So I just kitted out a Krait mk2 for deep core mining. I am unsure however, if I should buy a T8 and kit that one out instead... In comparison of the two, do you think the T8 is a worthy upgrade over the Krait? I would like some good manouverability with just A rated thrusters. TLDR: Is the T8 worth buying and switching modules over from my Krait Also very nice vid❤
Haven't played ED since they started adding the new ships, but the Cobra mk5 will probably bring me back and I can probably afford to buy all the new stuff. Been a while since I did core mining, but it was always something I enjoyed.
So how did it work out compared to other typical core miners like Python, Asp-X, Clipper... I personally have found the Orca to be the perfect core miner for short sessions. It has the same forward speed as the Clipper so it's the best at searching for golden rocks. It also has insanely good vertical thrusters almost like the vulture. Rather small cargo space(128t) and good jump range(41-50ly) means you'll be done with the whole run in an 60-90min
It is more maneuverable than the Python, has more cargo space than the ASP and the Clipper has good forward thrust but feels less agile with lateral and vertical thrust. It is a hard choice between the T8 and Clipper, unless you want the option to sell at an outpost in which case you would need a medium sized ship (T8)
Hi, wondering i anythign has changed, i use to deep core mine a lot, not or a few years but the charges doe stick after the first one lands they just bounce all the time, i know how to aim i made billons on low P dimons and Void opals
Hey can i ask you something. If I buy the Odyssey version using an old account, is that possible? Is the data that has been stored still there when using the Odyssey version?
If its console, they unfortunately closed account transfers, but if its pc, you should have everything. If you have it in horizons, you have it odyssey.
@SydewayzStan so i can buy without worrying about my data being lost if i buy Odyssey?. and can i switch back to horizon if i get bored of playing odyssey?
liked and subscribed - love how you used the ambience music to buffer your editing choices and fill in what the game usually misses out on (understandably). Though, perhaps your future videos would do well to remove the game music entirely? The Supercruise music overlap was unfortunately jarring to the music you chose overall, for your video. I MIGHT be tempted enough to trade in my T10 Defender for the T8 , for deep core mining ;)
i enjoyed doing this alot in my pimped out anaconda.... went along very fast ...speed and storagespace for heat with the tuning upgrades
Anaconda is a great ship too, just a little too bulky and less maneuverable. Has good cargo space and hardpoint choices though.

@@EvaZ313 all of your credits, ships, modules and faction standings should carry over. Powerplay will reset due to powerplay 2.0 on the newest update

Yeah, I'm not sure about powerplay but yes you can@@EvaZ313
@shadowmuffin1 so i can transfer my horizon account to Odyssey?
Deep core mining is still quite profitable and much less tedious than laser mining. I usually sell Monazite at ~700-800k per unit, ez money
@@Grzybo93 sometimes I enjoy just kicking back and mining, it can be very relaxing
How muchdid you make in that run?
@@lugia8167 I haven’t sold yet I just stored it in my fleet carrier. Musgravite is usually pretty easy to sell at $500k+, should be at least $131M
