      Thanks for stopping by, Peter. I’m sure there’s a better way to do this, but at least I learned more about the bike. Have a good one.

    Thanks for this vid Tim my sons fork bottomed out just sitting in the garage I'm not sure if the pressure needs adjusting or if the shock is bunked but you've demonstrated that I can certainly replace if necessary. Great job!

    @Session73 I’m currently trying to do the front shock replacement on my super 73 S2. I’ve ran into the problem where the steering crown from my s2 won’t fit on the tubes of the bulany shock. Did you have this issue too? From your video it looks like yours fit with no size issue. Do you have an after market steering crown?

    I have a super 73 s2...broke my stock forks in a wreck...Also bought my bike used off offerup...I simply messaged super73 told them my situation and they said pay 250 and we will send a replacement...I think less then 2 weeks later I got them...they are located in California I'm in soflo, but it wasn't 400 like you stated so that's false info my guy lol..super 73 even reached backed out to me to see if I got the forks...so after that first experience with them I personally would rather stick to oem parts. Awesome company 👌
    Now I want a Sur Ron and 72v bat lol

    12:35 No! You should screw in the star nut first, then secure the stem. It's all held in tension, the star nut won't compress the steering stem assembly if it's already tightened on the tube!

    Be sure to tighten the 1 bolt under the stem captain first while the 2 bolts are loose that clamp the stem on.
    After the 1 bolt is snug (not super tight) then tighten the 2 stem clamp bolts.

    Cool vid dude , but if it is the stock zx it is quickest to just pop the tubes out of the head stock clamps and then slide the new ones in without removing any of the handlebars, but pre warning pressurise them BEFORE you put them in , otherwise you'll have to move the handle bars to do it, ps thanks for your vid on the hydraulic caliper as they are one of the best upgrades 🤙

    • @SESSIONS73
      @SESSIONS73  2 года назад +1

      That’s a great suggestion. I probably could have accomplished the same with the S2… oh well, it was nice to see how everything comes apart. Thanks for the update on the calipers. I sold my ZX to put toward the Talaria. People still ask me how those hold up.

      THIS RIGHT HERE. My sons fork putzed out on his S2 so I watched Tim's vid ordered the fork he linked in the description and did exactly what you said and it worked like a charm easy peasy so thank you both but especially morbidpen, you're the man of the day. Gonna go riding later!

      It’s holding up fine. Tends to bottom out like the stock fork did, but only on crazy hits and curb drops
