Celtics played as a team. 9 Final's Rings in 11 years , now hear comes another TEAM originated, and another dynasty just started! Two of the best teams in the history of the NBA, the common thread is the draft and defence first, all other GMs don't trust their instincts and try to buy their hardware, Golden State developing and actually pay the draftee who works hard and is rewarded with a multi-year contract and is in the rotation, Jordan Poole is a perfect example, Rookies see the rewards and the culture and of course, The Final's Ring! I will say, next year's Finals 💍 will be won by the Bench! And when the big three leave ,these bench players will win a Final's Ring 💍! It's the Worriers' DNA!
Warriors have well built and sustainable winning culture top down from the owners, front office and probably the towel boy all on the same page. A lot of teams are are emerging with this mindset too. Suns, Boston, Bucks, Nuggets. Teams like Nets and Lakers are still stuck in the Super team era.
This is a great observation!! Golden State has it figured out on the culture spectrum. Teams that are still on the "superteam" wagon are going to get left behind. They're getting left behind. Warriors made the same mistake going that way getting KD. But they had a great winning culture already before him. Cavs had built a super team, so they felt they needed ro in order to beat them, and they were probably right. But I'm glad KD left. It gave the organization a chance to realize and remember who they are. They can revolutionize players and make them better as long as they are pliable. Wiggins is a down right superstar now! On another team, does he become that in this time? I'm not confident that he would. Gary Payton II, who was applying for a camera job or something with the team.... look at this dude! Yeah, Curry is my favorite player, and a bona-fide superstar no doubt, they don't win without him. But major credit has to be given to Kerr and the entire organization for the culture they've built. It's something special. It should be the goat of organizations. Over everybody, past and present.

Im a warriors fan, but i really had no expectation whatsoever for them positively before the playoffs but after the nuggets series i was kinda "eh i think its just a fluke, lets see if they can beat memphis" a way harder challenge. Then thats that.
Kendrick Perkins is really consistently bringing down the quality of the show. He makes watching ESPN content so tough at times. I don't get why ESPN is pushing him so much.
The ting that Perk and his ilk just cannot stand is that the golden state warriors are only going to be better next year with you and experience that they used to beat the Celtics
When there's the conversation about top NBA players I think for the most part people are just referring purely to basketball skills. But if the conversation is about the player's ability to win, then there are skills outside of basketball to that effect. Skills that I think Steph really exemplify. His style of leadership, almost in stark contrast to Bron, sure they both lead by their plays, but his style of leadership seems less authoritarian and more lifting. He brings out the best in his teammates. There's no doubt in my mind Jordan Poole would not have flourished the way that he has if he was on another team. Steph's leadership played a big role in his development. There's a reason why some of the greatest in the NBA have and never will win a championship ring. Because basketball is a team sport, and no one man can do it all by himself and Steph seems to have this aura that makes the people around him play better.
Yes, extremely underappreciated when talking about the GOAT or other lists of the top players is their leadership skills and how they set the culture of the team and their willingness to sacrifice to win. Everyone talks about how unselfish Curry is and how unselfish the Warriors are, and they are that because of Curry, and Kerr, but it would not work without Curry. When people rank Harden and Westbrick, for examples, in the top 75 all time it makes me a little crazy because both were the reasons their teams never made it to the top with their selfishness and negative effects on team culture. You can do incredible things on the court, but if it is all about you and your ego out there and not about the team and the team winning, you actually suck at basketball.
Tbh these next few years have the potential to match their runs from 2014 all the way to 2019 if not better.. this franchise is built for greatness and they play their cards just right
So would you if your predicted winning team was down 2-1 after game 3 and not knowing how they would respond in game 4. Key word was "nervous" that SAS repeatedly referred to.

Stephen A really was on the golden state bandwagon from the start, and only left momentarily because of health, which is understandable. Perk was low key like that with the Grizzlies, but turned as soon as they lost to Golden State and wrote them off as “young and inexperienced”
And these guys as a unit only started playing together in the middle of the playoffs...with all the injuries they had this year...between young talent and cohesion, they'll be even better next year.
First of all props to SAS for predicting the Warriors win at the start of the season when they didnt even believe it themselves. Also assuming health for everyone GSW are gonna be the deepest team next season and should the favorites to go back to back and potentially 3peat

