Hard to describe what gives a channel that "raw" effect but with you guys its more about sincere and honest reactions you give to day to day occurrences, good and bad. It sets you apart from other travel vlogs in a big way. Really enjoy your vids, keep up the good work.
One of the truly brilliant things about your channel: being Australian, you’re not afraid of animals when they come to say hello! I’ve noticed that with other travel vlogs from non-Australian creators, that they seem to be only used to interacting with dogs & cats! I loved watching you with that little goat - so adorable!
a great episode guys well done. That region is filled with tales of hardship and fortune fortune. I saw Mary Kathleen as a productive uranium mine in the 70s and again when the decommissioning sale was held and in that water i believe there is still machinery used in mining the actual yellow cake as it was just best to leave it in there..one little chuckle i got was that the turkeys you mentioned a couple of times Jack were actually Guinea Fowl but who cares, it was great to see and hear you guys excitement. Travel Safe guys.
Fun episode. Love the narrative, and well done on another excellent editing. It's fun watching you both. Any more challenges your subscribers recommended that you'll do soon? 😁
Your sincerity and enthusiasm makes me what to pack the van and get out again. Thanks again for sharing you travels/life with us. How good it would be to be young again 🤔
Absolutely loved this style of video. It showed us all what life on the road is really like. That farm stay was crazy, so much going on. One Life, One Search, Shane
Last time I patted a goat my hands stunk for days. (At the Pondering Frog in Tassie) Those pillows seem to have a couple of uses, propping up the storage lid and to rest against while leaning back. Maybe they can stay. That was a fun video with quirky music at the animal farm. Marty from Perth
Awesome video, very genuine. My 6 year old daughter loved the animals, apparently we’re going sometime lol. Go the baked beans, least you both ate them so you’ll be both letting of gas, wouldn’t wanna be a fly hitching a ride in your troopy for a day or two lol oh the turkeys are not turkeys, there Guinea fowl and when you have an excess there awesome roasted in the oven 😀
Thanks for watching guys!! The kids would have an absolute ball at the farm stay! Definitely would want to avoid being a passenger in the Troopy a few days after that meal 😊😂😂😂
This has definitely been my favourite video you’ve done love to see a bit more of what you do even the things that are normal like cleaning ect and even if we were to see how you get your food do your grocery shops just very normal things but what it’s like to do those things in a small space and being on the road xx
Loved the episode. Left us feeling happy and wanting to hook up the camper and hit the road. Em and I look forward to the next one. Certainly our favourite channel. Cheers.
We really love watching you guys. We are from Perth but now have lived in Melbourne for 11yrs. We have just bought a van and a cruiser and going to start living full-time and travel from Melbourne to Perth as our elders daughter move back to Perth and the youngest is here in Melbourne.
Loved this episode guys, I felt like I was there with you… you could really feel your happiness and joy at what you were experiencing! How good was the little goat, that farm stay rocks! Great editing and music choice as well… as they say - nailed it!
It's a beautiful spot East Liechardt dam near Mt isa. We spent a lot of time camping and water skiing on the dam when we lived there. Crocodiles are just freshwater crocodiles so they don't worry you unless you threaten them.
Great video. Enjoyed the stay with the animals and get that lovely goat. It was certainly different but very enjoyable. The young lady in the bath made it well worth watching on its own. Good job keep it up John😂😂
Nice one guys. The hug in while you were standing in the water is why you go to places like that. No one else there and able to just enjoy the location.
Loved the change of plans - we did that last year too! If you are heading to the Atherton Tablelands make sure you drop into Innot hot springs. There is a sandy river bed that you can lie in the hot water from the springs. Great to be first there with a cup of coffee in the morning! Free camp just off the road a few km away with markets at the campsite every couple of week-ends (don't get stuck as the stall will set up around you!) Thanks for the video and the great reminders of our trip :-)
Totally enjoyable, nothing wrong with bake beans & egg on toast. Bake beans are a good base for any imaginative recipe - add cut up sausages or spam, anything you like. That goat looked about spit size🐐, sorry Meagan😁
Love this place! Stayed there about 6 years ago and it was a highlight of our trip.. loved all the animals you name it it was there. The cow was only a calf back then and the owner was feeding it with a bottle. The shower was awesome perfect temperature water straight out of the ground. We talk about it regularly and we will get back one day.
U guys have nailed it again with this Ep & u look & sound so happppy , keep it up 👍. Luv’d the goat and animals 🤣. Thnx for sharing, raw was good, keep doing it, cheers 🍻
