I'm 20 years old living in my own first apartment, and Survivorman is one of the few positive consistencies I've had ever since I was a child. Not only is it entertaining, but it's genuinely real, which is part of what's so entertaining about it. The older I get, the more I appreciate the nostalgia and the work you do. not too sure about that. i'm used to watching guys who go in with nothing, Survive That, Dual Survival, Matt Graham, Ed Stafford, Hazen Audel etc. i recently watched my first Survivorman episode (romania) and this chap went in more kitted out than a mid-sized DIY store... he had a lighter, matches, ferrell rod, alcohol stove, energy and protein bars, beef jerky, a full cook-set with 3 containers for water, sealable plastic and garbage bags, modern compass, he even had 3 different fleeces despite simulating someone "on a day hike". he walks about on some trails and then proceeds to trigger a GPS signal and just wait for the rescue team to come find him. at one point he even spends a good 10 minutes doing a tech keynote on his various recording methods and the captivating world of SD cards and batteries...
not doubting he may know his stuff, but there was literally 0 demonstration of any primitive or bush craft skills, hunting, trapping, navigating or orienteering, shelter building, fire starting or anything else you'd expect from an expert demonstrating how to handle oneself in a survival situation...
I truly believe that Survivorman was and is the greatest piece of television ever done. Real, entertaining, and could save your life if you pay attention. Thank you, Les.
I absolutely LOVE this show. I remember a few years ago a couple of boys fell in a frozen lake and survived, they were asked how did they learn what they knew and they said two words..”SurvivorMan” they learn from Les on what to do in that situation. Fooking awesome!!!
Glad that Survivorman FINALLY had a situation where he was not killing himself to find small quantities of each thing that he needs. This is one episode where he had it nice, after 2nd day.
Jungle survival, when you have some training and know what won't kill you, is one of the easiest.. just because the extreme abundance of food. Especially if you're in one with no large predators hunting you.
This show was always so much better than man versus wild. When Les Stroud says he’s gonna go into the jungle with nothing but himself and a camera, you know there’s not a crew right next to him.
Man vs Wild lost me, I think in Scotland, when Bear set himself up for the night. They stopped filming, loaded into their vehicles and went to a hotel. The next morning they came back to the location and resumed filming. The show may still have information and be entertaining, but he is NOT doing it. I know he can, but how many times have they faked it or staged an encounter or event? We'll never know. Survivorman is real. Big. Difference.
Information? He's not a survival expert man, there's a huge difference. He's really a fraud. I know what's he's done, but he does not have the knowledge to teach survival.

And then there are the waterfalls there are so many beautiful waterfalls and the nature that surrounds them is lush and lively as can be the journey alone to the different water falls can be breathing taking because the roads are surrounded by rainforest and there is this one beautiful lake where a durmant volcano once stood and around the island there or different hot natural hot springs . There is much more about Grenada that I didn't speak about. If you would like to know more or see pictures taken there you can text me on Instagram I'll send you pictures or tell you more. My Instagram is Microxxd_ltd
@@Microxxd Thank you for your detailed description! It sounds lovely. 😊 Maby I will fly over for a trip.
Are the people there nice too?
@@desertshield yeah definitely and friendly too you should visit
I've learned one thing, if your lost in the wilderness, Les is a person you'd want with you.👍
If there's one important thing that Les has taught me about the jungle, it's that I have zero business going to the jungle.
Finally a thriving video
Les defined the genre and is still the best. I'm so glad you got your youtube channel going!
I've appreciated less all these years of watching and more I've appreciated that he's remained humble, real and level-headed!
It’s 2 am and I’m sitting here scrolling through RUclips and I see a video called “survivorman” and I’ve never been more intrigued to click on something
You’re in for a treat!
Let's go🌿
you made a great choice..enjoy
Watching this made me appreciate the nice cool glass of fresh water with ice on my desk right now.
Watching this made me appreciate the feeling of fullness from eating a nice meal.
Watching this made me appreciate the nice warm house and bed I get to live in.
All in all, Im grateful that I have those things right now.
Here i am completely speechless having watched every single episode to now see this GEM
i used to fall asleep to your shows on netflix for years. Seen this one probably 50 times by now. Best survival show
Huge Fan. I can never get tired of watching Les Survive.
Me Esther , He is AWESOME. From USA
You save lives Les and entertain simultaneously. I watch this show just before bedtime and the first thing in the morn bright and early. Thank you 🤗 love from Finland 🇫🇮
Thank you again for continuing to upload these amazing videos for us. You’re the best, man.
Oh yes! Les Stroud doing survival is one of my favorite things to watch. Glad he's still doing it.
After I first watched Les Stroud I quit watching bear grills this man is 100% for real
Facts
100% wished to be this guy my dude!
I can't stand Grills... He's annoying and he always does a lot of things that seem really dumb to me
At any given time all les has to do is either push a button or radio in and his rescue crew will descend on him in mere moments, this is not a real life survival situation in its truest form, obviously. Only difference is he films himself. It’s television.