Outside of Memphis, I saw no threats in the West, and while I was worried about the Heat I thought Warriors would prevail in the end. If Duncan Robinson's three point shotting had stayed at last year's percentage and Tyler Herro was not injured, I think they would have crushed Boston.
@@tribalypredisposed That's a Cap. Boston had a Rob Williams that was at 70% and a Marcus Smart at 75%. If both those guys are healthy they beating the Heat in 6. And the Warriors in 6 to win the title.
Fun Fact: Klay Thompson has played in 6 consecutive finals because he was. Out for 2 years due to injuries.🤔
Thats insane
He said Nets would beat Celtics, he was wrong. He said Bucks would be Celtics, he was wrong.
Clippers are shaking right now
Bucks are going to be scary next year
He's been picking the warriors all year tho
@@billeh60 right he had the Warriors wining it all. At the end it's about championship and he had the Warriors
“Gentlemen, you can’t fight in here! This is the War Room!” - President Merkin Muffley
Y’all definitely need to appreciate SAS today everybody in they feelings mad about they wrong picks but he reminded everyone it’s all fun and games no need for all the negativity
💯
Can't believe Stephen A. had to be the voice of reason here even though he had the absolute right to rub it in their faces. This is why he get paid top dollar by the Network.
Preach SAS, I am with you all the way my brother. Steph and the Warriors are going to gunning for that 5th chip in 2023. Let's go Warriors
CELEBRATE NOW AND FOCUS WHEN THE SEASON COMES.
Curry is not done! That man still hungry for top 5
Congrats to the warriors but ain’t no way I ride with Stephen A he a 🤡 at most times.
For a sec there i thought you said SAS and the warriors getting their 5th chip 😂
Healthy Clips will be the best team in either conference clearly.
Perk had to come to work this morning w/ the doo doo face....love to see it 🤣
Didn't realize that Poole and Wiggins became a factor for the Warriors so I didn't realized how much of a threat Warriors would be plus Steph Curry still playing at an MVP level his current age.
This video shows you why people love watching Stephen A. lol... but I think he is right on this one. If you really look at everything Warriors has right now, it's actually a little frightening...they could actually win 2.
Support the towel boy! 😆😆
that towel boy had me laughin bro thanks for that XD
mavs, toronto, pelicans & cavs should be in that same group with emerging organizations
@@nbafanboy1967 Pelicans? Because they picked an obvious number 1 pick in Zion? Other then that what have they accomplished? Wasting ADs prime and now Zions.
Perk you too big to be this sensitive. Up there frowning 🤣🤣🤣😂
All these analysts had Boston win 80% to 20%, “Boston’s too physical” etc. I’m not even a warriors fan but I knew they’d be back right away once they got through those injuries the past 3 years lmao
Stephen A is my absolute favorite sportscaster! My wife watches General Hospital and he pops up once in a while which is a real treat!
I was really impressed how Steven. A was able to spin a negative Perk energy to positive and totally disarms him by reminding him how great he's been in the past ,brilliant Steven
Perkins is BITTER!!! I love Stephen A Smith!! Smile…relax lol! Today is my day!!! Warriors Championship DNA!!!!! Preach Stephen A Smith!!!!!!!!
Of course he's bitter. Wattiors kept beating his Thunder and cavs. All the while he was just riding KG, KD, LeBron..
Gotta give it to Stephen A! I remember when he said the Warriors were winning it all!!
I gotta say bruh Stephen A. may have been wishy washy during the playoffs about the warriors but you gotta give him credit for him predicting the warriors in the finals at the start of the season
No you don't. The more he saw them, the less he thought they were a Finals team. That's actually a bad thing; you're supposed to get BETTER with more information.
The underrated thing about steph was he conditioning is crazy this dude is running all over court and still doing it in the highest level.
Lol and that’s Take from SA!! 🙌🏼 😂 I love how passionate he is about his Job.. haha 😂 I agree though, Golden States got a great shot at a repeat. It’s really hard to argue that. And man was this Finals series awesome. 👏🏼👏🏼💯🔥
Perk is worst on TV than he was on the court and that says a lot. 🤣
Lmfao
Guy is unbearable to listen to lmaooo
Yeah Perkins is going to get fired
He Sounds Ridiculous At Times..
i always use the thunder in 2k14 and i never use him once dude is like 50overall
If the Warriors win another chip it will depend on the younger guys like Poole and Kuminga taking a step and playing better defense.
Agree, younger players have to develop. Poole is good but he needs another two years at least to develop consistency and maybe add some muscles.
yep..there were a lot of good teams that were injured this year. the warriors will need to be much better if they want to repeat.
@@aayoub1 we tend to forget how young these guys are because of their level of play. straight up though, guys aren't at their peak growth/strength at 22. it's typically 25-30 where they are at peak strength and stamina. kuminga and jordan poole at 24/25 have the potential to be both skilled and athletic.
@@jobunaga4178 don’t forget about Wiggins and looney both crucial young guys as well.
I wonder how Steph will play the next 4-5 years he's still 34 years old and playing at his MVP level.
Also SAS has been taking huge dubs this past year. He has been spitting facts and he has changed so much from the past 3-4 years
not really bro predicted like 7 finals weong in a row💀💀😂
@@tellsteveharveyidontwanthe2283 I'm not talking about his predictions for the finals. I'm saying he's not just blabbering and giving L takes. Most of his other takes have been really good and he has started to relate more to the players and has become softer in his unruly and unfair criticisms. If the Warriors DO repeat, that’s 5 rings in 9 years. That’s showtime Lakers numbers. That truly puts them in the conversation as greatest team of all time.
Solid statement.
If the warriors repeat and have kuminga moody wiseman and poole heading into the third year, sheeeeesh.
Stephen A Smith DOES NOT get enough CREDIT !!! He knows his s#*!
I remember watching First Take at the very beginning of the nba season last yr (it actually may have even been before the season started), Stephen A picked the Warriors from day one. Nobody was talking about them and he warned everybody. It was a great pick !!
Steph's already surpassed Lebron in at least one category: Dynasty. Only a few of the greatest players in history have that on their resumes.
lebrun the cheater dont deserve respect!
Honestly, he been passed LeBron because he literally changed the game with the 3 point shot and is 2-1 in Finals series wins over him while they playing in the same era!
@@brucebruce7065 he is 3-1 against lebron
@@terrellevans9079
Yeah you right, my mistake there. Which only makes the argument, to me at least, that Steph has had a better career overall and a bigger impact on the game. Honestly, he is the best of this generation of players

