      Trust me I totally get it. Been dealing with it all my life. But all the bikes I’ve gotten stolen were because i missed 1 or 2 of these steps. They are tedious but necessary. Doesn’t hurt putting on a tracker on the bike too

  • @David_Creyke
    @David_Creyke 3 года назад +8

    My preventative measure I just don’t lock it up. I’m scared 😱 I really only use it for work and recreational rides. I do lock it at the grocery store but it’s only 10 minutes tops. I have a u-lock with a cord for the back wheel. I’d be scared to park it overnight, people would definitely steel it here.

    i use $135 Kryptonite lock….and an Apple Airtag placed inside the seat of my Super73.
    imo, every ebike owner should fit an Apple Airtag inside the seat of your ebike.

      Hey Robert! Thanks for your comment.
      Yes Kryptonite locks are good but can still be compromised unfortunately. I have the same thing for mine. I recommend getting an Invoxia tracker, specially for NYC. It lets you know in real time if someone is touching your bike and will send notifications to your phone. And tracks the same (if not better) as an airtag too.
      Stay safe out there 🤟

    • @thepeterparkershow
      @thepeterparkershow  3 года назад +3

      You guys get better components. They are very strict laws in the UK and in Europe in general where the bike must pass certain regulations.
      In other words, the European Super73 is built better.
      Besides that, you guys get the 10-speed kit automatically with the bike. Unfortunately, we don't have access to it here in the US.
      Europe brakes has: Magura MT4e, 2-piston caliper, 180mm x 2.0mm rotor - Rear: Magura MT4e, 180mm rotor x 2.0mm rotor. Yours comes with a horn included, ours doesn't. Also the European one has Torque where ours is Cadence/rotation sensor. Hope that explains it.

      Like I said in the video. Imagine the fence is something solid to park your bike on.

      Add a good bike alarm and it wont be an issue with short term parking.

      He mentioned the wood fence as a prop like 3 times. Got ears?

    Break the bike from the wood then load it in a truck to later cut the rest . Always secure your bike to something even stronger than the lock

      Yep I already mentioned that the fence is not a good place to lock it. 👍
