I recommend an album by King Krule as well, maybe start with 6 Feet Beneath The Moon. He has a really cool sound that blends elements of rock, jazz, hiphop, etc. Real different and creates a certain mood. Also somehow has ties with people in the hip hop scene and loved by rappers, such as Tyler and Earl.
bob! i dont watch every reaction you do but everytime i tune into one of your videos i know that ill get quality content by someone who actually cares about music and art and what theyre listening to. i love so much how much effort you put in and i plan to continue to support you for the years to come.
RICHAXXHAITIAN and also Almighty So 2 are 2 top tier releases he missed this year but I'm curious how he would deal with Mach without the lyrics because of DMCA he put on Genius which is also very interesting topic itself

At the end of the day, I love hearing your response toward music. I really like your respect towards the hip hop scene, and I haven't really thought of it from an angle of respect. It kinda makes me rethink some of my videos a bit. That being said, it would be phenomenal for you to check out more than hip hop on the channel even on your own time. *Hoping* to get to Donda before the year is done, but we'll see what happens. That's a long album, so it makes it more difficult, especially with holidays and weekend activities.
@@bobthepoppop you could always skip the part 2s at the end of the album. They're not really necessary and it'll cut about 20 minutes off the total length.

I love hearing that you wanna add some "outside" albums. I feel like there is a lot of metal and R&B mixes that have come up these passed few years that I'd love to see reactions to. One of those being the album DEATH OF PEACE OF MIND by Bad Omens
definitely second all the Mach-Hommy requests, but my personal album of the year would go to Ka's release The Thief Next To Jesus. really do hope you get to it at some point, aswell as diving further into his catalog. it has been such a good year across so many genres, and would totally be open to more outside of hip-hop on the channel like the Magdalena Bay album.
Super excited to see these plans come into fruition hopefully in 2025, I do agree that reacting to new stuff would definitely be more helpful and keep the Channel healthy for the future, also I very much am with the idea of reacting to smaller artists there are definitely some hidden gems that we would love to see you react to but tbh above all I’d love to see some old hip hop classics thrown into the mix every now and then! I feel like the fact that this channel has been going for 3 years and still we haven’t got to artists like gang starr is crazy! Also would love to see you check out more of the wu tang solo stuff, you loved liquid swords and OB4CL so why not explore more? Still incredibly excited and looking forward to the future of this channel ❤️
Happy to hear, Bob. Happy Holidays! Stay safe, stay healthy. Not sure if you care for obscene, crass trap music, but if you’re willing to react to that genre, I would suggest Fenix Flexin Vol. 1 by Fenix Flexin.

Hey Bob, just wanted to say I’ve been in the hospital for the last week with some inflammation in my spinal cord. It’s been a long week of IV-injected steroids and antibodies, and all of the headaches and pain that came with it to fix whatever the hell is wrong with me 😭😭 I don’t want to taint my comment by shoving a whole list of records I’m dying for you to listen to (cause believe me I have a bunch), and just wanted to focus this comment on letting you know your channel has been a great source of entertainment and happiness for me personally across the last couple years; and most especially within the last week as sort of an escape from everything that’s been going on. Love Ya Bob ❤❤
Bob u talking about smaller artists has me wishing for u to react to the album I’m working on when it drops, my current one isn’t anything crazy but I promise the next one will be a classic
As long as the core of the channel is still hip hop ... my worry has always been opening the floodgates and hip hop being pushed aside several weeks a month. When I'm definitely here for hip hop. Still waiting on that Clipse reaction. 😅
If you are happy with your channel size and don't feel the pressure to grow it by appealing to algorithms then it sounds like you should just listen to what you want to and go down the directions that you find yourself enjoying. If theres a hip-hop album that people really want to hear, they'll let you know, but I think you'll be surprised at how much crossover there is between the hip-hop reaction audience and other rym-core albums like imaginal disc.
