And some other stuff I forgot to mention according to the only apparent speedrunner of this game In the first level, if the doctor gets stuck, you don't need to lead her out, just look at her and run to the roof. The game doesn't check if she actually followed you, only that she's trying to, thus if you go to the end of the level, the game considers the objective complete. At the end of the second level, you don't have to take out all the bad guys when you catch up with the weapons dealer, just the dealer himself. Take him out and the level ends right then and there In the final level, enemies can apparently shoot through walls making the sniper worthless but I never experienced this myself.
Ahhh, old school bad game reviews. It's like I'm back in 2009. Thank you for the review. The PS2 had a lot of shovelware that used the War on Terror as a useful theme.
Great video as always! This marvelous disaster of a game reminds me of CTU Marine Sharpshooter series. You should try it - it's bush era terrorist romp that aged like milk. Wonderful. Also i have to say ContraWolf you are one of the few youtubers that i watch every single time they post something - your style, your way of thinking, really great man.
Much appreciated my guy, thanks for watching and by the way, I'm very familiar with the Marine Sharpshooter games. I've only played the third one but if you can believe this, I actually enjoyed it. Reminded me a lot of the first Sniper Ghost Warrior. You can find them all on myabandonware.com and for free, I'd say they're good for a weekend romp or something like that
@@ContraWolf i get your point they have something going for them. Honestly i kinda miss this kind of semi scripted linear shooters - don't get me wrong i love games like ground branch or arma 3 or zero hour, but i would love to se simple remakes of games like first sniper ghost warrior or marine sharpshooter with just a little bit of profesionalism so that they don't have huge issues. This is why i hope for new IGI game. Probably my favourite period game would be Delta Force 2 - it has unique visual style, and great missions, but it's perfectly playable with no game breaking issues. Few days ago i've replayed first sniper ghost warrior and this game with slight improvements could be simply great. But maybe this is exactly what will happen, current technology makes it easier than ever to make good fps without huge budget behid it, and maybe we'll se more games in that mid 2000 style poping out. Think of Medal of Honor Rising Sun, Frontline, European Assault, Vanguard ported to PC...
This game reminds me of Fugitive Hunter: War on Terror (also another PS2 game). It's worth checking out if you wanna play a crappy shooter where you get an Osama Bin Laden boss fight like if it were a fighting game.
I'm very familiar with that game, having played it myself a few years ago. It was done by Black Ops entertainment, the same people behind the Terminator 3 licensed game
Atomic Planet have a track record of making horrible games. They also developed two other infamous first person shooter games, such as Daemon Summoner and Beverley Hills Cop, both of which are so terrible, they actually make this game look like a masterpiece by comparison. They also teamed up with an infamous shovelware publisher, known as Blast! Entertainment, where they made several horrible movie tie-in video games.
Remember getting this new for 20 bucks for the PS2 Even at half the price of a regular PS2 game I felt ripped off, I sometimes get PTSD from the final levels in the tunnels and that awful performance.

Both games are fantastic, but nothing compares to Ghost Recon and Operation Flashpoint, that early 90s to mid 2000s military aesthetic is so fucking good dude, M81 Woodland Camo and M16s is peak military game from the early 2000s stuff
The UI depiction of the M16 looks really fucked up, like somebody skewed it width wise. A 12 year old's drawing of an army gun. But also the in-game model is so low-res that I thought it was supposed to be an SA80 until I saw the reload animation.
I thought this was a WWII shooter from the Thumbnail. And by that I mean a game developed during WWII RUclips thinking this is Goldeneye is an insult to Goldeneye
Dang, I've never even heard of this game. I guess that was a good thing. However, I've discovered my own game that sucks. Call of Duty Vanguard 2021. Can't wait for that spiritual successor to FEAR finally releasing in June on Steam.
Wow, the reload animations in this game are awful! (even by the standards of the time) the M16''s reload is bad (pulling a charging handle on the guns handguard?), but the AK-47s is awful, the magazine doesn't even leave the gun when its reloaded! how did they fuck that up!? and the snipers reload is pretty bad too Yeah, there are better FPS games on the PS2 I'd rather play over this turd, thats for sure! i think Atomic Planet was responsible for a bunch of other shovelware games too
The reloading sound effects are completely out of sync as well, with the sound effect playing long after the reload animation has stopped Atomic planet entertainment was also responsible for other Timeless Classics such as SAS anti-terror Force, World War II Soldier, Beverly Hills Cop, Skyscraper and if you can believe this, Stealth Force 2. Yes, this game got a sequel and it was the last game they made before they went bankrupt in 2009.
@@ContraWolf Stealth Force got a second game!? who thought this needed a sequel!? and yeah, that Beverly Hill Cop game looks like it totally sucks from what videos i have seen of that dumpster fire of a game

I think you're the only person I'll ever encounter that genuinely defends this game… I don't know what you think this game is supposed to do but it's a barely functional pre-alpha that had no business being on store shelves in its current condition
Well having only played the demo of Terra Wars but also having played a decent amount of marine Sharpshooter 3, that's a pretty tough claim to buy since I had a much better experience with both of those games than I did here
