed beautiful remote country that few ever explore and truly appreciate. Though I regularly travel throughout remote SA and WA as a mining engineer, the landscape is forever changing. Thank you for sharing your view. Greetings from Woomera in South Australia. 👍👍🇭🇲

I drove trucks in The States for 40 years. Always wanted to go to Australia and try it there.
I wish I could come over there and try it too.
New subscriber from Alberta Canada 🇨🇦 Australia has some beautiful country views and the Australian trucks are absolutely awesome, retired trucker of 44 years.
Awesome. Thanks Jeff and great to have you along.
Such nice looking country. Lots of wire for a big job. So glad we can call them our ally for all these years. Thanks for the Seekers too Australia. Regards from the US Midwest where cows, pigs, chickens, corn and beans are our game.
Thanks for that. The US would be great to drive around one day.
So glad to have U yanks as our number 1 ally we are so much alike our two great nation's it's really cool specially considering how far apart we are in the map
Ever since I did my senior year term Paper on the nation of Australia I have been enamoured with the country and MOST OF ALL, its people. Thanks for sharing, looking forward to more to come!!!!!
Thanks heaps
Beautiful video! I really like how professional your videos are with all the camera angles and drone photo etc. Since I’m very into Australian trucking I’m learning a lot of your videos. Drive safe!
Thanks Frank. Yes I put a lot of time into my videos. Stay tuned for more soon.
Great episode 👍 the drone footage was breathtaking. Wonderful that your employer, Southern Wire and the farmers allowed you to video.
Yes and it's my pleasure to show it all.
Why shouldn't they allow him to film his job and life for goodness sake? Employers seems to be getting creepier and creepier every year.
Lots of places don't want me to film because they're afraid I'll catch them doing something wrong then theyll get in trouble.
@@RoadTrainAdventures Yes that is understandable but where I work (in the mines) it is because they want to hide their own incompetence and poor behaviour. As Australians we need to stand up, draw a line and make sure that our society is for us and our families benefit first and foremost and not just for the Rhinehearts and Forrests,
To be honest. I don't think these companies are so worried about doing something wrong but more that something might happen, by mistake, and then they get in trouble. If course there are others that just don't want anyone to see their operation. Like they're the only ones doing something one way that others will copy, and therefore be a disadvantage if others find out.
I like this drivers attitude very calm patient humble unlike other outback drivers always in a hurry grumpy brains fried by the heat
Thanks Paul. Great to have you along too.
As an American it's insane to me how long and how heavy yalls trucks get to be. Granted your roads are way different than ours but still so cool!
Yeah it's great for us
@@RoadTrainAdventures fiancee and I loved watching this video. We both agree you should make more videos like this on your channel. Be safe!
Thanks heaps. Yes I will be making many more. This will I will make one about me pulling the full trailers at 53 metres long unless something changes.
It's basic economics, 7f face. A big town, that Australia.
Thanks, inland this country is very empty, population is only 25,000,000. 90% live on the coast. It is a long long way from anywhere west to anywhere east. Best wishes .
Respect.
The work you guys do keeps Australia running. You get such little respect from car drivers, the government, police etc it's amazing that we run as a country at all
Thanks Jimmy
Trucks carry this country.
They sure do Rob
I'm an Australian city dweller. I have driven around this country a little. But please spare a thought for how far this fellow has gone. He never talked about it, save a quick view of the map. But for those in doubt from Western Australia to Queensland via the route shown is one very very long drive.Enormous really.
Yes it may be a long trek for most but I've done it so many times now, it's just another day.
@@RoadTrainAdventures Thanks for showing how and what you do mate. I find it really fascinating. I've done Perth to Melbourne and back quite a few times over the years, but just in a regular car. Seeing how it's done in a road train is really cool. Safe travels and all the best.
Thanks man. I would hate to do it in a car. That would be uncomfortable. I drive from Melbourne to Gold Coast and would never do that again.
@@RoadTrainAdventures The first time I did it was in 1983, in a 1970 Datsun 1200, with my family of four in it! Perth/Melb/Canberra/Perth. Every time a road train was approaching from the opposite direction, my old man would shout "Brace yourselves!' haha. We had an AM radio, a dodgy battery tape player and an old foam esky. No air con or phones or anything... It was pretty wild!
Anyway, take care out there. Cheers
Wow Danoz. I guess back before modern cars that would be fine but nowadays....no. We had an Kingswood when I was growing up.
Interesting show us city people the real world and importance of trucking👍
For sure
Love and respect for you from Pakistan. God bless you

Cool video mate. I like seeing the different parts of Australia that you travel. The drone shots are awesome. Stay safe.

great video young man. Blessings to you and yours and the good truckers down Under.. Coming at you from the mountains of Southern Oregon

People say it's pretty dangerous driving trucks down here I spose due to just how isolated U find yourself at times and not to mention camels to worry bout hitting but I reckon driving trucks in the mountains is a heck are f a lot more dangerous.

