They really should have just left out Tac Sprint for this title. Completely unnecessary and I'm pretty sure the devs felt the same way. Gotta have that Warzone integration though. Even with that aside though, Im really liking the Beta
One setting that I like in concept but needs tweaking is the tap/hold to interact/reload setting. By default you tap to reload and hold to interact with other objects. The prioritize interact option allows you to tap to reload unless you’re near an intractable object in which case you tap to interact and would need to hold to reload. This makes opening doors and grabbing ammo occur more quickly, but the downside is when you want to quickly reload while over a dropped gun, you’ll pick it up by mistake. I’d like to see this option expanded so you can make an exception with dropped guns is all.
Absolutely. As a Warzone player you pretty much have to use tap to interact to loot efficiently, but reloading is always annoying and delayed. You shouldn’t be able to pick up items outside of your peripheral when you need to reload.
I turn on Sprint Assist and turn that Sprint Delay all the way down to 0, feels so good, full Omni-movement sprint with no delay all the time. If I want to slow down, I just tilt the analog stick slightly.
Ace, your color filter target is only interface right now (in the video) so it only applies to menus. Change to both to have it apply to maps. Unless im wrong
The cool thing about the hybrid setting is that if you tap crouch you slide into a crouched position, but if you hold crouch you slide into a supine position
As an older player, I have found that sprint assist is really necessary. My thumbs just don't do that anymore. Also I'm trying the hud that has the mini map in the center on the bottom. It keeps it much closer to the center of my field of vision. After a certain point, you can't avoid tunnel vision, and the mini map in the corner pretty much disappears. I don't like the mantle and crouch assist, though. You end up mantleing on top of cover you want to hide behind
Changing mini map size and icon scale is so nice… in CoDs since MW2019 the mini map icons have been so small they don’t even pop out and often can’t tell if it is saying higher or lower elevation. I used to be a mini map fiend but found myself looking at it less because I just couldn’t see it as well as I used to
I want to be the one to recommend the Scout HUD preset to everyone. Puts the minimap on the bottom left, killfeed top left. I find that it FEELS like a shorter travel time for my eyes to glance down instead of up. It feels easier, now it takes some getting used to, but I genuinely feel once you’re used to it, it’ll be easier to use, ESPECIALLY if you’re diagnosed ADHD.
Loving the hud settings, always found it difficult to observe the mini map in the top left of my screen - even with safe area reduced to the max - got it at the bottom of my screen now and maxed out the size, game changing, well for me it has been.
Same. I honestly would have put it bottom center if that didn't change it to just be the radar. But bottom left is feeling so much better than top left for me too.
@@shannonjones8877 You can use central command and have mini map centre bottom, unfortunately I think the beta hud is a bit buggy - my safe area keeps getting reset, yesterday I managed to use target tracker and swap the radar for a scaled up mini map which was perfect, can't get that to work today it just keeps swapping the mini map back to radar, central command is cool apart from you get your ammo/equipment/field upgrades just above your mini map which is kind of distracting.
Yep. Dunno if it’s a bug or what, but it has things feeling a lot clunkier than they otherwise would be. Like I’ve got bricks strapped to my knees compared to the guys sliding around on ice.

I have the ADS sens timing glitch and I'm on PS5, playing on controller. Another glitch I found is that "slide maintains sprint" lets you slide very significantly further.
I used TacticalBrit's suggested settings to use sprint assist with the reasoning being you do not want dead movements in this game which will 100% occur when you have to manually activate sprint for every direction. I also cannot play this game with my mouse and keyboard, switched back to controller and starting doing far better.
Try setting the aim assist delay to 750 and see if you still activate the Omni movement by accident. Either that or you can turn off sideways sprint assist, but I think that’s a bigger trade off. The idea is to delay the sprint so you’re not activating lunges in gunfights.
Im so used to auto tac sprint so thats all i really changed so far. I am noticing one thing in particular that im quite happy about. For some reason, all the old cods felt like 0 deadzone was not a true 0. But in this game (at least as of now) it allears to be true 0. For years ive been a 0 deadzone linear player and cod never felt quite right. I use the slope scale at 0.0 and its the closest to linear i can get in cod. I just wish there was a way to turn off the forced aim acceleration.
@@caseycameron5370 no, CoD has native gyro support implemented on PS5 & PC. if you have a regular DS5 / DSE controller you can use it. unfortunately Xbox doesn't support it and their controllers don't have motion sensors.

