Hi Gemma.. just had my ACL with hammie graft and I’m two days Post Op. what a journey and it’s just the beginning.. sleep is not fun! Thanks for sharing it’s helping me out x
Hey Lara, I am so pleased you have found the videos helpful. Those first few weeks are so tough right?! I hope you are recovering well and managing to get some sleep. It gets so much easier as the weeks pass by. x
Hi Gemma! I also recently had ACL reconstruction in October. I was wondering, when you are able, to do a gentle yoga video for those with a knee injury. I am really missing my yoga practice and can't wait to get back.
Hey Carrie. Sure thing, I'm 6 weeks post op now so I think in a few more weeks I'll be able to film again something gentle for us all 🙏🏼 thank you for your comment and suggestions 😊
Hello , I got my acl and meniscus surgery about 5 days ago and You are right the pain is crazY 😫 .Doctors gave me codeine and aspirin for pain but I felt like none of those even work 🤷♂️Day 2 and 3 was the worse . Day 4-5 feeling much better but because I started icing and I truly believe icing is the key! pain is gone down a lot . Anyways goodluck take care on your recovery 💪
Hey, Thanks for your message. I can totally relate to how painful those first few days are. I naively didn't think it would be that intense but it was. I remember waking up in the night or the morning to go and use the bathroom, when I lifted my leg out of the bed it was horrendous the pain. On the bright side though, it doesn't last! i am now 8 months post surgery and my knee is getting back to its normal ways of functioning. Good luck with your recovery!
Hello Kristina. Thanks for your comment. Yes, I did lose quite a lot of muscle mass from my thigh but not very much from my calf. I am now 8 months post op and I can very slowly start to see some muscle mass coming back. I do hope to have muscle back there at 18months post op. I weight train most days now. I intend to do an update very soon! hope this helps x
Thank you Gemma, good to hear that you're doing well! I'll be waiting for your next update. I am now 6 weeks and was given green light to remove my brace. Starting to learn how to walk again tho it really is a challenge specially that I lost a lot of my calf quads hamstring muscles. My knee feels so weak when walking.
Garden pees will not get your knee cold enough. You need to remove all bandages and put ice straight on your skin until it hurts. This or just get the game ready.

Beautiful how long was a brace on or on crutches
Hi Gemma, keep on watching your vid, just wanted to ask if how much muscle mass have you lost from your calf and thigh?
