If you have a family with low priority jobs, let them have a garden + 2nd family so they both take care of it (or anything else)
Sometimes it is better to have a single family home (shoes). Otherwise you lock 2 familys in a job that could be done by 1.

The forcing 2 houses on a plot can be done by hitting the minus sign too

I guess I'd be doing what the knights who started my family name did - catching and stringing up the peasants who poached the King's deer. Or, as I'm an offshoot (hence no title, boo!) line, I'd do what second sons did - mercenary or priest. I'd probably choose priest out of those options, but I'd probably still have a bastard or two running around the village 😋

just give - and you make more space for the house, you do not need to cut off their land, the guide to throw away if you make such mistakes at the start

"If they live too far away the villagers wont be satisfied by what your market provides" this isnt true. There is no max distance. The issue is you dont have enough stuff stocked in the market

Removing farm workers after harvest is usefull too since they will start to plowing the field, but when winter comes the field is reset anyway. Wasted effort..