I wish there was a setting to automatically tac sprint instead of normal sprint whenever that's possible. "Single tap run" is nice, but "sprint restore" and "slide maintains sprint" options don't put you back to tac sprint.

Why do you not use sprint assist? Wouldn’t that help save your controller more since you don’t even have to click into the analog sticks in order to sprint?
Would’ve been nice to know if you’re using a controller with paddles and if you are what those paddles are assigned to. I honestly believe sprint assist and crouch assist are really helpful for people on default controllers.
Perhaps its a platform thing or an interaction with a different setting like auto tac sprint. With the settings I was using on PS5, there was no apparent difference in slide delay.
I have auto tax sprint on. I don’t notice a delay on tap to slide. And if I want to dive I just hold R3(I play on tactical). I tried hybrid but tap to slide works just as good. I don’t need to press two buttons to dive.
I really want to know why there still isn't an option to adjust the opacity of HUD icons. The amount of times my vision has been obscured by an objective indicator over the years is obnoxious, i wish we could just see through them.
For world color intensity and probably the color filter 2, I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't find high saturation and bold colors useful. It's mostly that I find it straining and a little sickening. I'm not sure why it makes me feel that way but it might be holding me back since it looks like everyone says the colors are good.
Imo, this is the best feeling MP since Black Ops 2. I also love that there's a movement skill gap. Anyone complaining needs to get good or go back to MWIII. I finally feel like old CoD is back. *EDIT* By saying "old CoD is back" I mean that this is the first Call of Duty game since BO2 that has had all of the following features/attributes at the same time: a full length development cycle, a traditional scorestreak system, boots on the ground gameplay, dolphin diving, 100 health, automatic healing, a traditional perk system, a reasonable number of weapon attachments in the gunsmith all of which are actually useful, at least 16 entirely original 6v6 maps, map voting, lobbies that don't always disband, a fully fleshed out campaign, 2 fully original zombies maps at launch, an SBMM system that doesn't make me feel like I constantly have to sweat my dick off in order to win matches, the absence of interactable doors on MP maps (the bookshelf in skyline doesn't count), a traditional prestige system, no specialists, and innovative new mechanics that don't fundamentally change the essence of the game or "fix" things that weren't broken in the first place. Every other game has messed up in at least 5 or 6 of these dimensions. Also, the game just feels really good and polished to me.
MW3 actually had the skill gap in movement lol. You could do all sorts of movements to make your movements crazy, which would help break out of aim assist. With this game, all the movements are linear and not jerky, which allows the aim assist to keep tracking.
Anyone having problems with your tac sprint canceling?? I can be at a full tac sprint and if I click the left stick again I go back to walking. Other times I can spawn in and spam the left stick and never cancel my tac sprint. Am I going insane?!

It annoys me that there isnt an option to adjust acceleration for controllers. If my sens is on H10 V8 which is what i usually use, suddenly because my stick is pushed all the way it feels more like H16. And with the weak aim assist (and the complete lack of it at point blank now), its much harder to be as accuarte as i want to be
you can one button press slide to prone on controller(hybrid slide/dive) but its 2 different buttons that by default button layout has you awkwardly trying to squeeze your pinky and thumb together ... there is no "hybrid" setting for slide/dive on pc like there is for controller.
I use dive only and if i wanna slide i just jump before the slide its more consistent voz i know im gonna dive if i press the button iv been diving or sliding off the map with other settings

I havent gotten to play yet, is there gung-ho in this game? If there is, i can't imagine not always having sprint assist on. Most people I've talked to said that footsteps are baaically silent already, so making noise shouldn't be an issue and all that matters is hauling ass as fast as possible at all times.