Thanks and will do
What a great video, journey 😊 & editing. Great job
Thanks Andy.
Hi there!
I’m just very new to your channel and I like your production values and the quality of camera work. Speaking from the point of view of a retired documentary maker and Media Studies teacher, your shots can be truly beautiful and highly informative of the Australian countryside and trucking business.
May I please offer this piece of encouragement for future videos- as your camera work is of a high standard, your takes can be run for at least twice as long as you are having in this video. These images of Australia are utterly beautiful and deeply inspiring, romantic even at times. Please, don’t be afraid to edit in much longer shots as they are beautiful to watch.
Also, your comments about your loading and unloading would be highly insightful for those of us that love travelling but don’t get enough of an opportunity to hit the road.
Cheers from a country boy living in the city. (Melbourne!)
Thanks Stephen. I spent the weekend with my family in Melbourne. I keep each shot quick or less than 5 seconds as most people will leave watching the video unless it's punchy. I hear what you're saying and whilst you'd like longer shots of the scenery, other people don't care and will then move on to another video.
Thank you for a wonderful video.
I've been to Australia 🇦🇺 twice, goldcoast area. If I'd of known what Australia 🇦🇺 was when I was 20 ish I'd would have packed my bag. Not for the adventure but the way of life.
You were talking about the log book 📖 🙄 we here in Ireland 🇮🇪 and Europe have a tachograph card . If you were stuck in traffic, you can watch that clock run out even a few miles to your stop. No grey area so don't complain and DON'T let the tachograph in or your days on the road will increase.
I've subscribed so I'll let you lead us across your wonderful country and I'll pray I'll get back there again. Keep the rubber side down 👍
Thanks Eugene. Yeah I've heard about the tachograph card. Sounds like a bad deal. They are bringing in electronic wheel diaries here. They haven't been taken up by many companies yet but the government is pushing for it. More dodgy systems that fails us drivers.
@@RoadTrainAdventures put your card in, your clocked in . 4 and a half hour driving you must take a 45 minute break. Another 4 and a half hour driving , finished but you can add another hour driving after another 45 minute break but this extra hour must be given back. Now if you are in traffic or multi drop ,"working time directive " comes into play. We have to have the 45 minute break taken before your 6 hours of work even though you might have driven only 2 , 3, or 4 hours.
It depends which one comes into play.
You plan your day aiming for some where to pull in.
With our working hours 2 to 3 day trip will be extended to 4 at least . Who is going to pay for the extra day.
I've looked at 2 more videos. Like the fact you don't have Aires and graces like some other videos or the over acting. Keep it safe out there.
There's a truck driver heading out to Australia 🇦🇺 in the new year. He has written a few songs. Truckin, farming....
He is a character knows how to get the crowd going. Look him up .
Marty Mone . Songs; slip the clutch.
Or hit the diff. Look him up on utube
Keep it safe. Catch you on the flip
Awesome. Thanks for the info. We can drive 14 hours per day.
@@RoadTrainAdventures 9 +1 over 13 hour spread 3 times a week but has to be paid back..night time driving is shorter
I've done the trip to Perth a few times in the late1980s to early 90s .. Also been to nth Queensland a few times delivering to mines. Lovely country up there. I've given up interstate now but i had 30 years travelling this wonderful country. Thanks for sharing.
Yes it's an awesome job travelling around. Especially in this company where I go to different places every trip.
What a great video this was. Hope you get 20 times the views, this work deserves it. Interesting content, great camera work and editing.
Thanks Dave. Great to have you along.
Really interesting and informative and beaut filming especially with the drone shots, I am not a truckie but I love trucks especially the classics and Australia’s transportation history including trains, autos & bikes, haven’t crossed the Nullarbor for a few decades now but did do from Melbourne to Perth many, many times from the Early 1970’s starting when there was the unmade section between Eucla and Ceduna before they sealed and saw a lot of damage to vehicles from holed petrol tank to front end collapse on this section and also to a broken timing chain on my XP Falcon Hardtop between Norseman & Balladonia mid winter and getting towed back to Norseman By a young bloke in a 48 Buick straight eight! Those were the days if anything is going to go wrong at shitters ditch Murphy’s law takes over and it always happened on the Nullarbor! I also did a few round trips on my motorcycle back in 74 on my Kawasaki Mach 3 which went surprisingly trouble free for a hot rod 2 stroke triple but in those days you didn’t really have to worry about cops and radar just Kangaroos and other critters so a high speed was the order of the day and to stop those plugs oiling up on the stroker! Mixed with a bit of youthful risk taking, I’d invariably always get pulled over coming in to Perth for some reason but never on the highway, memories!
Thanks for your kind words.
Great video❤❤❤ I loved the sceneries and the way you handled both the cam n the train. I felt like travelling with you.
Thanks Vicki. Glad you liked it
Amazing mate....had good fun watching it...thanks for uploading the video..
Awesome. Thanks for watching
Great video loved the shots of the sunrise very interesting to see the way you guys work down under
Yeah the sunrise shots are the best
Amazing vid sir. The beautiful landscapes of Australia are mesmerising. I heard the saying that everything in Australia are trying to kill you but that doesn't bother me much lol. Your rig is awesome man. You make trucking looks fun and stress free. Cheers and be safe mate.
Thanks man. Not everything in Australia is trying to kill us but the other drivers on the road do sometimes. Ha ha
Thank you very kindly for this trip, and taking time to film. I live on East Coast, originally country NSW and now Brisbane.
I have driven Perth to East, after taking train west. I have been to Longreach also, for a wedding many years ago. 2000 actuly.
Realy enjoyed this run. Take care, and stay safe.
Thanks for your kind words.
Just wanted to say mate your content is absolutely fantastic - keep it up
Thanks heaps. That mean a lot.
Skippy disagrees with you!
A great show. Most of us don't realise what long distance truck drivers have to cope with doing their daily drives. My arse gets sore after 3 hrs driving a luxury car, i don't know how you guys ( gals ) can do this job day in day out. Keep up the great shows.
I get it. I drove 2000km in our nice car and I'll never do that again. Truck seats are so much better than cars . Great to have you along.
Really enjoyable . Thanks for sharing
Awesome thanks
Great job on the video thanks for sharing. This one just came up in my recommendations. Many years ago now I drove overhead cranes at the Steelworks at Port Kembla loading steel plate so this was a real treat specially after touring this great country. It always amazes me how many people don’t get how big this country is or the fact that with the move to EVs 😂🤣😂 People think that Diesel trucks are becoming extinct. Anyway thanks again. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for your kind words. Yes I couldn't imagine working at a job where I don't travel.
Great video! The drone shots were really nice, and it's cool seeing you load up your trailer