Love your stuff bob i recommend “Oroku Saki” by Mickey Diamond it’s such a great underrated album he’s a smaller artist with about 20K monthly listeners on spotify so i think it would be a good reaction❤
I think rap music is just one of the more active audiences, but by no means should you feel restricted to it. I think most people who watch this channel know youve been on a journey through hip hop, there was joy in seeing a person hearing it for the first time, but of course its not the only good music. many times if a rapper has the same flow for years their audience will want variety. there is just a barrier in that some rap fans often wont give other music a chance. Ive wanted to reccomend many artists but i thought maybe they didnt fit with the channels journey. Your choice on what to listen to each week has always been great, i would rather you jump around to what interests you rather than to have burned through all the classic albums everyone knows and loves. That being said ive always wanted a Trippie Redd reaction from you, he does rap and the lyrics are never crazy deep but id love to see your thoughts on the sound ❤🎵 edit: 7:25 exactly, there is always people need music to be in a box, i am glad your not one
Hi Bob, I would say that hip hop, r&b and soul music are very much intertwined in that many hip hop samples come from old soul and r&b albums. In saying that there are many albums like from stevie wonder and Marvin Gaye that would be great listens outside hip hop without abandoning the essence of hip hop.
One of my friends “boybeige” is dropping an album soon. He keeps pushing it back since it’s his first album and he’s a perfectionist, but some of his songs are up on spotify. His biggest is almost at 2 million streams. He’s just a rapper/artist from norcal, but the part of norcal where nobody ever comes from- the mountains. I totally think you should listen to his album when it drops. He loves reaction content and reviews.
If you wanna get back into the UK hip-hop side of things at any point, I’d heavily recommend Loyle Carner’s Not Waving But Drowning. I don’t see a lot of people, especially outside the UK talk about/react to this album, and it is a great project. Up there with one of my favorites of all time, it probably won’t get views but i’ll still recommend it.
@ a classic albums day would be super cool. At least one a month would get you through some awesome albums. 12 a year wouldn’t be bad. I hope you can do it. You’re missing out on some awesome music outside of Hip Hop brother.
@@John__Doughmaybe one day every 3-4 months? That way it doesn’t overwhelm the balance he has going now but it’s still a somewhat substantive amount per year?
i'd love to see you react to indie music and some other genres like twin fantasy - car seat headrest, slouvaki - slowdive, loveless - my bloody valentine, ants from up there - black country new road, any black midi album.
Im a huge fan of hiphop but there are a lots of other genres that I listen and some of these albums are masterpiece so Im totally happy with you listening other genre
Yes Bob please do Imaginal Disc AS WELL AS The New Sound by Geordie Greep!! They are the number 1 & 2 albums of 2024 on almost every site and both incredible
hey bob! quick write-up/ramble here from denmark at 4:30 am, i hope it’s semi-coherent. i know requests in the comments are overdone atp, but i couldn’t help myself :’) first off i’d definitely encourage you to continue with Erykah Badu and do Mama’s Gun. it’s baduizm on steroids, sonically it’s simply just amazing, and even has a J. Dilla produced song. other than that the lyrics are even denser and just incredibly beautiful, the last song, “Green Eyes”, is easily one of my favorite songs ever. also, if you’re ever up for more Dilla, “Fantastic Vol. 2” by Slum Village is arguably produced as well as donuts. not sure if it’s up your alley though, as the lyrics are subpar at best. next up for the more niche older hip hop album as you requested, “Delton 3030” is a sci-fi concept album from 2000, making it perfectly dated in a fun way, as all the technology references are so horribly outdated. if you’ve ever listened to “Clint Eastwood” by Gorillaz it’s made by the producer for that whole album, Dan The Automater, and the song’s rapper, Del Tha Funkee Homosapien (hugely underrated). it’s really fun and again, lyrically dense, though perhaps less emotional and more nerdy and fun. in the same vein, if you haven’t really listened to Gorillaz i’d definitely recommend “Demon Days”; another one of my favorites! it’s produced by Danger Mouse as well, who made the collab album with DOOM at the same time, resulting in a feature on the album. it’s even got a De La Soul feature. it’s less hip hop for sure but it’s still got plenty of elements and is just hard to put a genre on, though i’ve heard it described as “trip hop”. dunno if you’ll see this but i hope you do and consider some of these :) thanks for being allowed to be a part of your journey for all these years, i don’t comment a lot but damn have i watched a lot of your reactions! keep doing you man, excited for another year (:
React to Mac Miller’s Faces. It is one of his darkest and most drug-fueled mixtapes. Although very sad, the production hits hard and is filled with some funny bars to balance out the darkness.