I normally play MW3 on PS5, but playing the beta on Xbox Series X, COD6 feels very ”spoungey” is it just me or is the movement and aim vastly diffrent?
The normies outside of CoD always complain how nothing ever changes with the franchise, but that's just wrong. Ace made a video talking about how aim assist changed, but the truth is that Black Ops 6 is just very different compared to MWIII, at times even faster, thus making it feel like the aiming is more floaty I guess. You know, faster targets are harder to track.
In the HUD presets options I don't have the minimap settings, only "layouts" and "colors." Playing on Series X. Sucks because those are setting I do want to change.
Is anyone else having an issue where your character will immediately stop sprinting/tac sprinting right after activating? I have tap to sprint/single tap from sprint activated, and as soon as I release my left thumbstick, my character just stops sprinting, and trying again doesn't always work. The issue is intermittent.
How do I make my connection worse? Above a 15 ping I get good feeling lobbies, under 15 ping I get junk lobbies...90% of the time I have 8/9 ping and game feels horrible
Anyone know how to dive with Tactical sprint assist being on with 0 delay and hybrid??? Can't seem to work it whilst tapping/holding/spamming O on ps5 controller (I m never going to use my analog stick to do this before anyone asks)... Needs to be an option to double tap buttons to pull different things off like double tapping O to dive and tapping O to slide or vice versa.
Tac sprint just makes the controls more convoluted than it needs to be 💀.

If you are on console and have stick drift - With sprint assist ON and Sprint Delay to 0 - you can adjust dead zone to compensate.

Those are called dead slides causes by having 3+ inputs in one button only. Tap to slide or tap to dive has this but hybrid not so much

you should look into motion sensor (gyro-aiming) for mouse-like aiming. it makes aiming with controller so much better and more fun!

Right on the mark with tac sprint. It doesn’t fit into the Omni movement system and the animations and differences in sprint out times break my flow.
0:48 Why would you swap L1, R1 with L2 & R2? You would have to press in the aim and shoot trigger a lot deeper one would have thought.

Xbox does not have the options to change the scale of the mini map or the opacity of the icons. Looks like you have those on Playstation?
Under Customize HUD, I only have Layouts and Colors, there is no tab for Minimap to adjust the size

Most people I've talked to said that footsteps are baaically silent already, so making noise shouldn't be an issue and all that matters is hauling ass as fast as possible at all times.

I normally play MW3 on PS5, but playing the beta on Xbox Series X, COD6 feels very ”spoungey” is it just me or is the movement and aim vastly diffrent?

Ace made a video talking about how aim assist changed, but the truth is that Black Ops 6 is just very different compared to MWIII, at times even faster, thus making it feel like the aiming is more floaty I guess.
You know, faster targets are harder to track.
In the HUD presets options I don't have the minimap settings, only "layouts" and "colors." Playing on Series X. Sucks because those are setting I do want to change.

Theres SO much RED in some of the maps PLUS the Hardpoint is Red, had to change the enemy Color in order to see the nameplates.

Is anyone else having an issue where your character will immediately stop sprinting/tac sprinting right after activating? I have tap to sprint/single tap from sprint activated, and as soon as I release my left thumbstick, my character just stops sprinting, and trying again doesn't always work. The issue is intermittent.
I have a Dualsense Edge and dead zones for sticks and buttons is adjustable on it.
How do I make my connection worse? Above a 15 ping I get good feeling lobbies, under 15 ping I get junk lobbies...90% of the time I have 8/9 ping and game feels horrible
Omnimovement is just another mechanic for the sweats to master which will drive casual players away.
When I engage the hybrid I lose the ability to dive anyone know if I’m doing something wrong

Same...don't have those options. Just color adjustment.
You have to be in a match for those settings to appear. Just go into the training course and you'll see them

Anyone know how to dive with Tactical sprint assist being on with 0 delay and hybrid??? Can't seem to work it whilst tapping/holding/spamming O on ps5 controller (I m never going to use my analog stick to do this before anyone asks)... Needs to be an option to double tap buttons to pull different things off like double tapping O to dive and tapping O to slide or vice versa.
How do you adjust the minimap I don't see those settings