@@thenumberofthebeast2 that is true and I seem to remember an episode where he had to used it, but he is still better at this and doesn't really rely on on that as a out.
I always love these shows and think about them when I'm in the wilderness part of my state
I started watching Survivorman with the "10 days" series. Since then, was actively looking for ways to watch. Thank you very much for putting these on YT... Loving everything... 😁✌️🇵🇭
All the love in the world for Les and the ridiculous efforts he goes through to inform and entertain us.
It's so green and dark there, the colors feel like they are supporting the mood.
Les, I am currently thru hiking the arizona trail. You have no idea how much you have helped me. No sweat or die here ;) crazy snow and elevation!!
Les, you have inspired so many people. Thank you for providing this for us to view for free. I fall asleep to survivorman every night. Your always calm voice puts me at ease and able to rest. Thank you
Just discovered I can rewatch all of these on RUclips, one of my favorite shows growing up and it’s refreshing especially with COVID seeing you do so much stuff outdoors. The great thing is that the years haven’t diminished the quality, if anything I comprehend more as I get older and it makes watching more enjoyable. Thank you Les for everything you do.
All i can say is thank you for releasing these on youtube for me and my family and everyone to enjoy.
Les kicks MacGuyver's ass any day of the week, on any continent in the world. Period, end of story. This man is a legend.
@Wally Fish McGyver gets locked up, and then has to improvise his way out. Les does surviving
Great to see Les joy in reaching his fruits within his Grenade jungle struggles. A greater smile to raise your inner spirits amongst the climbing, ants, heavy downfall and other nasty jungle creatures.
Yeah, man. You are definitely an enduring influence on the world. Strong, chill, curious, smart. Awesome, dude.
Les, you're a gift to us all. Thank you for sharing the series to youtube.
Thank you for everything that you do Les. It’s such a good feeling to see you doing well.
Have you seen Les in Grenada island? thats one of my fav episodes
I remember watching Survivorman about 15 years ago when I was a kid and I still love it
I gotta say, I really do appreciate you, your videos, and everything you do man!
Hey buddy, grew up watching your show. You helped me realize the mind is the ultimate tool. If you use it you remain alive.
Les is amazing. The Stevie Wonder of survival, if you will (with some serious musical chops as well!) I started watching his show over a decade ago and have watched them all countless times. Never gets old because it’s authentic. The amount of experience and work it takes to make it look this easy is to be admired. I knew this dude was authentic when he filmed himself crossing a glacier, which meant he also had to go back and get the camera!
i know what granada is like . was their in 1983 in operation urgent fury . glad i found your channel , miss survivorman . can't believe people liked that bear moron more ! keep up the good work les .
I was also deployed there. 82nd Airborne. We actually got a combat Infantry badge
This was a fantastic episode. Thanks les so much for placing these here for us to enjoy. Your a wealth of knowledge and it’s truly appreciated!
My beautiful island Grenada🇬🇩
I always loved watching Les Stroud's Survivor Man when I was a kid.
Now I am married and have 2 kids of my own and Les Stroud is on RUclips.
I am glad he's still the same.
My kids like watching his TV shows.
Keep up the good work, I am looking forward for more New Episodes.
Stay Awesome Les Stroud. 😎👍
Les inspired me to wildcamp and explore. Thank you Les for sharing your skills and videos with us.
I used to watch every episode he put out while it was on TV, there were a lot of shows of survival but they always had crews with them and to me some of them felt kinda fake and scripted. But with Les it was genuine because he was alone and he was doing all the filming and I even learned a few things from him and used them while I was working for Yellowstone national park as we were backpacking out in the country to work on trails that were washed out or needed repairs. I love him for posting all his episodes on RUclips for us to watch takes me back as a kid. Thank you les
I'm so glad your channel seems to be really taking off. I remember when you first started out and it was a new experience for you and you were finding your footing with a platform you didn't usually use before for your content. I've watched your show since I was a young kid. Always rooting for you!
I've been watching you with my dad every since I was little.Cant get enough, Irewatch all the time🥰 💚💓💜 Thanks Survivorman, for sharing this with us when most of us cant do these things today. 🏞🏜🏕⛰🏔☺🤍
Les: *Finally, I can sleep better now that I found this abandoned hut.*

Thanks for uploading your content Les. So many great adventures! Always watched your series when I saw it on the tv when I was younger. Keep up the great work!
Favourite thing to look forward to every Friday. Les the legend
Less your the best survivalist on tv. Its a shame that the big foot deal shoved you off TV. I for one dont believe it but regardless. No reason to oust a master. Thank you for your work. 👍🏻🌲🤝
I’ve been watching les since I was 12. when he was on the discovery channel so many years ago. I learned so much survival skills and and lessons I seen hardships he been through and stress wow I have so much respect for him u deserve so much more views
The real Survivorman. You’re an OG les.
