England are about to peak in the final. They have great players however Southgate still plays with the handbrake on. Harry Kane has been poor in the last 3 tournaments, he is slow and it stifles play. Southgate will start Kane and hopefully he only plays the first 45! It is 100% coming home 😃

Come on, Gab Marcotti. Champions League isn't much of quality football either. Two-three good matches out of hundreds. Haven't managed to finish watching 90 minutes for most of the games anyway. Neither have we had the Messis and Ronaldos in recent UCL seasons, so that's one reason. City-Madri-Lever are just drops in the ocean, so whatever they do, ain't enough for the whole game. We need more competition. And the same thing is reflected in the Euros. I would say that the quality of football overall is climbing down. I remember the late 80s and early 90s and it seems we are in a cycle. We have been lucky to live and witness football in the late 90s and throughout Messi and Ronaldo's career.
I'm glad when I hear a foreign guy coming in won't be the best fit for the USA soccer team. Same reason I ponder why African national teams mostly choose foreigners as head coaches. SMH
