Dubs had the #2 defense and #1 offense. Boston had #1 defense and #2 offense. Having a #2 defense is good enough to give a #2 offense trouble. But when you have a #1 offense, it usually doesn't matter how good the opposing defense is. Any offense will score on the best of defenses, otherwise we'd have teams going completely scoreless. What do people say even after someone plays great defense and a player still scores?..."Great defense, just better offense." And that's all that happened. I've said it since pre-season. No matter how good teams are, the Warriors just make them look bad.

As a 73 yo gym rat that saw Halveljec, Knight, and Lucas at Ohio State, went to the same HS as Jerry Colangelo and played over 15 before they got to the NBA including Klay Thompson's father, Vernon Maxwell, Robert Reed, Speedy Walton, Kendall Gill, and Graig Hodges who Grandfather was my Little League, baseball coach. I was with Stephen A.; Golden State from the beginning and knew the only thing that could stop them was injuries. But those minor setbacks only lead to a stronger bench. Oh yea, I said in 6.

Wright is wrong pretty much about everything. He flipped his pick because he saw the Dubs lose game 3 when the Celtics were up 2-1. Revisionist Wright deserves to lose his bets. His analytics stats are pretty much useless. He picked the Mavs over the Dubs because he loved how they shot the 3s. As for his flipping to picking of the Celtics, he forgot the Dubs are 2nd in defense. Only thing Wright focused on was Celtics beat the tough Nets, Bucks, and Heat teams but none of those team run the motion offense like the Dubs. Nick is lost as usual as once team play more often they can adjust. The great team adjust in game. Go Warriors!

People really forgot that the warriors had a dominant defense early in the year when they were healthy. Draymond went down and Klay working back from injury dropped them a little bit. The Warriors defense wasn't just great early in the year, it was historically great

It didn't drop off that much. The Warriors ended with a 106.6 rating and the Celtics ended with a 106.2 rating. It's pretty obvious now that the Warriors were actually much better. We just missed some key players for long stretches.

There is no excuse to be surprised by Golden State's defense. None whatsoever.
