I have lived in NC all my life, and totally agree with what you said about the weather and seasons. I can remember wearing Halloween masks as a child with sweat pouring down my face.
Yes! I think it’s taken me awhile to truly realize how short our Autumns and Springs are!
In Southern California, the temperatures are just warming up! September and October are the hottest months in my opinion. Usually on Thanksgiving day, it's 82 degrees as I pull the turkey out of the oven! I love sweaters! But can only wear them at night! 😢
Wow, yes that’s so different than here in NC! Usually July/August are our hottest months and by November it’s getting into sweater season.
Could you turn the jumper into shorts instead of pants/capris?
What a nice treat to have a few hours to your self to garage sale, thrift and lunch. You seem to have a great fashion sense to know what will fit and suit you. Loved you treated your self to tortoise hair clip.
Thank you Sally! It’s all a learning process and I feel like I’m constantly learning about my style, what I like, and how I like things to fit and feel. And yes, my husband is wonderful and the few hours out by myself were lovely!
All the tops you've got look amazing on you. The colours are just perfect. Maybe the turtle neck jumper (sweater) is my least favourite one. Not because the style or colour is not good on you because it is but the fabric composition is not great. I'm a knitter and in my experience acrylic and polyester make you feel hot in hot days but don't make you warm in cold days, at least in my experience. In any case, comfort with clothes is always a matter of how you feel in them 😊

Love the brown sweater! The sleeves are very chic. Fabric is always an issue for me, too. It seems more and more clothing at the thrift store is made cheaply and with plastic versions of materials. Finding cotton or cotton blends is a rarity. Can't wait for a new capsule wardrobe video!

I'm a spring. Most of the colors you showed, Id identify as spring colors. If you haven't gotten your season done, id first see which metal looks best, gold or silver. That narrows it down to silver= summer(red with more blue, so mauevey) or winter(red with less blue). Gold=spring(red but with more yellow) or autumn(red with yellow but more green) . Then, within those 2 options, do you look best in clear and bright colors or muted and blended? Springs are bright and clear. Autums are earthy and more blended. You can be a light or pastel spring. That 'Thanksgiving' top looked to be Spring's Cinnamon.
Old Navy is my go to clothing store. Great quality and good pricing. I live in Florida so we really don’t have seasons. 🤷🏼♀️
