I’m not a fan of the Super manga but this arc was so much better in the manga than the anime version.
The TOP was also different in the manga, the only thing I honestly liked in the arc in the manga was the fact that Kefla was on par to Gohan which is alot more realistic imo than her being as strong as UI Goku.
@@MinisculePP I heavily disliked the manga ToP because of that specifically. Kale fought Golden Freeza and was doing good against him but then Gohan ties with Kefla who is a fusion with Kale. I’m fine with Gohan being strong but for him to tie with a fusion when one of the two people in that fusion was close to Golden Freeza’s strength?
I like Gohan a lot but no way should he have been anywhere close to Golden Freeza’s level.

Vegeta's SSJG is not only a cool addition to the manga, but Vegeta then uses it to alternate between SSJB and SSJG in a fraction of a second so as to switch between offense(Blue) and defense(SSJG) and catch Goku Black off guard (it actually beats Goku Black Rose, that, along with Zamasu almost getting sealed away, is what forces them to use Fusion). which imo is an underrated moment, and a hint at the kind of small but refreshing detail/creativeness the direction of combat will gain in the fallowing arcs.

my favorite thing about that manga is that even tho goku and vegeta are facing hundreds of god like beings and are sure to lose, they are still ready to fight all of them together

For the people asking why wasn't the show animated exactly as the manga, the anime came before the manga.
No it didn't the anime got ahead of the manga due to monthly chapter release hence why the super anime stopped so the manga could get a few arcs ahead
@korbynshaggy666 It's not because the manga is monthly, it's because the anime came out too soon. It started only 2 weeks after the manga, it would eventually of got ahead, even if the manga was weekly.
@@jasonone8726 It would have been the same. Every 4 anime episodes equals one Manga chapter that isn't insanely long. Of course the anime would outpace the manga.

The Manga was similar to Metal Cooler with the multiple Fusion Zamasu

problem with super though is that both anime and manga are equally canon
the reason being toriyama only wrote a "script" of sorts and toyotaru handles the manga and toei the anime meaning the general story for both are the same but some details like special forms and stuff are filled in by toei and toyotaru (best example is the future trunks arc)

I'd assume that the only reason the Zamasu clones weren't animated is because the multimillion dollar company Toei didn't want to spend a little extra money on animating them

The anime came first, the Manga is technically an adaptation of the anime.

So the anime hyped it up more but we missed two good things from the manga
Not missed. The manga came after the anime. The manga was at this point when the anime was already midway or finished with the TOP.
Fun fact, the only reason the saga existed was so we can get future Zeno and start the tournament of power. But that’s what I love about Super, every arc has a purpose and leads to something later on.
No bro the tournament of power was announced when goku faught hit either way it would happen the second zeno just wanted to be caught up to speed but it was already a thing he found out when goku went to remind the og zeno about it
Many fans always say that the Super arcs never lead into other arcs and feel connected, like back in Z.

I learned by personal experience that the Manga always tops the Anime. Introduces way better storyline and makes way more sense than the Anime. That is because Akita has 100% rights about the Manga but when it comes to Anime Toy Animation has its say on that… sad

@@rouxthaone3349 Kinda Toriyama gave bullet points on what he wanted in the arc and gave them both to the studio and Toyatoro and then they both had to come up with ther own ways on how they get to it its why there are key points in both manga and the anime that dont change

-Goku Black is able to go Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan Rosé .
-Super Saiyan God Vegeta was enough for Rosé because of how much he trained to have a rematch
-No Future Trunks BS (Plot Armor)
-Didn't do Super Saiyan Blue Vegito that badly
But for the Anime
-SSBK is a thing
-Fused Zamasu (Half-Corrupted) is a thing
-Spirit Bomb Sword is a thing (It was cool but logical is was stupid and it didn't make sense and could've been better)
At least the anime version felt like Trunk's arc and not the Goku and Vegeta show manga. Trunks was just a punching bag most of the time. He barely did anything.
It makes sense as to why goku black doesn’t have ssj he has god ki naturally and not normal mortal ki

@@drumdrum6374 yeah true. SSJR was very well written. It actually had some (dark) multi-layered meanings behind it. Not all ppl look deep enough to see it. I also love the cast form of fused zamasu more compared to fused zamasu cloning himself like in the manga. I feel like we've seen way to many villains do that cloning already. That cast form was a great move from the anime. It showed to what extend his immortality could go in a very cool but refreshing and more original way.

Dragonball super is a anime that's main goal is for the two protagonists to simply get stronger with antagonist who try to kill them throughout the series
If u think about it naruto and the beginning of shippuden was like that too only goal was to rise through the ranks of ninja to be hokage with antagonist who try to kill them throughout the series
Main takeaway no way in hell is dragonball, z GT or super a anime with a villain of the show just alot of villains to extend the series
Frieza. He caused Goku to get sent to earth, (dragon ball) he was raditz and vegeta’s boss (Saiyan saga) obviously he’s the villain the frieza/namek saga, cell has frieza genetics (cell saga) no clue how to relate him to the buu saga, BUTTTT
Beerus seeks the super saiyan god and specifically Goku because he killed frieza, obviously he’s the villain in RoF, can’t really tie him in to the Goku black arc, but then he works him them to get reassurected in the ToP,

he lets Moro distract Goku and vegeta while he trains, and then he kills gas and created Granolah/Heeters by invading their home so long ago, and he defeats Goku and vegeta as black frieza. (He also unleashed broly)
Frieza is connected to every single arc other than the buu and Goku black arc. Some arcs he works with the z fighters, but using hindsight it’s clear that was just a build up for his return

@@JustADemon2023 Perfect Cell. I'll be honest and say I haven't watched much Dragon Ball overall, currently in original DB at th 23rd Tenka'ichi Budōkai. But from everything I've seen, Perfect Cell is my favorite. Specifically that form, just like Goku Black in Rosé is my second favorite

Well they would summarize the broly arc in anime by including ssbkkx 20 and ssbe in moro arc once it animated so technically the movie in bewteen anime and manga meaning the anime and manga are the extended version of the movie
For example gogeta blue defeated broly lssj
So on anime it would take gogeta ssbkkx 20 to defeat broly lssj
On manga it would take gogeta perfect blue to defeat broly but broly was stated to be tougher then his movie self meaning the anime and manga broly done better feat in the recap summery version of the movie

You can tell...how vague toryiyamas notes are. By what is the same as the anime and manga.
We can tell toryiama just had bullet points for goku black vs vegeta, then for trunks to cut zamasu in half, then for zamasu to become some form of omnipresence, where it leads to them having to delete trunks world. All the stuff that happens in between was up to toei to fill in the gaps.
Man the panel with goku and vegeta sitting in front of all the zamasu clones reminds me of the metal cooler movie
The last part was wayyy better in the anime it reminded me of berserk

Gamma Burst Flash was introduced in this arc, a Vegeta exclusive ultimate move which is specifically only in the manga..
The fused zamasu was giving off Metal Coooler vibes
Those clown Zamasu surrounding injured Goku and Vegeta is a nice call back from the cooler 2nd movie.

Manga ending make sense because in the manga vegito overpowered zamasu regeneration and invincibility that why trunks was able to defeat him without any genkidama sword
Anime still has people left where as in manga no one is left