Thanks again for another great episode 😄Just spent 6 weeks (May/June) travelling across to Perth (AND back). I had lists of all these Free Camps but we ended up searching most nights when possible for electricity to power our heating otherwise it was off to bed with thermals. We went via South Australia’s Eyre & York Peninsula and then the Margaret River …stunning scenery and met some great people but I didnt thaw out until we reached Moree NSW on our way home to Brisbane and warmth!🥰so I can understand you wanting to find the way out of the cold
Thanks for your wonderful videos Megan and Jack. My husband and I love your videos and have followed you since the early days - you are both so natural and genuine and have a real joy for the simple things in life. We did a trip in a ute and rooftop tent in 2016 from Perth to Victoria, a month in Tasmania, then up to Townsville - took 3 months but we just loved it all. Keep traveling your own path! Look forward to next week's episode.
Definitely enjoyed it amazing video I love any style of video u post love you guys keep it up you guys keep inspiring me to be like you guys one day. Keep doing what your doing
Yes hard to describe the raw honesty of your video. Two beautiful people enjoying each other's company as they travel. My partner and I at the time and I'm talking like nearly 30 years ago also traveled from Perth WA up the West Coast to Kununurra through QLD , Cloncurry was one of our stops then Newcastle . Coincidentally my partner at the time her name was Meagan. Also in a Toyota Land Cruiser 19 74 model. Happy travels to you both.
We liked this style of video too! We think its great to show a bit of the behind the scenes and some of the reality, because it isn’t always sunshine and lollipops - from one travelling couple to another, haha! We love how real you are, how you interact with each other and your personalities are gold. Maybe we’ll see you on the track.
We’ve watched all your vids and I think this is one of my favourites. You both seemed to be even happier than normal. Was a great watch. Keep up the good times and good vids.
We loved this one as well!! We are finally settled into living full time on the road again and very happy with how it’s all going. Thanks for watching 😊
you guys have nail it with your natural way of filming, enjoyed that very much, can you share where that camp site was? till next week have a great trip. Cheers
How could you ever expect an experience like that ,you travel all over Australia and something so simple is a hi lite of your trip. Love your videos as always great mix of content.
Well done 👍 👍 I saw you shopping in town , but was to shy to stop and say hello, so I just tooted the car horn and waved , looking forward to your next one . Thank you .
Love the format of this vid guys and while you said it was raw I thinking it was nicely edited. Keep it and we are enjoying going through your previous vids. Love it! P.s we are from Perth so not bias at all 🤣
Omg you 2 are a crack up and we really look forward to your videos every week and we wish you had more as this is the best laugh we get. You are to funny lol. Thank you.
Love your vid’s Cannot wait to visit this place! PS Jack, the geese are Guinea fowl 😃 I miss my Guinea fowl, he use to follow me around like a puppy dog.
For a minute there I thought you wouldn’t get the gate opened, and the next few videos would be driving around looking for a hole in the fence, and then a video of Megan eating eggs cooked on Jack in the frypan…. So I’m relieved you made it out of there! Loved the next part too, that goat, the kangaroo….priceless! Absolutely loved the video…solid gold!
Hahah we were thinking the same thing for a minute! The farm stay was amazing, we were expecting to see maybe a few birds, a dog and a cow so it blew us away with all those animals 😂 So happy to hear you enjoyed this one 😁😁
That was pretty cool. The sunrise with the roo was outstanding. I've seen monkeys saying hello to people in baths before but never a roo 😂 And the goat was adorable. Actually when we drove across the north west the animal we saw the most, except for roos, were goats. They were everywhere. The buggers can climb trees so you drive past a random tree and there would be half a dozen goats perched in the branches. Excellent video, great stuff!
Yes they’re everywhere hey! Apparently they’re a pest but they’re so cute 😂 how good was the roo coming up to the bath hey we couldn’t believe it! All the animals were so laid back and were very comfortable living on the farm.
We really enjoy your videos for showing us what life on the road is really like - good days and not so good days. Keep doing what you are doing! Thanks for sharing your adventures :)

Jack and Megan you just show real live in a van can be fun but also challenge a episode full of fun and laughter

Enjoyable episode. Great editing and use of music to capture the mood. Looking forward to the next one. 👍
Thanks Hammer!! Did take a while to edit this one so happy with it!! Definitely one of our favourites. 😬
Hand reared baby goats are awesome fun. This one is about 6 weeks old. BTY we have a goat farm...

The water in the Mary K pit is that blue green because of the Uranium that was mined there.
We really love watching you guys.