STEPHEN A WAS RIGHT 1 TIME THIS WHOLE NBA SEASON
It was the best thing to be right about tho

I'm with SAS.
Everyone had the GSW down & out. There were those who said that Boston was going to sweep them. But Steph Curry, Klay & all the Warriors reminded everybody who they are.
They are 2022 NBA champions!
Im also taking the clippers!
For a 1st round exit next year. 🤷
You're crazy. They added two starters from the Trailblazers who can play.
😂😂
@@johndarius18 that's why they moved up from a non-playoff team to a first rounder 🤷
😀😀😀😀😃😅
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I wanted Boston to win but knew the GSW were gonna win it all. But glad Curry finally got that finals MVP 💯
Yeah after Game 4 the series is already over, Steph Curry took the life out of Boston Celtics.
Game 4 is the game changer that's because on Curry
fair play Stephen A always believed the warriors would be back and here we are
The ting that Perk and his ilk just cannot stand is that the golden state warriors are only going to be better next year with you and experience that they used to beat the Celtics
Steven A wasn't talking like this all year...Warriors in 7...
Never was 100% on board...kept studdering and bitting his nails...
You can do incredible things on the court, but if it is all about you and your ego out there and not about the team and the team winning, you actually suck at basketball.
you sumed it well!
@@tribalypredisposed yeah I agree mj is the goat definitely
Screw that his skills on the court is second to none! don't sell the Da GOAT that short. That is the media referencing size with ability
Tbh these next few years have the potential to match their runs from 2014 all the way to 2019 if not better.. this franchise is built for greatness and they play their cards just right
Stephen A gotta call out Perk a few times over the summer
full respect and love for how Stephen A has believed in Warriors from the very beginning! Warriors for champs again next year! Love from China
Warriors are defensively underrated
That defense came out of no where...
Celts had no answer.
What this the 1st time he’s been right in 12 years
He was right about the Lakers as well.
amd he picked em way before they even got to the finals
He has been rigjt at least one other time im sure
50 years

Jay almost laugh when Stephen A said Perk was three times his size 😂
GSW may not win next year, but they have a great future if they can keep the Curry-Klay-Green alongside the drive of their young core of JP-JK-MM-JW.
Only thing stopping them is injuries
@@leormullakandov1039 i forgot Airdrew Wiggins

Stephen A has doubted the Warriors many times after a loss during the playoffs.

Stephen A was right for the first time in his life so yeah he gonna milk that😂
Look at Perk's face!!!Man....
Perk Providing Stupid Predictions is a FACT! He just hates GSW 😂
Stephen A really was on the golden state bandwagon from the start, and only left momentarily because of health, which is understandable. Perk was low key like that with the Grizzlies, but turned as soon as they lost to Golden State and wrote them off as “young and inexperienced”
Bro Perkins cursed man 😭
And these guys as a unit only started playing together in the middle of the playoffs...with all the injuries they had this year...between young talent and cohesion, they'll be even better next year.
GSW have every piece puzzle of player will complete this team. They are specialist of their each role. This is what makes them a better team.
First of all props to SAS for predicting the Warriors win at the start of the season when they didnt even believe it themselves. Also assuming health for everyone GSW are gonna be the deepest team next season and should the favorites to go back to back and potentially 3peat
Perkins literally hating that Stephen a was correct
I agree w Steven A , WARRIORS DOING IT AGAIN NEXT YEAR💪🏾
I think it is very possible, I expect Klay to be much more consistent next season for obvious reasons, the young guys will be more solid, and Wiseman could be a serious problem once he gets re-acclimated.
Nobody talks about Moody, he had shown great skills and athlethism.
It’s his day. Among all the analysts, he picked the warriors the moment he knew Klay and their core is gonna play this season.