I would absolutely love to see you react and check out stuff in other genres. Hearing your opinion on Sleep Token, Spiritbox, Jinjer, CharliXCX, berlioz, etc would be amazing
I hope you react to an album called pixel bath by Jean Dawson. It’s my favorite album of all time, just a really unique genre bending album combining tons of different sounds that make it very unique. The visuals that come along with the music videos are amazing too
Imaginal Disk The New Sound Lives Outgrown All albums that came out this year that you really should listen to (also, pls listen to Purple Rain if you haven't yet)
Would love to hear you listen to Sampha at some point in the future. Namely Lahai, his album that came out Last year in October. The deluxe dropped about 2 months ago, and it added a few really good tracks. I love your reactions and I would love to see your thoughts on my personally favorite artist. He is an RnB artist, but he’s featured on some amazing hip hop tracks, namely MY EYES, Saint Pablo, Father Time, etc. If you ever wanted to see him, you’d at least get one viewer 😉 I know you talk about wanting to stay in the hip hop sphere, and I believe he’s pretty close. Many hip hop fans also like Sampha, I’ve seen.
Please try to react to the Undun and Game Theory both by the roots 🙏 I think you’ll do a killer job at breaking all the songs in them down, especially the story in Undun
I’m with whatever direction you’re going as a person who doesn’t care to be in one box of music I listen to Hip Hop, little country, R&B, etc if I can vibe to it I won’t deny it lol but just my little two cents it would be nice to see you get into more classics and older music in general from artists in the 90s and 2000s, it’s a lot more to cover in the south such as T.I catalog, Jeezy, Ludacris, more Wayne, more UGK, more OutKast, also since u reacted to NBA Youngboy it would be nice to see u react to the other OGs that had Louisiana on lock before his time like Master P, Boosie and Webbie + collab albums/mixtapes, etc artists…by the way I’m 23 it’s not just “old heads” that’ll love the classics a lot of folks around my age (depending on how they grew up) was vibing to that music at a young age
Armand Hammer/more billy woods would be much appreciated, Bob. they're life changing. paraffin, we buy diabetic test strips, haram, aethiopes, hiding places...
Since you said that you would do other albums outside of hip hop, you should listen to to be kind by swans if you haven’t already. Such a strange, but awesome album
please listen to THE HELLP! the only band that matters in the last decade. alternative with an electronica sound that has a sense of pop for easy digestion in sensibility in their current work and has more stand-alone sound in their early work. you’d love it. theyre small-yet ready to blow up. would be a perfect start to new artists this generation - this generation needs HELLP.

I'm honestly open to listening to essentially anything, it's choosing that is always the challenge
Bob you should also check out more mixtapes this year!
Im a huge fan of hiphop but there are a lots of other genres that I listen and some of these albums are masterpiece so Im totally happy with you listening other genre
Still so many hip hop classics to do Bob !! We need that Donda reaction and hopefully more Lupe Fiasco and Nas!!
I love you Bobby 💋
Yes Bob please do Imaginal Disc AS WELL AS The New Sound by Geordie Greep!! They are the number 1 & 2 albums of 2024 on almost every site and both incredible
Would love to see you explore more artists in the UK or outside of America in general. Stormzy or Ghetts or even Dave’s other albums
hey bob! quick write-up/ramble here from denmark at 4:30 am, i hope it’s semi-coherent.
i know requests in the comments are overdone atp, but i couldn’t help myself :’)
first off i’d definitely encourage you to continue with Erykah Badu and do Mama’s Gun. it’s baduizm on steroids, sonically it’s simply just amazing, and even has a J. Dilla produced song. other than that the lyrics are even denser and just incredibly beautiful, the last song, “Green Eyes”, is easily one of my favorite songs ever.
