I was sitting 10th row, center orchestra, Biz. Still got the stub. Watching this video, I'm back to Friday night, July 27, 1973, with my buddy Walter at Madison Square Garden. I'm sure we polished off a few joints before the show began, and probably a bottle of Boones Farm Apple Wine also. The show was too amazing to smoke anything during the concert. "Perplexed", maybe "stunned", or "amazed", are good words for how I felt watching this incredible band give this great performance. It was the only time I've ever seen them, and I'll never forget it. My favorite song was "Rock and Roll", which they opened the concert with.
Most of the Madison Square Garden concert has been taken down by You Tube. The song No Quarter and this are all that's left. I recommend buying the concert DVD. It's titled The Song Remains the Same.
Haven't seen it mentioned yet but Plant wrote the lyrics for this as a thanks to the audience. Plant called the audience "The Ocean" as it was a sea of faces in front of him! Love this tune. What else can ya say.... all four together were a powerhouse and brought the best out of each other, individually incredible musicians, together sublime!! Cheers Biz, keep on Keepin on!!
🥰🥰🥰AWESOME reaction Biz!! You get it and I love that!! I was only 2/o when Zep released this song/album but it is the soundtrack of my life. Even though my early life was horrible.... as a young girl Zep's music got me through. Thank you and Love ya Biz!😎 ❤❤❤
Cinematography courtesy of Roberts urologist.... I saw the opening night of this tour May 4 1973 at Atlanta Braves Stadium. I've still got the $5 ticket. Trivia no one will care about: it was the debut show of Bonhams Amber Vistalite kit.
As a life long fan of these guys I would recommend you view (not for the channel) a cover of this song by four kids in a single take recording in a Vegas studio. The drummer is Yoyoka Soma who at 12 (Now 13) is already in the top 500 drummers, and has received praise from Robert Plant and Ian Paice to name just two. The bass player is 9 year old Ellen Alaverdyan who loves the instrument. Along with Eva and Mateo, a couple of talented teenagers. All of these youngster have it in them to go places. They are definitely worth following. As someone who grew up listening to Led Zeppelin I can say that the future of music is in good hands. I just hope I get to see these youngsters perform live before I slip this life. Anyway take a look and see what you think. Just type in the song name "The Ocean". Have fun, and be well.
In My Time Of Dying at Earls Court 1975 is epic!!! There are so many fantastic live performances from early days too but this is 1st recommendation. The 2nd show is the best.
One frame of 35mm film stock (which this movie was filmed with) has roughly the same amount of information as a 4k digital image. Movies that were filmed on 70mm are equivalent to 8k… a fact that many people find hard to believe.
This whole show is awesome. Sadly, most of it has been taken down here recently. That said, my favorite Zeppelin concert is Royal Albert Hall 1970. A couple favorites from that one are Bring It On Home and I Can't Quit You Baby. The whole show is absolutely amazing tho! So excited you're back to doing Zeppelin!
The MSG version of "Dazed and Confused" is in my mind one of the all-time iconic performances of rock music, but unfortunately it got taken off RUclips a while back. I guess they want you to buy the movie - you could do worse! I wasn't actually a great fan of LZ until I saw it in a movie theatre, but I came away converted!
You nailed it, Biz. Every dude in there knows their girl would dump them in a second for any of those 4 on stage. But...the girls also knew they would be dumped in a second if their man was up there. So hopefully they all went home and "appreciated" each other to the fullest. 😉
Tickets are free, pay at the door. Pull up a chair and sit on the floor! Bwahaha! Biz, I've been sick for almost an entire month and you still somehow make me laugh! I hope you don't ever stop this channel! It brings me joy and that speaks volumes. Speakin of volume...Turn it the Ef up and let's git it!
@@watchbizmatik Thanks. Whatever I've got is crazy! I went to bed with a fever last night and woke up fine. My best friend actually went to the hospital and got a IV bag of antibiotics for 2 days. Came home and was sick again about 4 or 5 days later. Wash your hands! This shit is no joke!
Love the random shit that comes out your mouth. So please continue not to hold back! Those who know music. Talking like the ones who teach music theory, et al all say the same thing: Bonham. Without taking anything away from the others either. He's the glue that allows the chaos of everyone singing and playing in different time stamps/signatures. He is referred to as the "human metronome" . Following is a link that is definitely worth watching. Dude has excellent content as well. ruclips.net/video/UvOm2oZRQIk/видео.html
All their live performances are absolutely magic!

I'm tellin' ya - DAZED AND CONFUSED, all 28 glorious minutes!
I was just reading that Plant says this is his favorite, vocally.
My baby girl is named Zeplyn for a reason. Nice pull, yo! One of my faves.
HELL YEAH!!!!

I have been playing guitar for 42 years, but damned if I can do it with my guitars hanging as low as Jimmy has his. He is just too fucking cool.
Another great reaction.
This stage performance was completely killer. They were so tight and the film crew was all over it, well recorded and preserved. A top shelf gem!
There will never be another Led Zeppelin...and live is the best of all!!🎶 "In My Time Of Dying" live at Earls Court 1975 is amazing to see!!
Was fortunate enough to see them in 1977 when they were touring after Presence.
Absolutely they put themselves heart and soul into their music
The best to grace the stage

Do them all, Biz! :)
jimmy KILLS it here! i prefer this to the studio version even though its unusually similer to it, sooo much energy and fun

Wish I had been his urologist...
Audience reactions are indication of the culture and the times.
Here's about 12 minutes of pure joy to listen to, "The Song Remains the Same/The Rain Song" from this same show.
This is Nuts! Way better than the studio version.
And that is a rarity for Zeppelin, given how incredible they were in the studio. Of course, this live performance has been slightly produced.
@@Cosmo-Kramer Agreed.

You made the right choice doing this one!!! Have you done “Heartbreaker?” If not, you should ♥️♥️
The "ocean" is the audience.
So fn good

Dazed and Confused, if you can find it.
JPJ is the secret sauce of Led Zep. The crotch is what we loved the most😉Led Zep is still the best band of the 70’s hands down!
You take one from the other, Zepp doesnt exist otherwise
😅
Yes what a fucking riff from the 'riff master' Jimmy Page the greatest riff master of them all. Love your reactions sir ❤
Led Zeppelin # 1 I haven’t seen you do a reaction to Robin Trower, Bridge of Sighs
Hahaha...a perplexed audience....that's right!!!
I was at the 1977 show at MSG! STILL REMEMBER THE WHOLE SHOW'S! I was 14yrs old! My mom Strunk my Zeppelin concert tee's😡

“Dazed & Confused” live at MSG is my second favorite song of all time, #1 is Rainbow “Stargazer” DIO 🤘🏼
Any song from the zep concert in the garden 1973
