We saw “A John Waters Christmas” in Jacksonville FL several years ago. Omg what an experience! He was amazingly energetic and so hilarious! Afterwards he signed books and took photos. He was really sweet ❤! Highly recommend seeing his show if you ever have a chance….What a great exhibit! Thank you so much for this video as I don’t think we’ll ever get to see it in person unless it comes to the east coast?! 🤞

I'm from Baltimore originally. I remember Hair Spray Day. That was the first John Waters movie I ever saw. My son's Dad took me to see it on our first date my senior year in high school. One of my classmates was an extra in it. I've got all his movies.

Since you guys now reside in S. California and are huge fans of John Waters, you should check out John Waters' narration in the documentary, "The Plagues and Pleasures of the Salton Sea." It's a great documentary, and Waters just makes it better.
Openly discussing John Waters or Divine back in the 1970’s really offended people, unless you were with other fans; who mainly went to 2 theaters in NorCal/Bay Area; the Clay Theater in San Francisco, and the UC Theater in Berkeley. A few Waters’ films played at the Castro in SF, but the Clay was Nor-Cal’s home of Trash and Art Cinema (Anything Freaky or Bizarre)!! If you liked unique movies that were never shown at average cinemas, then the Clay or UC Theaters is where you went. The Clay was also home of the very first Midnight Movies like “Night of the Living Dead” and “Rocky Horror”!! I really cherish those days!!