So insightful, great video. Always so fasinating passing road trains, a bit scary, specially on the roads where there are no shoulder, and 130(I'm looking at you NT). Mad respect for the work!

Nice video well done , my bro was an outback road train driver back in the day hard work and the Mack with twin shift gear box was a classic Cheers
Awesome Michael.
The Mack Twin stick was a fun box to shift, one arm thru the steering to one stick wheel and the other on the left lever when range shifting.
Takes hours to fly across Australia. Like five on one trip and that was just part of it.
Oh yeah
Great video.
Great, thanks mate.
It just weirds me out thinking about people living in the middle of Australia, never seeing snow, mountains, oceans. Makes me realise I'm very lucky to live where I do.
I guess these people live there out of choice. Just like people live in the city with the noise and pollution.
@@RoadTrainAdventures True, I don't understand those people much either. I luckily live close enough to cities to get access to the shops and stuff but also close enough to nature that I get clear skies and empty roads when I go out for a drive. I suppose we all make do with what we have.
Yeah I love both the city and country hence the reason my job suits me.

Wow... that's amazing! I found your channel tonight and I really enjoyed this video. It's fascinating watching what you do and the distances you cover are mind blowing. Your channel shows it how it is and doesn't over dramatise everything like say 'Outback Truckers' would do. This is why I watch RUclips and not TV. Thanks for making the effort to make your videos and 'Hi' from the UK.
Awesome. I'm glad you liked it. I speak to some of the guys from Outback Truckers and the producers only want drama.

What a lovely video. Really enjoyed that. Subscribed! Liked seeing the old machinery on the farms. Had a look on why there isn’t a trans-Australian rail infrastructure. There seems to be different gauges and remote farms that would need trucks anyways. Will watch more. Keep on trucking!

Australia is absolutely huge - after driving for hours just look at the map and notice you've barely moved 😎
It's pretty big.
Thats the way i like it!
Pretty much the same size as the continental United states but with a lot less people and the second largest desert in the world smack dab in the middle.