also, if you’re ever up for more Dilla, “Fantastic Vol. 2” by Slum Village is arguably produced as well as donuts. not sure if it’s up your alley though, as the lyrics are subpar at best.
next up for the more niche older hip hop album as you requested, “Delton 3030” is a sci-fi concept album from 2000, making it perfectly dated in a fun way, as all the technology references are so horribly outdated. if you’ve ever listened to “Clint Eastwood” by Gorillaz it’s made by the producer for that whole album, Dan The Automater, and the song’s rapper, Del Tha Funkee Homosapien (hugely underrated). it’s really fun and again, lyrically dense, though perhaps less emotional and more nerdy and fun. in the same vein, if you haven’t really listened to Gorillaz i’d definitely recommend “Demon Days”; another one of my favorites! it’s produced by Danger Mouse as well, who made the collab album with DOOM at the same time, resulting in a feature on the album. it’s even got a De La Soul feature. it’s less hip hop for sure but it’s still got plenty of elements and is just hard to put a genre on, though i’ve heard it described as “trip hop”.
dunno if you’ll see this but i hope you do and consider some of these :)
thanks for being allowed to be a part of your journey for all these years, i don’t comment a lot but damn have i watched a lot of your reactions! keep doing you man, excited for another year (:
React to Mac Miller’s Faces. It is one of his darkest and most drug-fueled mixtapes. Although very sad, the production hits hard and is filled with some funny bars to balance out the darkness.
So good
I think he listened but said he couldn’t finish cuz it was too sad
Also definitely don’t feel afraid to react to other genres, as long as you stay true people will still respect you
I would absolutely love to see you react and check out stuff in other genres.
Hearing your opinion on Sleep Token, Spiritbox, Jinjer, CharliXCX, berlioz, etc would be amazing
please we need "We're all alone in this together" reaction. Goated album
1:48 you know what else is massive?
AT LONG LAST A$AP youll like it more
I hope you react to an album called pixel bath by Jean Dawson. It’s my favorite album of all time, just a really unique genre bending album combining tons of different sounds that make it very unique. The visuals that come along with the music videos are amazing too
Imaginal Disk
The New Sound
Lives Outgrown
All albums that came out this year that you really should listen to (also, pls listen to Purple Rain if you haven't yet)
POWERS THAT B
I think branching out would be awesome, would love to see you react to other stuff even if hip-hop is still the focus
i would love a loyle carner reaction please Bob🙏🙏
I think definitely expand outside of Hip Hop, there’s a lot of interesting artists that I’d love to get your opinion on - people like Billie
Why do I feel like some smaller hip hop artist like Atmosphere would be right up your alley.
Common & Pete Rock - The Auditorium Vol 1. LLCOOLJ - The F.O.R.C.E. These 2 albums are 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I wouldn't lie to you.
W bob branching out we back up in 2025
Keep going !
Please try to react to the Undun and Game Theory both by the roots 🙏 I think you’ll do a killer job at breaking all the songs in them down, especially the story in Undun
Capital steez amerikkkan koruption (reloaded) PLEASE BOB LISTEN TO THIS !!
PLEAASEEE BOB I KNOW U LIKE JOEY AND STEEZ IS THE REASON JOEY AND PRO ERA BECAME A THING
PLZZZ BOBBBB
DIVE INTO MORE X 🙏
Armand Hammer/more billy woods would be much appreciated, Bob. they're life changing. paraffin, we buy diabetic test strips, haram, aethiopes, hiding places...
Since you said that you would do other albums outside of hip hop, you should listen to to be kind by swans if you haven’t already. Such a strange, but awesome album
pls pls pls review jean dawson sometime i think you would really like his story and his music
AWAKEN MY LOVE REACTION PLEASE I know Gambino is MID but this one is a grail. Sorry Gambino fans 😂
I just realized he hasn’t done this yet. Bob how the fuck have you not heard awaken my love yet???
please listen to THE HELLP! the only band that matters in the last decade. alternative with an electronica sound that has a sense of pop for easy digestion in sensibility in their current work and has more stand-alone sound in their early work. you’d love it. theyre small-yet ready to blow up. would be a perfect start to new artists this generation - this generation needs HELLP.
