Good looking man! They can be touchy at time if the instructions on them aren’t so clear per-say. Better to see it done then random button pushing hoping it’s right lol felt like Dede from Dexter’s-Laboratory 😅🤪
Do you know ho to turn on the heat for a PRO thermostat? It’s cold right now here and I’m just wondering how you turn it on. Please help if you know, thanks :)
Thank you. I moved to a new house and every thermostats is different throughout. The rest didn’t have them hidden and I couldn’t figure it out. The settings button didn’t show any of the options. A big duh though I should have removed the plate. Thanks so much!!!!
Thank you for the info! I have a question, Could you tell me please, if after setting the thermostat, sometimes during the day or night I change the temperature up or down, because the inconsistent air ventilation in this old house, would affect the thermosta or the heating system? Thanks in advance for your kind help!
@@mioangel1227 Adjusting your thermostat multiple times per day should be fine. This is basically what the higher-end smart thermostats do when you have different temperature settings for different times of day. Might be worth upgrading to a Nest Thermostat so you can just set your schedule with different temperatures and not have to manually adjust multiple times per day.
@@EverydayHomeRepairs Thank you so much for your kind help! Very much appreciated! I have that kind of thermostat, I'll set a new schedule for the day. Many blessings! 💚🙏
Hmmmm, that doesn't sound good. If you are comfortable with troubleshooting the furnace you can go and inspect the burners to see if anything looks like it was burnt. If not, you can call in a HVAC technician and they should be able to help.
Very dumb design. Should be hinged and have a little tab to open it. We have had this thermostat before and I never understood why they made it that way. If you lost the cover it looks very ugly
When you spent your entire life without AC so you’re searching this as an adult after buying a house.
Thank you for the video! I could not figure out how to turn the air off, didn’t realize the buttons were hidden
Thanks so much! I went from freezing to warming heat. My dad thinks I am a genius and you saved me bucks for a service call
Thank you so much for this video I couldn’t figure out how to turn off my air, and the whole time it’s hidden buttons inside ☺️
Thanks a lot I live in sunny Florida and were finally getting cold weather. I never had to turn on the heat.
Slide the switch from COOL to HEAT.
That's it.
Done.
👍
But it's still blowing cold air. 😭
Thank you lol I didn’t know about that cover I kept taking the entire front component off on accident
It is tricky and really there isn't any indication on the outside where you should push or pull.
How longs does it take for the heat to start blowing???
I'm gonna try this omg 😮...thank you

Are you worried about frequent adjustments for the temperature causing damage to your furnace?
@@EverydayHomeRepairs yes.

Ours did that once. It ended up being dust that collected over time burning up. But definitely have someone check it out.
Our upstairs works fine but main unit acts strange.
