    I saw this show...my parents let me stay up on the weekends to watch SNL, Midnight Special and Don Kershner's Rock Concert. That's the 70's 😊😊

      I sadly never did, born 10 yrs too late. Have got 2 copies of ‘75 “Fool For the City” albums, bought when they came out. One at home and one at my “happy place”.
      Slide guitarist Rod Price is something else too, like when he and Lonesome Dave do “call and response” w/their guitars on “I just Want to Make Love to You” song, spectacular musicians-band.

      love foghat , 1979 night shift very rarely left the 8track player in my 74 Toyota. So good. Take me to the river, I'll be standing by. Start the whole thing again 👌

    I had Foghat Live in either 8 track or cassette 3 or four times. If it got ate, lost or overcooked in the sun, I went and bought another copy. Fantastic cruisin' tunes. The 70's rocked.

    Kiss Alive was one of the greatest live albums ever, but Foghat Live was just as good. Great band. Long live Lonesome Dave.

      Couldn't agree more my friend. I always loved KISS the show, the look, and music. Foghat didn't have the big stage show but could out jam just about any band. And their song rocked just as hard as KISS. Two great bands. I really wish Foghat would have got the attention they deserved. Take care my friend and may God bless 🙏✝️🙏

    One of the best bands from the 70`s Still sounds as good today as it did then! One of my favorite Foghat songs.

    Thankfully, Foghat and Savoy Brown both had their prime "top of their game" performances documented in high quality on Midnight Special - both are blues rock giants!!

    Just great rock and roll. In the book, Star Making Machinery (about Commander Cody recording and releasing an album), one of their record company people mentions that everyone at that label would do anything for Foghat. They were extremely professional, always on time and just great to work with. A real class act.

    Foghat were popular live in America but for some strange reason were relatively unknown in Britain. They constantly toured America. Maybe that’s why. You go where you’re most popular generally.
    I always thought they were a great Blues based Rock band! Lonesome Dave had a voice built for Stadiums!

      Look cool but weigh a ton. I had a 76 Rickenbacker 4080 for a couple years. Got rid of it and my back thanked me.

      It's actually a bass and a guitar. Bass on top. Guitar on bottom. I think Dan Hartman had one when he was with Edgar Winter singing "Free Ride".

      I never put my Ricky on a scale. I’d imagine it was in around 13 14 pounds easy. I used a 4 1/2” wide guitar strap to offset the pressure on my back and shoulder.

    Lonesome Dave! Coobeans! Saw these guys three or four times. Even as late as the early 90s in a bar danceclub. Dave was still rockin it even that late. Such a fun little boogie band.

    The Boogie Men- it just doesn't get any better than this. Saw them live in Corpus Christi, TX in '79, touring in support of "Stone Blue". A highlight of my youth, especially when you consider the opening act- a little band known as Judas Priest.

    1st concert - Aerosmith, Foghat, Nugent, and the Outlaws - Pontiac Silverdome 1976. Foghat stole the show! Speaking on behalf of the 80,000 people there - Put these guys in the Rock n Roll HOF! WTF????

    Saw these guys four times twice as the headliner twice as a backup band lonesome Dave always wore his black Converse tennis shoes the same ones I wear when I'm playing drums because they're the most comfortable to move around in rest in peace lonesome Dave peverate I also saw kiss once but I'd prefer foghat or yes or just about anybody else I wasn't that impressed with them although they seem to have gathered a large community of listeners just my opinion piece to everyone be safe
